Chapter 41 - 41: I'll Be The Female Lead

Zhuang Heng said in an unusually ruthless tone, "That's your business."

"Is that Zhuang Heng?"

Yan Jinyi looked at Tan Sangsang.

"Yes, that's Zhuang Heng."

She had heard of Zhuang Heng. At the very least, the original owner was very familiar with that name.

He was the 'Best Actor' in the nation and had an incredibly handsome face. His hobby was flirting with his fans and he was very popular.

That wasn't all. He was notorious for being involved in scandals all the time and just like Huo Zihang, he was on the list of 'Shenyang's Most Popular Jerks'.

'This jerk just makes a living off his good looks. How can he have any acting chops?'

In the room, Zhuang Heng refused to budge no matter how Tao Wei pleaded. Hence, Tao Wei decided to go all out and threatened, "If you don't agree, I'll commit suicide. By then, the news will all be about me, a director, taking my own life because Best Actor Zhuang Heng refused to take on the role I offered him. It would definitely affect your future no matter what."

Zhuang Heng gritted his teeth and stared at Tao Wei. He had never seen such a thick-skinned and brazen man in his life!

"You want me to star in the film when you haven't even found the lead actress. What are you trying to do? I can make countless people become devoted to me with my face alone. Will they stop being my fan just because of your suicide?"

At this point, Zhuang Heng sneered, "Director Tao, if I were you, I would have switched careers a long time ago. Did you say that you had found an investor? With that lousy reputation of yours, why would anyone invest in your film?"

Tao Wei's face was a mixture of paleness and redness. Indeed, he did not even have an investor. How could he have the cheek to approach Zhuang Heng?

However, he was unwilling to give up just like that.

Having lived for more than 40 years, he had put in all his lifelong efforts into his career. How could he be willing to give up!?

Tao Wei let go of Zhuang Heng's thigh, but he fell onto the ground in defeat.

Zhuang Heng patted the hem of his trousers and said, "You don't even have any money and you're talking to me about the script and the box office? Without me having to say anything, my fangirls will drown you in their comments. There isn't a female lead at all..."

Yan Jinyi craned his neck and threw her bag over her shoulder before strutting over. "Who said there is no female lead? I am the female lead of this production!"

Upon hearing her arrogant voice, Zhuang Heng and Tao Wei were both stunned. They looked over at her unanimously.

In the dim basement parking lot, she was strutting confidently and arrogantly in her high heels.

Her features were extremely delicate, as if they had been painted with a brush and ink.

Donning an elegant black dress, she was giving off a roguish vibe.

Tao Wei's eyes immediately glistened.

'She's the one!'

'She's the female lead that I'm looking for!'

Zhuang Heng initially wanted to curse at her, but when he saw that it was a beauty who walked over, he immediately put on a devilish grin. "Hey beauty, you want to be the female lead? Can you act? I like beautiful women but not burdensome ones who will drag everyone else down!"

Yan Jinyi ignored Zhuang Heng and looked at Tao Wei from above. "I'll be the female lead and help you with the investor funds, but you must guarantee that the film will not flop. How does that sound?"

Tao Wei felt that the beautiful woman in front of him was like an angel who had descended from the sky.

"Yan Jinyi."
