Chapter 765  The Golden Era   

        The sudden revelation of Desira and Voraxa's presence injected a new layer of complexity into the already bewildering scene. "Today, we stand as a force to defy their tyranny, to break free from the chains that bind us, and to reclaim our rightful place in the realms of the infernal! No longer shall we bow to the whims of those who seek to control us!"

His words echoed across the grassy plain, rallying the demon army with the fervor of rebellion. Each syllable carried the weight of defiance, a proclamation against the established order. The demon soldiers, spurred by the impassioned speech, brandished their weapons with newfound determination, ready to challenge the forces that had long dominated their existence.

At the culmination of his grand oration, the leader raised his sword high, a symbol of their united purpose. "Today, we march forward, not as slaves, but as warriors! Warriors who will shatter the shackles of oppression and usher in a new era for our kind!"

"That's the spirit! Raise your sword and fight for your convictions!" Lorelai shouted, joining in with the rallying cries of the Rebellion Army.

"Whose side are you on?" Elena commented.

As the cheers of the Rebellion Army echoed through the air, Desira was standing stoically with her arms crossed, and observed the spectacle with a measured gaze. Her eyes, narrowed with a blend of amusement and disdain, conveying an unwavering confidence in her abilities.

When the leader finally concluded his speech, Desira stepped forward, her voice cutting through the charged atmosphere. "Know your place, you insolent fools. You speak of liberation, yet you fail to recognize the strength that stands before you. You may possess your numbers and fancy weapons, but your power is dwarfed in comparison to what I wield as the Warlord of Lusts and Desires."

Her words, delivered with a calm yet commanding demeanor, hung in the air like a subtle challenge. The Rebellion Army was momentarily taken aback by the unexpected interjection, and turned their attention to Desira.

"I am Desira, the embodiment of passion and desire. The very essence that fuels the desires of all living beings," she continued, her words carrying a magnetic authority. "You may hold sway over the masses, but don't dare challenge the force that is Lust. I am a power that transcends mere physical dominance. You, who seek liberation, must first recognize the strength that resides within your enemies. Remember . . . it was us, the Warlords who first united this realm hundreds of years ago."

Desira's eyes glinted with an intensity that hinted at the unfathomable depths of her capabilities. The Rebellion Army, initially united in their cause, now found themselves uncertain in their cause. The leader, confronted with Desira's assertive presence, struggled to find words to counter her proclamation. In the beginning the Netherworld was a chaotic abyss, a realm teeming with demons and devils vying for dominance. It was a time of anarchy and lawlessness while the ruling power only cared about their own desires until Obsidian X emerged — a force unparalleled in strength and cunning."

Obsidian X united the scattered factions under a single banner, forging a coalition of demons and devils that brought peace and freedom in the realm. With his Warlords that he forged unbreakable bonds with, they climbed the ranks, overcoming rivalries and challenges, to establish themselves as the most formidable beings in the Netherworld. It was a new era, an era of peace and freedom that the citizens didn't known before."

The Netherworld flourished under the rule of Obsidian X and his Warlords. During those years, the Warlords were seen as protectors, leaders who guided the Netherworld to prosperity. Everyone enjoyed an unprecedented era of peace, and demons and devils no longer fear for their lives every day. But, alas, nothing lasts forever.

The Rebellion leader recounted the sudden shift in the Warlords' demeanor following Obsidian X's demise. The once-united leaders, driven by their individual ambitions, turned oppressive and exploitative, trampling on the very freedoms they had once fought to establish.

When Obsidian X passed, the Warlords' unity crumbled. Ambition and greed took root, and the once-mighty coalition fractured into power-hungry factions. The golden era was replaced by an age of oppression, as the Warlords sought dominion over all, enforcing their rule with an iron fist.

"Obsidian X . . ." the leader muttered after a short silence, ". . . is no longer here."

His eyes blazed as he shouted, "And you are no longer our Warlords! You're nothing but demons we need to eliminate in order to truly achieve true peace!"

The leader of the Rebellion Army, fueled by the fervor of his emotions, launched a ferocious attack towards Desira. His weapon arced through the air with deadly intent, seeking to strike down the Warlord of Lusts and Desires. However, Desira, with a solemn face, faced the impending assault with an air of indifference.

"Foolish," she uttered with a calm yet cutting tone as she effortlessly sidestepped the attack. Desira's movements were almost ethereal, a dance around the chaos of the battlefield that showcased her prowess.

At the side, Azazel sighed with a mixture of concern and admonition. "Desira . . . Don't kill them," he implored.

However, Desira was unswayed by Azazel's plea. He had no love for her fellow demons, only indifference. But if Azazel asked her of it, then she would follow without question regardless of what she felt. Desira only harrumphed in response, and with a decisive stomp of her foot, she channeled her dark powers. Dark hearts, ominous and laden with temptation, manifested and fluttered towards the Rebellion Army like malevolent butterflies.
