Chapter 19: Island of Death

(Commentators Booth)

''First eliminated team is Westland, who just lost to Irio after Ichiro's excellent performance!'' Commentator A shouted excitedly

''Indeed, Ichiro showed great patience in the fight and it felt like he still had some more in the store for us, what do you say?'' Commentator B asked from his co-caster

''I saw it too, at start of the fight, Ichiro showed the excellent power of his kicks, but then Seth took control of the fight for a moment, but suddenly Ichiro parried Seth's fist perfectly, which led Ichiro to take the upper hand of the fight and completely controlling the match afterward.'' Commentator A said while looking at the clips of the match.

''It was game over after Seth lost his concentration after getting his attack parried and he couldn't do anything after that; nail to the coffin was when Ichiro grabbed Seth's arm and threw him to the ground.'' Commentator B said afterward and was very impressed.

''I have seen many geniuses who competed in the middle school tournament and most of them ended as Martial Kings or above, but Ichiro showed great fighting talent, even surpassing some of the previous King Level Talents.'' Commentator A said

''Ichiro could be at Emperor Level Talent or maybe even Monarch Level Talent, what do you think?'' Commentator B asked

''Close call… Slych could be called Monarch Level Talent, but I am not sure about Ichiro - we will see when the tournament progresses to later stages.'' Commentator A ended the conversation with that and started commentating on other fights.

(In Irio)

''Yeeeeeees!'' Ayako yelled with a huge smile and waving her hands up in the air

''Great!'' Eiji said while clenching his fist with a smile.

''…'' Azumi - Ichiro's mother sat there with a smile and looking at her husband and daughter celebrating with a gentle smile

''I will text my friends and tell them that it was my brother!'' Ayako said loudly and ran towards her room to take her phone to text her friends.

''They won!'' Leia exclaimed with stars in her eyes.

''Lucas and Ichiro did great.'' Leia's mother Iris said gently

''Lucas was great, Ichiro was kinda meh,'' Luke said while sulking.

''Daddy! MY Ichiro is the greatest! Don't you bully him or I won't talk to you anymore!'' Leia said while pouting.

''…WHAT!'' Luke roared with a terrified expression.

''Hmph!'' Leia kept pouting while not looking at Luke.

'It's that bastard's fault! He dared to seduce my daughter!' Luke thought grimly to himself while biting his nails and looking with a grudge towards Ichiro's figure in the TV.

Iris only shook her head while looking at her husband who sometimes gets a little bit too protective.

(Somewhere in Arya)

''…'' A man with a leather jacket with 13 stars on the back of the jacket, black leather pants, and black hair with a slick haircut, was sitting in the bar while drinking beer and watching the tournament shown in TV.

''Does it bring memories?'' Bartender asked.

''…Yeah.'' Man sighed.

''He kind of reminds me of you.'' The bartender said with a smile.

''…I hope not, otherwise, his future would be full of hardships.'' The man said and paid the bill and stood up to leave.

''I have heard more and more Martial Monarchs getting out of contact… is something happening?'' Bartender asked with a serious expression

''…'' Man stood in silence, then looked behind him and his black eyes looked at the bartender.''…I have invited to report back to the base…'' The man said which made the bartender's eyes widen.

''Damn…'' Bartender cursed and took another glance towards the man who was walking out of the bar.

''Something big is happening…'' The bartender muttered and went back to work.

(In the Stadium)

''Good job,'' Lucas said to me after I finished my fight.

I arrived next to him and gave a gentle nod and asked from Lucas.''Round of 64 won't be anytime soon, should we do something meantime?''

''Hmm…'' Lucas thought with thinking posture and said shortly after.''There won't be anything to do until our next round, we could watch Slych's school fight, but it would be obvious who would win.'' Lucas thought for a moment longer and then recalled something.''We could go to roam around Ramu, I heard there will be a festival during the tournament.'' Lucas said and I gave him a nod.

I left with him while leaving others behind.

We left the stadium while running and reached the festival street and it was full of people, while there were multiple screens showing the tournament.

I walked around with Lucas and we received quite a lot of attention because we were shown on the program of the tournament.

But Lucas and I ran away quickly from the approaching crowd and managed to get to the clothing store to buy temporary clothes and caps to hide our features.

The streets were full of food stands and souvenir stands from all around the world.

I looked all around me with great curiosity and I admired everything around me.

And getting few comments from Lucas that I looked like a kid, which I decided to punish him with a great punch to the nuts.

Didn't dare to comment about my behavior after that.

Looking at items from all around the world was quite an experience.

There were all kinds of metals, rocks, and all sorts of items that represented a continent.

and since this world is way larger than Earth, it was quite of an experience.

I don't miss Earth at all after experiencing these things, but I have missed my previous parents on Earth, who probably mourned after my death.

But I have to continue living and that is what I am going to do.

In the future, I will travel all around the world and see everything that this world has to offer.

I heard that Arya has the most advanced continent in terms of medicine and technology.

Damio, our neighbor continent has the most famous landscapes with all kinds of breathtaking views, but Damio is also the place where most of the underworld tournament is held.

Lyrio was another neighbor continent and it was the tiniest continent, but it still had the greatest amount of metal and gold mines in the world, so it was one of the wealthiest continents in the world.

Poiro in the other hand was quite a deserted continent with a lot of deserts and wastelands, but it is also one of the strongest continents where most of the Martial Kings come from.

Wyra was a very strange continent, you can't go there by plane, because some kind of electromagnetic forcefield was around it, so you can go there only by land and the closest continent was Marq, where a long bridge which connected Marq and Wyra was located.

Marq was called Central Continent, it was pretty much in the center of the world with all continents circling around it.

It was the largest and strongest continent, with wealth that can rival Lyrio and it was also the most populated continent. It was also a place, where every 10 years tournament called Tournament of Strong is held, where people from every place in the world join to test their strength.

7 Years ago Abyss won the tournament with overwhelming strength, so that means the next tournament will be held in 3 years!

It doesn't matter what rank you are, you can still join, and if you can defeat people with a higher rank than you. You would have a chance to improve your rank.

That tournament is mostly to test the strength of peak what this world has to offer and to give experience towards younger fighters.

But that tournament isn't an ordinary kind… There you won't be fighting in the arenas, but instead, have all kinds of events which makes the audience always surprised and thrilled.

It is the only place where everyone can fight against the greatest fighters this world has to offer.

And also there were millions of smaller islands around the continents, where mutated beasts reign.

But there was a huge island, with a radius of 13,000,000km, which can barely be called an island anymore.

That island is called the Island of Death because most of the strongest mutated beasts are there and the deeper you go to the island, the stronger the beasts are and not many survive there with countless mysterious deaths already occurred in that island.

One team which consisted of Martial God and Few Martial Demi-gods with 5 Martial Saints and dozens of Martial Monarchs tried to get as close to the center of the island as possible, to see the true terror of the Island of Death.

But people soon lost contact with them after they traveled 300,000km towards the center of the island.

Just like that, they lost one of the only Martial Gods alive and other strong fighters, without even knowing what kind of beasts resided there.

They were considering sending Abyss there, but that suggestion was soon shot down, who would be responsible if the strongest man in the world suddenly died while sending him to the island with the name death on it.

They didn't want any more sh*t on their necks after losing one of Martial Gods.

But people from all the continents decided to put the base on the Island of Death, to monitor the beasts residing there.

That base alone had Martial God as Commander with Martial Demi-God as Vice-Commander and dozens of Martial Monarchs and Martial Emperors with hundreds of Martial Kings.

It is a place where even Abyss can't break in and leave alive.

That just tells how much important the Island of Death is…
