Chapter 12: Warehouse

''How did you find out where Irkum is?'' Lucas asked after the taxi driver started driving towards our destination.

''I heard one of the corrupted police officers having a phone call while I was hiding at the kitchen and his words made me think that he knew where Irkum was.'' I told and continued.''So I had to threaten him to find out where he is.''

''What did you do to the police officer, you didn't let him go that easily right,'' Lucas questioned.

''I had to take care of him, he knew how my voice sounded like and he probably saw my face as well.'' I said and looked at Lucas' face and continued.''I couldn't risk him figuring out who I was, which he probably would have figured out easily with help of Irkum.''

''I understand… you did the right thing.''Lucas replied.''He probably would have gone after your family.''

''We need to take care of Irkum.'' I said to him and continued with a cold tone.''He already knows how I look like and will easily figure out where I live - my parents and my sister will never be safe and also he would go after your little sister.''

''Yes…'' Lucas mumbled while clenching his fists, having a determined face.

''Are you sure you can do it… have u ever killed before?'' I asked while looking at Lucas with worry.

''I do have experience of almost killing… but I was stopped before I could do it.'' Lucas said afterward while having a conflicted look on his face.

''What happened?''

''One of my friends was almost killed by some college student.'' Lucas said with a sigh and then continued.''Of course, I was very angry; I figured out first where that bastard was and I found him hanging out with his friends, so I attacked him.''

''I managed to overpower him quickly because I took him by surprise, and even though he was 5 years older than I was at the time, he was still at Martial Soldier rank like I was at that time, that incident happened when I was at 14 years old.'' Lucas said and then continued with a sad smile.''Then his friends came for his rescue after they woke up from the initial shock and managed to push me away.''

''Then what?'' I asked curiously

''College student who almost killed my friend was bleeding in the ground and I only looked at him with the same cold look on my face and I got kind of scared afterward because I felt nothing when I almost killed him, so I decided to run away.''

''So what happened to him?''

''He got better, just like my friend did and I managed to escape any punishment too because it was dark where I attacked them, so they couldn't recognize me.'' Lucas sighed and then looked at me with worry and said.''Are you sure you are fine after killing someone?''

''Yes… it still feels surreal, but I feel fine,'' I told him and put my head down while feeling guilty making him worry since he has experienced almost killing someone, but now he thinks I killed someone for my first time, which isn't really true since I have killed in my past life.

but even though I have killed people before, it still isn't easy to get familiar with it and I don't want to become some psychopath who doesn't mind killing.

As long I feel guilty after killing someone, it makes me feel like a proper human being.

''You can always talk to me if you feel like it,'' Lucas told me with a small smile and I only nodded him with gratitude.

'Indeed good friend.' I thought to myself with a smile and looking at Lucas in a new light, it's hard to find someone who is also ready to take revenge for his friends and also worry for me as he does now, even though we met first time a few days ago.

After 5 more minute's we finally arrived at the Harbor.

''We have arrived.'' The taxi driver told us and I quickly paid him.

We started walking towards the harbor.

''Quite many people…'' I murmured to Lucas who was standing next to me.

''Indeed, let's go quietly,'' Lucas said and I started following behind him while walking slowly while avoiding people.

''Which warehouse was it?'' Lucas asked and I told him it was Nr.22

Lucas and I started making our way towards warehouse Nr.22 and after 10 minutes of sneaking, we finally arrived at the decently big warehouse with number 22 on the front.

''There seems to be security,'' Lucas said.

I also saw multiple people guarding the warehouse.

''He is there for sure,'' I said and Lucas nodded.

''How are we going to do this?'' Lucas asked and I started thinking.

''…Our priority is killing Irkum, no matter what.'' I said and continued. ''Let's go to another side of the warehouse and maybe we will find the back door or window, which isn't properly guarded.''

Lucas nodded and I started walking with him towards another side of the warehouse while avoiding guards from seeing us.

''There,'' Lucas said and pointed towards the window which is open, but it's 5 meters from the ground.

''Will you go or me?'' I asked him because another one needs to lift the other up to reach the window.

''I will do it…'' Lucas said and I only nodded.

''Give me your phone number, if something happens, call me,'' I told and we exchanged phone numbers.

We looked at the guards who were at the front of the warehouse and saw that they weren't looking at us.

We decided to quickly run towards the window and after arriving there.

I quickly put my hands on my knee, while I was in one knee position and Lucas put his leg to my palms and I lifted him up towards the window and Lucas successfully managed to sneak in.

I quickly ran towards the same hiding spot where we were previously and I started waiting for Lucas.

''Good luck…'' I murmured aloud and hoping that Lucas will be fine.

(Lucas POV)

With help of Ichiro, I managed to reach the window and it was wide open, so it was easy for me to enter it.

I landed swiftly to the ground in the warehouse and I looked around me. I saw many boxes and lights were flickering, making the warehouse look very creepy.

Using the boxes as cover, I started to sneak in closer to the stairs which led to the basement I think.

I arrived at the stairs which led down somewhere.

