Chapter 268: The End Of The Underworld Tournament.

The spear started glowing with great intensity, and Yumi's allies had to cover their eyes because of the sudden light.

Ichiro lunged forwards and thrusted the spear forwards!

After the bright light had dimmed down slightly. Yumi's allies could finally look in front of them, but they came face-to-face with a blade.

*STAB*

The spear pierced through a young man's mouth and went through his throat. Yumi and her allies widened in horror after seeing one of them to get impaled instantly.

Ichiro pulled his spear back and watched as the young man fell lifelessly on the ground. His hand slightly trembled, and he almost cried out in agony but managed to keep his mouth shut.

He can't show any weaknesses, or he might die!

'Iron Style hurts too much to use… Reminds me of when I first came to this world…' Ichiro bit his lip and forcefully moved his spear around him and decided to use Iron Style more carefully.

''D-Don't let him attack! Dodge and counter-attack!'' Yumi screamed instructions.

''A-Aren't you going to help us?'' One of her allies asked with a pale face. He knew that Yumi was strongest out of them.

Yumi gritted her teeth and shouted, ''Of course, I will help! But, we need to keep the Power Limit Remover safe as well, right?!''

Her allies felt like they were being used, but it wasn't time for arguments.

They concentrated on the task ahead.

Ichiro felt very exhausted, but suddenly the spear started glowing dimly, and a part of his exhaustion was gone.

''Eh?'' He looked at the spear with a confused look, but then he saw the four individuals attacking him.

Ichiro quickly forgot about the weird scene. He swung the spear and managed to stop the incoming sword strike, but instantly another sword was approaching him from the side.

Memories of him using a spear in the Night's End surfaced into his mind. His spearmanship, which caused countless nightmares for the player base of Night's End, appeared on the world.

He swung the shaft of the spear towards the incoming sword and managed to deflect it with perfect time.

The two attackers had to stumble backward. Their faces showed their shock after witnessing the perfect spearsmanship.

Another two attacked him, but they weren't successful either.

Ichiro grabbed the spear of the shaft with his two hands and swung it towards the two swords, and once the spear collided with the swords… The individuals who were holding the swords were sent flying a few dozen meters away.

Ichiro slammed the spear's shaft deep inside one of the young men's torso and sent him flying.

The young man spat mouthfuls of blood while in midair and crashed on the floor of the arena shortly afterward.

Only one person remained near him. He was a young man with a bald face and a somewhat sickly-looking face.

His body trembled, and some kind of liquid trickled down his legs, which stained the floor below him in yellowish color.

Ichiro sighed and sent the bald young man flying as well.

Finally, he turned his head towards Yumi, but… He didn't see her anywhere.

But, he heard distinct noises of running. He quickly turned his body around and saw Yumi running away while carrying the wooden box.

His eyes became cold, and he instantly ran after her.

Yumi's allies looked at the running Yumi with absolute hate.

They even wished for Ichiro to catch him and make her suffer.

While running, Ichiro felt like his legs weighed a ton, and he had a feeling that instead of running, he was crawling.

He saw Yumi getting further away with her black hair swaying side to side.

''Agh!'' Ichiro accidentally stumbled, and soon he found himself falling down to the ground.

He quickly put his hands below him, which stopped his falling, but he couldn't hold his body's weight and soon crashed down on the ground.

Yumi heard a loud sound behind her, which caused her to turn around in shock.

She was surprised to see Ichiro trying to stand up, but he looked very frail and weak.

'Acting…? No… He is injured!' A cold look appeared on her face. She took her daggers from her shorts and started slowly walking towards Ichiro.

''Not so tough anymore!'' Yumi shouted with a scorning look.

Ichiro looked at her with bloodshot eyes, ''As if I would be killed by someone like you, It would be too humiliating!'' His muscles bulged as he forcefully pushed him to stand.

But then, blood started gushing out of his arms!

He pushed him too hard, which caused his flesh to fracture!

But Ichiro didn't seem to care. He grabbed his spear and pointed it towards Yumi.

''Hmph!'' Yumi snorted and was confident that she would be the victor of this battle!

''Ready to die?!'' She screamed and lunged forwards.

Ichiro gritted his teeth and swung the spear forwards!

Their weapons were about to clash, but then…

*RING!*

An ear-piercing sound echoed in the stadium, which caused both Ichiro and Yumi to cover their ears.

''AHH!'' Yumi screamed and fell down on the ground.

Ichiro fell down on his knees and felt like his eardrums were about to explode, but soon, the sound disappeared.

''A-Ahh…'' Yumi had a trail of blood coming from her ears while Ichiro was simply rubbing his painful ears.

*Ding* *Ding*

A sound started coming from the speakers, ''Everyone! Stop fighting! The Underworld tournament is over!''

Yumi widened her eyes and looked at the wooden box, which was lying right next to her.

A massive smile appeared on her face, ''I-I won!!!''

Ichiro sighed and lowered his head.

Yumi stood up and laughed, ''Hahahaha! I won, loser!'' She showed a middle finger towards Ichiro and smugly smiled.

Ichiro narrowed his eyes, 'Toxic bitch!'

Again, a voice came from the speakers, ''To decide the winner of the Underworld was a very close fight, which gave great entertainment! Everyone, congratulate the winner with 20 eliminations!''

Yumi smugly smiled, but then following words caused her smile to freeze.

''Kurogami Ichiro!''

Ichiro widened his eyes in shock and looked at the smartwatch.
