The old butler raised his head and looked upstairs hearing Shangguan Tong ask about Huo Yao. He replied, "Now that you mention it. Miss Huo is usually up by this hour to work out. She slept late last night, so perhaps she decided to sleep in a little this morning."

Hearing this, Shangguan Tong raised her brow.

Yu was always a disciplined woman. She would not break her habits just because she slept late the previous night.

At this moment, Huo Jinfeng slowly walked down from upstairs. When he saw two people standing there, he asked on approaching them. "What are you talking about?"

The old butler hurriedly greeted Master Jinfeng and explained, "Nothing. We're just puzzled why Miss Huo hasn't come downstairs yet."

Hearing this, Huo Jinfeng looked at Shangguan Tong deeply with deep concern running through his heart.

He had received two text messages this morning.

Both of them were from her dear niece. The first one was to say goodbye telling him that she had returned home. In the other text message, she told him to take good care of Aunt Tong and not to let her out of the Huo estate. Otherwise, he would live to regret it.

He did not know where the second text message came from. During the past few days, he could sense an inexplicably deep connection between Huo Yao and Shangguan Tong.

It felt as though they had known each other for a long time.

Huo Jinfeng gathered his thoughts and said, "Yaoyao has an important project waiting for her back home, so she's flying home."

Shangguan Tong hastily looked at Huo Jinfeng. "Did she go back?"

Huo Jinfeng noticed her reaction. When he noticed Shangguan Tong's serious reaction, he also felt a little concerned. He nodded. "Uh huh."

The black jade was nowhere to be seen and Yu suddenly went back to the country. Shangguan Tong promptly looked worried.

She retreated by a step and turned to go upstairs.

Huo Jinfeng pulled her by the arm. "Tong?"

Shangguan Tong turned back and said straightforwardly without holding anything back, "I have to go back to the country as well."

"Why?" Huo Jinfeng automatically tightened his grip on her arm.

"If…" Shangguan Tong looked into Huo Jinfeng's eyes. If she did not go back, Huo Yao might die. However, she suppressed the words at the tip of her tongue. She looked away and said in an anxious tone, "I have to go back for good reason."

The girl went back to the country without warning. Now, the black jade was missing. Something must be going on. Otherwise, she would not have left in such a hurry.

Huo Jinfeng said nothing but refused to let go. The two of them went into a stalemate.

At this moment, the doorbell rang. The old butler did not dare to even breathe loudly. The moment he heard the doorbell, he felt relieved and hurriedly answered the door.

It was Xie.

He was carrying a bag in his hand.

"Morning, Master Jinfeng, Miss Tong." Xie looked at them as he entered. He was a very sensitive man, so he could sense something wrong with the atmosphere. He felt he had come at a bad time.

He paused and raised the bag in his hand. "Miss Huo told me to bring these herbs this morning."

Shangguan Tong looked at the bag. She thought about the way Huo Yao mentioned people were tracking her. She could not help looking at Huo Jinfeng and asked, "Do you know why she's suddenly leaving?"

Huo Jinfeng suddenly felt his throat turn dry. "Why?"

Shangguan Tong spoke softly and sighed, "Mirage Base has their eyes on her."

A second later, Huo Jinfeng let go of her hand.

"Is there any signal in the world that can avoid your detection?" said Myron in astonishment. He hugged the blanket sitting beside Huo Yao without the slightest care for his image.
