Chapter 189: Threat.

The red-eyes figure looked at Ichiro with calmness.

He has two pointy furry ears with a sharp nose, and the tip of the nose is black-colored. His legs were very slim and skinny even, but Ichiro can instantly tell that this Mutated Beast is a proper fighter!

Ichiro didn't know how strong that Mutated Beast is.

But he had one way to know.

He quickly took an item from his Inventory.

The item was a small box-like item with 15 stars.

This is an item he received from Abyss before he left.

This is Rank Meter— it tells how strong the Mutated Beast depends on how much energy the Beast leaks.

Every Mutated Beast has their own Energy Core inside them, which gives them its power, but it is also easy to know how strong the Beast is by how strong the energy is.

Ichiro pointed the meter towards the red-eyes figure, and it started beeping.

The red-eyed figure looked confused and wondered what the human in front of him was doing.

Ichiro saw that only 4 stars were lit up and only once beeped in the 5 star.

It means that the Mutated Beast is Half-Step Martial Commander.

Ichiro put it back on the Inventory and pointed his swords at the Mutated Beast.

The red-eyed Fury Beast can sense Ichiro's intention to kill him.

''Grrr…'' The Fury Beast growled and put his two arms on attacking stance.

He looked very much like a human, but there was obvious animality in his movements, something humans don't really possess.

Ichiro doesn't know whether there are more Mutated Beasts near, and their battle might attract more— that's why his plan is to end this fight as fast as possible.

But that was easier said than done.

Ichiro started strolling towards the red-eyed figure, hoping that he would get in attacking range and swiftly end the deathmatch.

But the Fury Beast wasn't dumb— he instantly started throwing his nails, which looked like wooden spikes!

Even one of them can cause grave injuries.

Ichiro remembered that young man's corpse, who had a massive hole in his stomach.

The red-eyed figure's nails looked like they could make a sizeable hole in the stomach.

Ichiro's swords started moving like they were possessed, but every swing had a certain meaning.

Every swing of the sword, few of the nails were deflected, there weren't any waste movements.

Soon, a dozen nails were sliced in half and lying on the ground.

Ichiro quickly moved with blinding speed, and the red-eyed figure wasn't prepared at all!

The Fury Beast was waiting for his nails to grow back, but then Ichiro appeared in front of him and swung his sword.

The Fury Beast anxiously put his arm on the way, but Ichiro's sword easily separated his arm from the rest of his body.

''ARR—'' The Fury Beast started crying in agony, but Ichiro quickly used his left sword and stabbed it through the Fury Beasts' skull.

The Fury Beast became lifeless, and the light left his eyes.

Ichiro took his swords back and looked at the corpse of the Fury Beast.

Ichiro wiped the blood off from the sword and took the Fury Beasts corpse into his Inventory.

'I bet this gives some money…' Ichiro sneakily thought.

But then the System crushed his dreams.

''Why?!'' Ichiro's shout echoed in the forest, ''I am poor!''

Ichiro gritted his teeth and kicked the tree next to him.

But that caused the snow from the tree to fall down to his figure, making him a snowman.

Ichiro with annoyance, wiped the snow out of his body.

''Once I reach Martial Saint and get my money… I will buy so much unnecessary sh*t.'' Ichiro and his idiotic thoughts started wandering in the snowy forest.

He had no idea that a small drone was following behind him.

But then… The drone went past one of the trees, and a massive hand appeared out of nowhere and crushed the drone to pieces!

From the tree… A massive monkey was seen. His figure was around 5m in height with a muscular body and brown fur covering his body. His fists were also huge, vastly different from the rest of his body.

His fists were almost as big as his head!

The monkey looked at the destroyed drone in his hand and crushed it to pieces.

The people in the Fortress were panicking because suddenly their screen, which showed the video feed of Ichiro was cut off!

Peter was pale— he knew that something was amiss.

''I will go there.'' He said towards the dozen other people in the room.

The room was quite spacious with hundreds of PCs, and hundreds of screens in the wall, showing the area around the Fortress and a few places in the Frozen Island.

He turned around and was about to leave the room, but then a startled sound came.

''COMMANDER, LOOK!'' One of the soldiers screamed.

Peter turned around and grimaced.

Hundreds of Mutated Beasts left the forest simultaneously and stopped some distance away from the fortress walls.

''Fuck!'' Peter grimaced.

The attack of the Mutated Beasts came at the worst time possible— he can't leave the fortress and risk hundreds of people's lives just to save one, and in the fortress is his precious daughter as well.

He gulped and said, ''Prepare the defenses!''

Soldiers in the Fortress became serious, and they started doing their jobs.

They are professionals, and they won't get scared of hundred Mutated Beasts, they have survived attacks of thousands of them, and they are still standing!

But unfortunately.

This means that the people in Frozen Island most likely will die.

Most of the time Mutated Beasts are staying on their territory, but now all the Mutated Beasts are ignoring the borders of territories, and the threat is way higher because of that!

Ichiro doesn't know the threat he is in, and he had no idea… That a massive monkey was silently following behind him…
