Chapter 124: A Bet with County Princess Anxi

County Princess Anxi sized up Gu Chaoyan, looking extremely disdainful.

She should know what Saint College was like. Anyone who was able to study there were either imperial relatives or official’s children. As County Princess Anxi was speaking, she was acting so proudly that she did not notice Lord Huai whose face had already sunk.

If not for Gu Chaoyan who tried to stop him from doing anything, County Princess Anxi would not even get the chance to say anything more.

Lord Huai looked at Gu Chaoyan with confusion.

However, Gu Chaoyan reacted fast. She took an even bigger step forward and stopped Zhou Huaijin. Then she turned to County Princess Anxi and said with a smile, “Sure, however, if you lose the bet, you are going to give me 100,000 gold and shout the same words at the gate of Saint College!”

County Princess Anxi was just hesitating about how to fulfill the bet if she ever lost, when she burst out with determination after hearing the words. “Of course I do.”

Hearing that she agreed, Gu Chaoyan smiled. The money was going to be abundant for her to do a lot of things.

“Then please, Lord Huai and Princess Xunyang, you are our witnesses, in case someone doesn’t admit its occurence.” Gu Chaoyan said with a smile, looking rather cheerful.
