Chapter 4: Martial Arts Club

School ended.

I stood up from my seat and took my backpack and started walking the hallway towards the exit of the school building.

I walked for another 7 minutes to reach the hall where the club was located, and now it was way different than it was when I came to register.

Now there were at least 60-70 people.

I walked to the building and went towards the teacher who is in charge of this club.

After walking there, I told them my name, and I said that I am a new club member and then he gave me a training outfit.

After that, I went towards one of the locker rooms to put on my training outfit and after that, I walked out of the locker room to walk one of the training dummies which are scattered everywhere in the hall.

'I could try Taekwondo at first…' I thought to myself and I went to kicking stance to be ready for a kick.

HA!

I kicked towards the training dummy and instantly sent it flying towards the nearby wall.

I was currently panting on the ground after doing all the moves, even though the last of the moves were done quite sloppily after reaching the end of my stamina.

This body is still quite weak and doing some of those moves was quite stressful.

But Ichiro's current body's flexibility isn't that bad that you can't do some of those moves.

''Hey, kid.'' I heard someone call behind my back so I turned towards him and I saw the teacher who is in charge of the club looking at me.

''Yes?'' I asked him.

''You seem to be quite experienced in Taekwondo, but strangely your body can't keep up.'' He looked at me strangely.

''O-oh yeah, I stopped training a year ago and my body has deteriorated quite a lot,'' I told him some lie because my taekwondo mastery would be quite insane in my last world, but it's nothing insane in this world, even some super-geniuses have already mastered 4 martial arts in my age, but it is strange because my body isn't athletic at all.

This means that training my Taekwondo to this stage is indeed quite strange with a weak body like mine.

''I see, you should improve your stamina first and then start working on techniques.'' He told me and I only nodded, because I was already going to do it.

I have still an ongoing Quest, so I need to hurry up with it.

I have about 24 hours left to finish it, but it should be plenty.

''Do you want a sparring partner?'' The teacher asked me and that sounded good for me.

''Sure,'' I told him and we started walking towards one of the club members who had blond hair with blue eyes with a height of 181cm.

''Daniel, this is your sparring partner for today.'' The teacher said to the young man and then introduced both of us.

''Daniel.''

''Ichiro.''

We both got introduced and we shook hands and walked towards one of the mats in the club hall.

We stood 10 meters from each other and then we bowed and took our attacking stances.

He was using Orthodox Stance. It is mainly used by boxers or MMA fighters.

'So he is right-handed…' I thought to myself because that stance is dominant on the right-handed side and knowing what the opponent is up to, is key to victory.

Even though this is only spar, I can see what I can do with my current body.

''Begin.'' The teacher said and Daniel instantly took action and rushed towards Ichiro.

Ichiro was still standing at his current position with his Kicking Stance from Taekwondo.

'Taekwondo…' Daniel thought to himself and now he knew to be prepared for kicks, but he is a close combat fighter so he had to get close.

Daniel got to attacking distance and was preparing to tank one of the kicks after that he planned to release few jabs.

Ichiro knew what he was planning, but Daniel made the mistake of underestimating Ichiro's attack strength.

Ichiro decided to kick with Sidekick, which hit Daniel's arm and made it numb!

'?!' Daniel was shocked after defending that attack, he barely felt his arm anymore.

and Ichiro's sidekick destroyed Daniel's form and he quickly tried to balance himself, but Ichiro was already attacking with Front Kick.

Ichiro kicked Daniel which sent him flying backward, making him roll in the ground a few more meters.

Daniel was still in the kneeling position after finishing rolling and then he was shocked seeing Ichiro already doing his next attack which was Axe Kick!

Axe Kick cleanly landed on Daniel's shoulder which knocked Daniel to the ground.

''ARGH!''

Daniel cried in pain in the ground while holding his shoulder, it isn't broken but definitely will hurt next few days.

''Spar over!'' The teacher said with a shocked look, even though Daniel wasn't his best student, he wasn't a pushover either.

'Ah, my leg hurts.' I thought to myself after finishing my spar against Daniel.

Even though it looked like I won easily, my legs still hurt a lot.

This body isn't made of fighting, but I will fix it.

and I heard a few system messages, which I am going to check out now.

''Good match,'' Daniel told me while holding his shoulder, looking like he was in pain.

''Good match,'' I told him and I started walking towards the locker room after having some small talk with Daniel and the teacher.

In the locker room, I put my school outfit back on and started walking out of the club hall, and went towards the school gate.

I already sent a text message to Ayako, that I can't leave with her today.

So I started walking alone towards home and after walking for some time I finally arrived there.

''I am home!'' I said after walking inside the house and took my shoes off.

''Welcome home son.'' My father Kurogami Eiji said to me which is the first time I met him since I got my memories back, but he still feels familiar to me

''Hello, dad,'' I replied with slight awkwardness.

''What took you so long?'' My mother asked from the kitchen.

''I joined martial arts club so it took some time.''

''What?!'' both my mom and dad were shocked for some reason

''W-what is it?'' I asked confusingly

''Oh my, is the world ending…'' My mother started mumbling while having a pale face.

''I-impossible.'' My dad said while kneeling like it was the end of a world

''What is with you two?'' I said while looking at them with a surprised face

''You have never shown any interest in sports, like never.'' My mother said to me

''Well people change!'' I told them

''I guess.'' My mother said with a pondering face

''Is it because of a girl?'' My dad said and after that both my mom and dad had huge smiles on their faces.

''Finally! Is it finally spring coming for my son!'' She said with a huge smile and came to hug me.

''N-no! I only was interested in martial arts nothing more!'' I told them while feeling like a headache is coming

''Sure sure.'' My dad said while winking and elbowing my waist

*Sigh*

I only sighed and went upstairs towards my room and opened the door and then closed it behind me with a slam.

In my room, I changed my outfit to some lighter outfit so I can finally start my Quest.

I will start doing everything except running for today, tomorrow morning I will wake up early and will do the running then.

So without further ado, I started with push-ups and I started already feeling tired at 20 push-ups, but I didn't stop and with a painful ending I managed to finish 100 push-ups.

After that, I did sit-ups, but I did those after resting for about 15 minutes after doing push-ups because it felt already like my body was breaking.

8 Minutes and painful 100 sit-ups later I started doing planks and squats.
