Chapter 37 - 37: Miss Huo Has Returned

"Mr. Huo, welcome."

A foreign man with blond hair and blue eyes greeted him in fluent Chinese and extended his hand with great enthusiasm.

Huo Xishen shook it lightly, and his smile was a bit aloof. "Hello, Mr. Stephen."

At this moment, his assistant suddenly came over with the cell phone. "Mr. Huo, you have a call from Third Young Master."

'Huo Zihang again?'

Huo Xishen grabbed the cell phone.

"Second Brother, your wife is being a wastrel. She wants to invest your money in the production of a movie! What does that simple-minded Yan Jinyi, who has brawn but no brains, know about investing? Second Brother, hurry up and freeze her card!"

Before Huo Xishen even spoke, Huo Zihang started speaking.

"Are you very free?"

It was a young woman who was dressed fashionably.

She was wearing a black spaghetti-strapped top and denim shorts with a checkered shirt tied loosely around her waist.

Her long hair was dyed an eye-catching maroon color and it was draped messily on her shoulders.

Sensing Yan Jinyi's presence, the young girl simply pushed her sunglasses up her nose bridge and made her way upstairs with her luggage, not bothering to greet Yan Jinyi at all.

'Huo Qingyuan?'

'Very arrogant indeed.'

Seeing that Huo Qingyuan was about to go upstairs, Yan Jinyi suddenly said in a low voice, "Hold it right there."

After removing her sunglasses, Huo Qingyuan looked at Yan Jinyi who was staring at her with a straight face. She said with a derisive smile, "I was wondering who it was. You sound really haughty, huh?"

"Are you Huo Qingyuan?"

Yan Jinyi asked after clearing the dirt in her fingernails.

"Why are you being so strange and sarcastic today?" Huo Qingyuan turned around with a frown and questioned in displeasure, not expecting Yan Jinyi to have such an attitude.

"The Huo Family is a wealthy and famous family after all. You should be a qualified socialite too, but why do you seem like an uncultured, wild brat?"

"Yan Jinyi, what do you mean? Did you beat around the bush to call me a wild brat?"

Yan Jinyi blinked and asked with an apprehensive expression, "Are you not one? Are you really the Huo family's daughter? How come you don't know how to greet me, your second sister-in-law?"

'Greet?'

Huo Qingyuan sneered, "Are you worthy of my greeting? If it wasn't for the fact that my grandfather was muddled up and made an agreement with you, do you think a woman of your status would be worthy of marrying into the Huo Family?"

Yan Jinyi suddenly sprung up and walked over with folded arms.

Huo Qingyuan somehow felt a cold chill down her spine when she saw the mysterious smile on Yan Jinyi's face.

"Are you going to beat me up?"

Sensing that she had been frightened by Yan Jinyi, Huo Qingyuan felt a little frustrated. She let go of her suitcase and placed both hands on her waist as she made eye contact with Yan Jinyi.

Yan Jinyi suddenly burst into laughter but her smile faded another second later. With an austere gaze, she kicked the suitcase and made it roll down the staircase.
