Chapter 3568 Knowledge

The last five minutes have remained, and we have deactivated the formation.

The Earth-Sovereigns, native and Grimms, had decided to trade on the other side, away from the Sky Sovereigns, who could target them.

We will target each other, but against the same level, we have some chance to survive. Against the Sky Sovereign, a few would be able to do so.

However, I have a feeling that some among Earth Sovereigns aren't easy to kill, even for the Sky Sovereigns.

I looked at the thirteen people. Two natives and eleven Grimms, who still hadn't come out and seen their state, the chances of them coming out, seemed quite low.

"The last minute to bet," said the man with a single curved horn.

He is the third Earth Sovereign to be woken up after me and women and immediately started betting. Nearly all people, including the Grimms, are betting with him.

Looking at who had woken up already; he had already made a handsome profit and would be at a loss, even if all of his bets fell.

Though, that likely won't happen.

Unlike most, I didn't bet; I didn't find it much interesting. Not the bets, but what people are betting with. I have no need for crystal and those rare resources.

If they had bet with the prizes they had received in this temple; I would be the first to bet.

Seconds passed and soon only one minute remained, and no one had woken. The horned man begins to collect the money and distribute the winning.

The Grimms paid, even Sky Sovereigns didn't try to cheat. The betting amount isn't big enough to be worth that.

"Even the Sky Sovereign is gone," said the Elf with a sigh. 

It is not ours, but of the Grimms, whose expressions become quite bad, that even in the last ten seconds, their Sky Sovereigns hadn't woken up.

I am sad for the two natives; I hope they get a second chance at it.

Finally, the last seconds passed, and the mist grew thick till nothing could be seen, before clearing a moment later.

Like always, everything had disappeared, including natives and Grimms.

The gates appeared, and they were made of beautiful black marble. This time, there was a colorful disk in front of each gate, and it didn't take long for people to find out what they were for.

The next challenge is knowledge and seeing how the projection is changing, as the Grimm spun the wheel. 

It is not hard to imagine, what we have to do.

Some people watched while others went toward the door. I had gone to the one and looked at the colorful disc, which had adjusted to a small size. The moment I appeared in front of it.

I stared at it for a moment before I began to spin it.

I stopped at the door for a second before stepping inside, and the place I had entered had truly shocked me and terrified me.

I found myself on the large floating disc, and below me, were massive spikes. Thousands of them sharpened to the degree that I couldn't even see their tips.

If I fell on them; I would definitely turn into a porcupine.

My powers are sealed here; there will be nothing against me to protect me. I don't think my body would be able to defend me against those sharp spikes.

Thankfully, runes are the thing I am most confident about. So, very likely, I will say through this challenge, without turning into a porcupine of blood and gore.

I looked at them for a few seconds before turning to the scroll in front of me. The rules are not difficult; I will have to face the challenge that came at me.

There is no information about the kind of challenge I would face, but it will be related to the runes, and I will have a whole day to complete it.

The prize in the wooden chest and what is inside it isn't decided yet.

In this challenge, the reward isn't predetermined. It will be decided through the performance and that made me very excited.

Seconds passed, and finally, the minute was over, and the challenge had revealed itself to me.

As I looked at it, a surprise couldn't help but appear on my face. I thought it would be like most challenges I had ever faced.

I would need to break the formation, but the challenge is not about the breaking, it is about creating the formation.
