With all the gloomy thoughts going through his head, big Mr. Gray Wolf slowly pinched his lips shut.

The night before, as he had recovered a little bit of his fiend energy, he visited previous dwelling place and beat up the few white-eyed wolves who had bullied Ruan Qiuqiu in the past.

For the sake of covering his identity, he used the fiend energy so the wolves would not know that it was him.

Nevertheless, most of the things that he had stored had already been emptied out. There were only two level 4 Telepathy and Spirit Gathering Pearls.

He has yet to reach level 5 himself nor did he wish to control Qiuqiu. He definitely would not want to force her into a contract with him. These two pearls that could be used for communication and other effects would work for now.

These two pearls, however, had been stained with his blood. When Qiuqiu carried one around with her, she would have his scent all over her.

All of the other male demons would pick up the scent and stay away from her.

He was a big bad who would stop at nothing.

Ruan Qiuqiu had no idea that the manipulative wolf was already awake. She sat up and adjusted the animal skin covering over Yuan Jue.

Feeling the little weight around her neck, Ruan Qiuqiu was taken aback a little. She lowered her head and touched her neck. She felt a not-too-big round pearl.

“?” She looked surprised. Tugging at the warm pearl slightly, she noticed it was a round, red pearl that she had no idea when it had been placed around her neck. It was stringed with a red string and it was red in color.

Ruan Qiuqiu tried to remove it but failed.

It was then when she noticed that big Mr. Gray Wolf had an identical one around his neck.

Ruan Qiuqiu frowned a little. She summoned up a little of her spiritual energy and noticed that firewood had been added to the stone stove but there was no indication that any other human or demons had been inside the cave.

She seemed to have an idea who it was who put the identical red pearls on both herself and the wolf.

She wasn’t sure if she was whether it was just her imagination. Ruan Qiuqiu felt that after she was wearing the pearl, the spiritual energy around her seemed to have thickened some and she felt less irritable.

Touching the round, red pearl, Ruan Qiuqiu felt that her mood had been calmed.

She experimented with sending some of her spiritual energy into the red pearl and, quickly, the pearl around her neck started to slow. And, in addition, the one around Mr. Gray Wolf’s neck started to glow as well.

“Oh!” Ruan Qiuqiu let out a small cry and, quickly, her voice rang again inside the cave.

Ruan Qiuqiu, “… …”

Looking at the round pearl that was dangling from the red string around the wolf’s neck, Ruan Qiuqiu felt a sense of warmth through her heart.

Could this be… a gift from Mr. Gray Wolf Tianluo?

But this wasn’t there before. Did that mean the wolf had already woken up once before?

The sadness from parting with young Mr. Gray Wolf seemed to have lessened some.

Ruan Qiuqiu noticed that Yuan Jue was no longer wearing the red robe that she had made for him. Instead, he had on the wolf skin that young Mr. Gray Wolf was always wearing.

She was so worried about him earlier that she didn’t even notice that he smelled good, obviously after bathing.

Ruan Qiuqiu couldn’t quite describe how she was feeling but she could feel that the corners of her lips were rising uncontrollably.

She wanted to thank him but also felt a little awkward about it.

Qiuqiu, who had failed to noticed that Mr. Gray Wolf was more scheming now, was still looking at him as though he was still that pitiful young Mr. Gray Wolf.

Looking at the wolf who was obviously becoming eviler and touching the pearl around her neck that had been coated in his blood purposefully, Ruan Qiuqiu’s eyes curved and her cheeks turned pink.

Ruan Qiuqiu, after putting on her clothes, carefully walked out of the cave. She wanted to find out about the range of the pearls. Walking inside of the storage, she pushed a little bit of her spiritual energy into the pearl again and send her words through to the pearl that was around Yuan Jue’s neck. She thanked him with her cheeks blushing, “Thank you, Husband… …

“I like this gift a lot.”

A certain wolf opened up his eyes that was only able to detect faint light and had blurred vision, his lips curved upward. He told himself that he wasn’t all that happy but his large tail waved behind his back honestly.
