Chapter 69: Night in the Room

Gu Chaoyan smiled calmly seeing Qing’s protesting face.

This girl simply could not stand her being wronged, on whichever occasion.

“It is fine, I don’t mind.” Gu Chaoyan thought for a while. “Get the hot water ready, please. I am taking a bath.”

Qing received the order and left in a hurry.

The Lin Family had got her two maids, but she was used to having Qing with her, forgetting that there were still two maids waiting at Jingxin Hut.

As she was bathing, she would do what she was always doing –

Adding the spring water squeezed subconsciously into the bathing tub.

Maybe it was because of the time that moved forward, the drops that were squeezed out, which used to be just one drop now doubled in amount. Nevertheless, she did not expect to get pretty too fast. It would cause her trouble. She was not afraid of anything, she just did not want to get in trouble. So every time she needed to add water, she used just one drop.

She changed every single day, a little skinnier, and a little fairer, as her facial features started becoming defined. And her physical quality would get better too.

After the bath, she felt very comfortable.

Gu Chaoyan put on the clothes and walked towards the inner room, when she called out subconsciously, “Qing, I am done.”

A while later, she failed to hear any answer.

She was just wondering what happened, when she fell into someone’s arms and got gagged.

A thief? That was the first idea that flashed across Gu Chaoyan’s head. And even she was unable to sense the thief’s moves!

She was just thinking about how to counter when a soft and warm voice arose, “It is me.”

Lord Huai?

Gu Chaoyan was just about to turn her head when Lord Huai released her.

“What are you doing here?” Gu Chaoyan was not startled, just surprised. The Lin Mansion might just be a small house with three yards, yet as far as she observed, there were many guards around. However, this man appeared in her room without drawing any attention.

The good-looking Zhou Huaijin frowned, and then he threw a displeased look at Gu Chaoyan. “I don’t like it when you suspect my abilities.”

Gu Chaoyan rolled her eyes.

She mumbled helplessly, “What is wrong with all the young men in the ancient time?”

Lin Jiashu had just left, and now someone more twisted was here.

Zhou Huaijin did not understand what she was talking about, but he caught the key point – all?

Someone else was here too?

He swept Gu Chaoyan into his arms and gripped her. “Never suspect my abilities and never focus on any other men, got it? Or...”

“Or what?” Gu Chaoyan asked casually, hoping to get rid of his grip.

“Or I will make you understand how capable I am! Just bear my warnings in mind, if you still hope to walk off the bed the following day!”

Gu Chaoyan flushed. She had had two lives, and she did have a boyfriend in her previous life, but she had never done anything flirty with anyone. The boyfriend she had in her previous life was the one that caused her death!

Hearing the words, Gu Chaoyan panicked.

“You...”

“What?”

“You are so filthy!” Gu Chaoyan protested.

Zhou Huaijin got startled. He noticed that the girl in his arms was still flushing. And when she protested she was as cute as an annoyed cat.

So now, he felt that a stream of warmth went straight down to the lower part of his body!