I tried to be as silent as possible once I started going down the stairs.

I went at least 4 floors down and I finally arrived at the bottom level.

I looked around the corner and I saw a single door with 2 guards.

It seems that there is something important there.

Ichiro mentioned some kind of plan which the dead police officer said in the call and it made me slightly worried.

but I have only one plan here and that is to eliminate Irkum.

Still thinking about killing someone, makes me slightly afraid.

'I can't let Ichiro wait…' I thought to myself and I am eternally grateful towards Ichiro, he saved my dear little sister after all.

I can't let him down.

I walked from my hiding spot and started walking towards guards, they saw me after I walked few meters towards them.

''Halt! Who is there!'' Guard 1 yelled while both of them pointed guns at me

''Easy there, I was sent here to monitor Irkum,'' I said while having my arms up.

''We weren't informed about this.'' Guard 2 said warily

''Well, he wasn't very happy with Irkum's actions, That's why I am here to make sure that he stays in line.'' I spouted some bullsh*t lies while slowly walking towards guards.

''Stay there! I will make a call.'' Guard 2 said and put his gun back into his holster and started taking the phone from his pocket.

but that was all I needed.

I put all my strength on my leg muscles making the floor crack under my foot.

My leg muscles instantly started increasing in size and it packed incredible power!

*Crack*

The floor cracked after I started rushing towards Guard 1 who still had his gun pointed at me.

''!'' Guard 1 and Guard 2 were shocked and Guard 1 quickly aimed at me, but it was too late, I already arrived where he was.

*Bang!*

Guard 1 shot at me, but he missed me because of my speed which made me look like a blur.

I took hold of his hand and broke it like a twig.

''Argh!'' He screamed in agony, but it was too late for him.

I quickly chopped the back of his neck, making him unconscious.

I looked towards Guard 2 and he was clumsily trying to take his gun from his holster, but I aimed my next kick towards his unguarded nape and made him unconscious too.

I quickly took their guns and their gun holsters and wrapped them around my waist.

I looked at the steel door in front of me and put my hand on the doorknob and opened it.

Looking inside, I saw a white ceiling, a white floor, and some things belonging to a laboratory.

'What are they doing here…' I thought to myself and opened the door fully and started sneaking in closer to where the noise was coming from.

I heard a noise coming from one of the doors and I rushed there.

I opened the door a little bit.

I saw some men with lab coats and I saw Irkum, on the table while he was getting treated for his injuries.

I took one of the guns from my holster and opened the door with a slam.

I pointed the gun at men with lab coats.

''Hands up!'' I roared which made them flinch while looking with afraid expressions towards me.

They quickly put their hands up.

''Who?!'' Irkum yelled while looking at me warily and quickly stood up from the table.

''Don't fucking move you piece of sh*t!'' I roared and I took my other gun from the holster and aimed it at Irkum who was looking at me with a smirk

''You aren't going to shoot me, you don't have balls to do it, Hahaha!'' Irkum said with a laugh.

''Don't fucking move,'' I said while looking coldly towards Irkum

''Or what, Kekeke'' Irkum then started walking towards me ignoring my threats.

''I have seen killers boy and you aren't one of them,'' Irkum said while looking at me with a mocking look

''True… I am not a killer.'' I said which made Irkum smile even more, but I wasn't done yet.''But killing you won't make me a killer… it makes me do justice for people you murdered.'' I said coldly which made Irkum widen his eyes.

*Bang*

I pulled the trigger while the bullet went straight through Irkum's forehead

Killing him instantly.

'Urgh…' I tried not to vomit, while I was slightly trembling. 'I actually killed him… I am not a killer… Killing him won't make me any worse as a human being…'

My face turned pale while seeing Irkum's lifeless body, but I had to leave the warehouse now!

I looked towards scared men with lab coats and I pointed guns at them which made them scared, some even cried.

''I will let you go for now, but if you tell anyone what happened here… I will hunt you all down,'' I said coldly and men with lab coats nodded in hurry, and then I put the guns back to the holster.

I ran through the door, I started making my way over to the steel door.

*Brrr* *Brrrr*

I heard vibrations coming from my pocket, which means someone is calling to me.

I took the phone quickly from my pocket and saw that Ichiro calling me, which made me have a bad feeling.

*Clank*

I quickly answered and I heard Ichiro's voice who seemed in panic.''Hurry up Lucas, more people came with few black cars, and people leading them to seem strong, maybe Martial Captain ranker!''

I widened my eyes and my face went pale instantly.

''Alright, I have killed Irkum, I am coming!'' I said and ran through the hallway and started going through the stairs at incredible speed and arrived at the warehouse.

I saw the warehouse's door open and I quickly went hiding behind one of the boxes.

From there I took few glimpses towards the people who came through the door and I instantly knew who was strong and who was not, because I have fought against many strong people in the middle school tournament and I instantly knew after I saw the man who was in middle in the crowd was incredibly strong.

Martial Captain…

That was my only thought while seeing the man.

And the men next to him were all Martial Leaders.
