Chapter 86: Coincidental Meeting at the Bar

“Why didn’t you answer?” Chen Chen asked.

“There’s no point in saying this. I’ll make a move first.” Bai Ran turned around and took a deep breath to calm herself.

She had been confused by him the past few times and could not defy him anymore.

“I’ll send you off!” Chen Chen shouted from behind.

“No need!” Bai Ran said and left.

The next day, she was chased by a group of people who questioned her relationship with Chen Chen.

Bai Ran was annoyed. She finally got off work. When she reached the entrance of the company, Lan Xin chased after her.

She patted Bai Ran’s shoulder and suggested, “I see that you’re also very tired facing these reporters and gossipy people today. Why don’t we go and relax?”

“Where are we going?” Bai Ran looked troubled. Actually, she wanted to go home and rest more.

“Let’s go to the bar! We’ll dance and drink. Once we get high, all our worries will be gone!”

Seeing that Bai Ran was still hesitating, Lan Xin held Bai Ran’s arm. “Let’s go. I guarantee you’ll forget everything after a while!”

“Alright then!” Bai Ran followed Lan Xin.

The two of them got into a taxi. Lan Xin said to the driver, “Sir, at Night Lanshan Bar.”

“Where is this? I don’t think I’ve heard of it,” Bai Ran asked.

“It’s normal that you don’t know. It’s a small but distinctive bar. Many bosses and rich second-generation heirs like to go there. It’s relatively private and not that chaotic,” Lan Xin introduced.

When the two of them arrived at the entrance of the bar, the sky was already very dark. Coupled with the name of the bar, it looked quite romantic.

After entering, Bai Ran realized that this place was indeed not as noisy as ordinary bars. Although the men and women on the stage were enjoying themselves, most of them did not squeeze together and flirt like other places.

Looking at this, Bai Ran was in a good mood.

Lan Xin asked for two glasses of wine and gave Bai Ran one. She asked, “Do you want to go up?”

“I won’t go. I’ll drink a little here and enjoy the atmosphere before going back,” Bai Ran said with a smile.

“That’s so boring!” Lan Xin took a sip of wine and said.

“I can watch you dance!” Bai Ran tilted her head and even looked forward to it.

“Alright then! I’ll show you my skills today!” Lan Xin said as she put down the wine cup and walked over.

Bai Ran held the cup and took a sip before looking at Lan Xin.

She was really like a fish in water.

As she watched with relish, Bai Ran suddenly saw a figure in a red dress beside her. She was wearing a feathered mask and was twisting her body to dance. She did not forget to exchange glances with a man beside her.

“Huh? Why does this figure look a little like Hu Wan? And who’s that man beside her?” Bai Ran muttered to herself curiously.

Then, she patted her head. Was it because she had been a little crazy about Chen Chen and Hu Wan recently? How could Hu Wan be here?

She had heart disease and might not even live for long. Wasn’t she crazy to come here and dance?

Furthermore, Hu Wan loved Chen Chen wholeheartedly. How could she be smiling like a flower to another man?

Bai Ran still smiled and did not care anymore. She continued to sip her wine and look at Lan Xin.

After a long time, Bai Ran’s eyes began to flutter. However, Lan Xin had not come over yet.

She said to herself, “Ah Xin, you’re too energetic. I can’t take it alone.”

Bai Ran yawned and stood up, preparing to go to the toilet and sober up.

Perhaps it was because of the alcohol, but Bai Ran’s head was still a little dizzy. However, she was still awake. She walked slowly to the female toilet but bumped into a woman. She even dropped something.

Bai Ran quickly reached out to pick it up. It was a feather mask. As she picked it up, she apologized. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t see…”

The woman seemed to have heard something shocking and turned to leave.
