Chapter 498 “Jaw Dropping Beauty

Caring as always, Feng Shen wasted no time in ordering the servants to bring in a bucket of hot water and the needed medical supplies.

“It’s okay Feng Shen, the maids will be enough so you don’t need to do it.” Based on how eager the boy was acting when he returned with the medicine box, Ling Yue quickly became worried he might take it upon himself to do the task.

Truth was, the girl simply didn’t want the boy to see her wounds…..

“They are clumsy so I don’t trust them. Be good, let me handle everything.” Gentle in his fingers, the boy refuses to step back and began using the scissor, thus forcing the girl to sit obediently on her own.

Maybe she’s just not used it after spending such a long time in this state, or perhaps the sun’s ray was too intense for the new frail skin, but there’s definitely a touch of discomfort when the air hit her for the first time.

As for the boy currently looking down at that piece of artwork, he could barely breath at the moment. Its intoxicating, leaving him breathless.

“Are the wounds still very ugly? It stopped itching recently so I thought it might be almost good now, is it?” As reluctant as she was, the girl works up the nerve to ask while being too afraid to face the boy’s line of sight.

“Yes, its all healed now.”

After the brief moment of dazing out from that answer, Ling Yue immediately turns to the bronze mirror to confirm the truth.

It’s exactly like the boy says, there’s no festering wound, nor any rotting skin, only a bountiful layer of newly sprouted flesh that’s as smooth as the moonlight. But there are slight variations to her new looks though. For example, the contour was much more refined to the point where it even surprised the girl herself.

To be clear, Ling Yue was never on the ugly side to begin with, above average in light of never using much makeups, but this new look was astonishing no matter how one looked at it!

“Damn that Wu Chong, how dare he lie to me and turn me into a dumpling for so many days.” Blushing at herself, she starts complaining like a shy little girl that’s embarrassed by her own beauty.

Wu Chong… Ho, I bet he had long seen Ling Yue’s new appearance and just wanted to cover it up so others can’t see it. Slightly guilty in the face, Feng Shen suddenly didn’t know where to look when the girl gazed up at him.

Minutes later after she was done washing up by herself, the first thing Ling Yue heard when coming out of her room was Feng Shen chatting with some people.

After listening closer, she immediately recognized it was none other than her good old big sister and Little Crow coming back from their trip. Apparently the pair had just returned from their fun after a full night’s out.

Maybe perhaps they knew it was wrong to leave the girl behind, but Lan Caier’s appearance could only be called “criminal” in how quickly she flicked on that flattery button. Food, clothes, and plenty of rare ingredients, the big girl wasted no time in bringing out her spoils as compensation.
