"If you really want to get to the bottom of things, I am going to leave you out of this!" Ling Jiu glanced at her. "Aren't you not happy with the current arrangementmaking light work of things and getting a handsome share of the harvest?"

Ai Yuhe was upset, really wanting to stand up and bang the table and walk out to show that she had backbone. But she back downed at the thought of the top three positions that were already at her fingertips.

"See, Ling-er, you brother is bullying me. You just sit by and watch?" Ai Yuhe pouted.

Just then, there was a cat meowing. The two girls stopped talking abruptly. As they turned their eyes towards the sound, they saw a Celestial Magical Cat.

"T-This is"

The two girls got to their feet abruptly, face pale. "Gosh! A Celestial Magical Cat! It's a Celestial Magical Cat!"

"Damn it! How could a Direbeast as terrifying as the Celestial Magical Cat appear here?"

"Fret not!"

Ling Jiu tried to calm them down with a smile. He then got up and walked towards the Celestial Magical Cat.

The two girls called out anxiously.

Ling Jiu gave them a smile, walked up to the Celestial Magical Cat, and patted it on the furry head under their watchful eyes.

The Celestial Magical Cat seemed to enjoy his pampering as it licked his hand affectionately.

The jaws of the two girls almost dropped to the floor. Was this really a Celestial Magical Cat, not a domestic one?

Ling Jiu grinned as he tore open a pack of nutritional dried meat. Once he put the nutritional dried meat in the bowl that he had specially prepared for the Celestial Magical Cat, it started gobbling up the things.

Ai Yuhe's face still looked pale. "Why is a Celestial Magical Cat ranked seventy-second on the Direbeast list so close to you? What have you done?"

She was momentarily speechless to Ling Jiu's reply.

The arrival of the Celestial Magical Cat frightened the two girls. Even when they saw it cozy up to Ling Jiu, it still terrified them. They felt uneasy during the entire dinner time. They went back to the room as soon as they finished their meal. Not for one second did they want to stay.

Ling Jiu cleaned up the dining table, took a shower, and then lay on the bed. The Celestial Magical Cat jumped over and got up next to Ling Jiu.

"Stay here, Celeste. I need your help tomorrow."

Ling Jiu rubbed the furry head of the Celestial Magical Cat with a smile.

Ling Jiu smiled, pleased with its response.

Class-Seven Direbeasts were highly intelligent. But Class-Eight Direbeasts were even smarter. They were no less intelligent than humans. It was said that Class-Nine Direbeasts could talk like humans did.

So Ling Jiu was not surprised that the Celestial Magical Cat could understand his words.

Ling Jiu stared at the radar screen nonchalantly.

"C-C-Class-Seven Direbeasts? You are kidding, right?"

Ai Yuhe was trembling. "That is the lord of all Direbeasts. Are you sure we can kill them? What if we get ourselves killed?"

"That's why I hire a super bodyguard!"

Ling Jiu smiled, pointing at Celeste lying on the bed. "There is nothing to be afraid of with his protection."

Looking at the Celestial Magical Cat, Ai Yuhe gulped. 'Why would you let another Direbeast to protect us while we hunt Class-Seven Direbeasts? You must be kidding me!'

"It just so happens that there is a Class-Seven Direbeast up ahead! Let's try it."

Ling Jiu woke up the sleeping Celestial Magical Cat. "Get up, Celeste!"

A lake appeared below. The water was turbid, and under an enormous tree near to the lake lay a hideous behemoth.

The behemoth was over 60 meters long, as large as a bus. Its body was covered with dark brown bumps. Its head was big, with fangs in its mouth and foul-smelling mucus dripping down its teeth.

It was Komodo Dragon, a Class-Seven Direbeast.

Whether in Eastern or Western culture, dragons are synonymous with power and terror. So any beast that can be called a dragon is absolutely terrifying!
