Everyone knew that the great God of Light had given a blessing, which means that he agreed with His Highness Nicholas to be crowned as Holy Father.

Everyone was in an uproar after a brief stupor. They looked at Ling Jiu who suddenly appeared and became agitated.

"Who is he?"

"Who are you? How dare you create trouble here! You are disrespecting the Light Curia!" the Holy Father of Light shouted.

"The Light Curia?" Ling Jiu snickered as he glanced at the Holy Father of Light. "What the hell is the Light Curia? Why should I care?"

Everyone was in an uproar.

People stared at Ling Jiu as if they were looking at a monster. How could that guy be so arrogant and disrespect the Light Curia?

The point was, this was the Holy Hill of Light, the headquarters of the Light Curia. The Pantheon of Light was right in front, and all the higher-ups of the Light Curia were here.

How dared he said this?

Had he lost his mind?

"How dare you?"

The Holy Father of Light was enraged, his furious aura shooting out of him as he was about to take down Ling Jiu. But someone was even quicker than him.

The Holy Son Nicholas rose into the air all of a sudden and flew up in front of Ling Jiu, his face expressionless, his eyes icy and his voice bitter.

"Heretic, you have sinned!

"Sin number one: you trespassed the Holy Hill of Light!

"Sin number two: you interrupted the coronation ceremony!

"Sin number three: you insulted the Light Curia!

"Sin number four: you disrespected the great God of Light!

"These are heinous sins, and they are unforgivable!"

Nicholas's body was glowing in holy light, like a bright sun, exuding a holy air, and like an angel descending on Earth to judge evil.

"I will punish you on behalf of the God of Light!" Nicholas drew a long sword from his waist, held it high above his head, and then shouted, "Go to hell, you sinful heretic!"

"Shut up!" Annoyed, Ling Jiu extended his hand.

Kaduum!

An invisible big hand appeared out of thin air and grabbed Nicholas, who felt an overpowering force pulling him toward Ling Jiu.

"Open! Open!"

Nicholas's expression changed drastically. Holy light burst out of his body like boiling water, trying to force open the invisible big hand.

However, he was disappointed to find that the invisible big hand did not even budge an inch.

"D*mn it! How is this possible?"

Nicholas screamed frantically. He was in the alpha stage of his Sacred-hood. At this stage, even the acme of the Sacred could not catch him so easily.

Yet Ling Jiu, this unknown guy who came out of nowhere, did it.

"You are great at pretending but not your strength."

Ling Jiu sneered at Nicholas and then grabbed the air with his right hand. Nicholas's body exploded into a cloud of blood mist all of a sudden.

Ling Jiu released his grip. Blood mixed with internal organs splattered on the square made of white stone of Light. It was a horrible sight.

There was dead silence in front of the Pantheon of Light at this moment.

No one could have thought that Ling Jiu would kill the Holy Son Nicholas. No, not the Holy Son but the Holy Father, to be exact.

At the moment when the God of Light gave his blessing, Nicholas was the new Holy Father.

"How dare he!"

The Holy Father of Light trembled with fury, and the higher-ups of the Light Curia were even more furious.

How dare Ling Jiu kill their new Holy Father in front of so many people on the Holy Hill of Light! This was an utter contempt of the Light Curia.

This was clearly an act of humiliation and provocation to the Light Curia. It was utterly disrespectful to the Light Curia.

Some of them were responsible for guarding the Holy Father, some the pantheon, and some the Holy Son.

These 18 Knights Templars were Nicholas's lifelong guardian knights.

They guarded Nicholas when he was still the Holy Son.

When Nicholas became the Holy Father, they guarded him, the Holy Father.

But now, Nicholas was dead. What had they done?

They were derelict in their duty.

It was their shame.
