Still, he was willing to be the bigger person and let it go because he literally couldn't do anything about it and she could murder him at any moment

Rather than that, it was better to focus on the stats. For communication, the +1 was only when speaking with women, and he possessed a magical typewriter that could increase this by 2. So while his base communication stat wasn't high, it became strong in certain scenarios.

Well, overall, he'd gained another stat point, bringing him closer to his goal of becoming an elite alpha with an average of 8 across all his stats. It might take some time, but he was making good progress. Plus, the system always gave him opportunities, if he didn't fail and get crushed by the consequences. For example, his new monthly challenge.

Sighing, Ben shook his head. "Whatever, I just have to not fail." Although the challenge level for this task seemed ridiculous, at the moment, he had a very good lead. Her step-mother was Tina which was how he was able to finish the last monthly mission in the first place.

So, if he could get the two of them together...that would be a beautiful thing on many levels.

In addition, Ben could sense a theme to the system's recent missionsone of togetherness and family. He just hoped that his story would turn out better using this particular theme, than that garbage Justice League movie

Well, he was hopeful, but getting Tina and Laura together in one place might not be so easy, let alone closing the deal.
