The press conference was held in the hall on the first-floor of the Gu Corporation building.

The vast hall was filled with reporters and employees of the Gu Corporation at ten minutes to two in the afternoon. The hall was almost packed to the brim.

Xu Weilai and Xiao Chun stood in an unnoticeable corner on the second floor. They leant on a pillar waiting for Gu Yu and Zuo Si to make their appearance. The conference was supposed to start at two, and it was a few minutes short of two.

Xiao Chun gave Xu Weilai a nudge with her elbow out of a sudden. When Xu Weilai looked over, Xiao Chun gestured her chin to another side, telling her to look in the direction.

Xu Weilai looked in the direction she gestured and saw Zuo An and Qiao Chu. They had also come down from their office, but did not go down to the first floor. Instead, they found a spot on the second floor and overlooked the press conference on the first floor.

Zuo An raised his head and looked over the direction of Xu Weilai as if he felt her eyes on him. Their eyes met.

They stared at each other for a while, Zuo Ans gaze deep, while Xu Weilais calm. They looked at each other for another few seconds before they looked away at the same time.

It was no longer possible for them to be lovers, neither could they be friends after the last layers of pretense between them were taken down. They could only be enemies.

Xu Weilais sight fell towards the lower floor and saw Gu Yu walked in with Zuo Si on a path prepared for them earlier. They made their way into the hall and stood in front of the reporters and those present at the press conference.

The purpose of todays press conference is to clarify on the fake news of Gu Yu being murdered and was dead. Miss Xu was taken away by the police officers to assist in an investigation. Please stop making wild guess and publish fake news to mislead the public.

As you can see, Mr. Gu Yus disappearance during this period was only because of his illness. He is currently receiving treatment and his body is slowly recovering. I hope everyone can give Mr. Gu Yu some respect and let him recuperate in peace. Do not report any inaccurate news.

Gu Yus appearance was the most convincing proof that he was alive. All the reporters had nothing to ask about his death anymore. No questions came from the floor for a moment.

All the reporters and journalist was here for breaking news, but they got a clarification instead. The news about Gu Yus health and illness was not new too. It was a wasted trip for them to be here.
