“Why are you here?” Lu Xinyi narrowed her eyes to her husband before turning her attention to Xiao Lan who brought a woman with her. Shen Yi had forced her out the bed early in the morning.

“Shen Yi called me to help you to become a proper lady.” Xiao Lan replied. “Miss Qiao is here with me to teach you the etiquettes and manners.”

“What?”

“Xinyi, you have five days to learn about it. Can you do this for my sake?” Shen Yi asked, his hand clasped on hers as they sat on the couch on their living area.

They had discussed that she needed to prepare herself before she meets Grammie but never did she thought that the idea of giving her a crash course to become a proper lady was included in Shen Yi’s plans.

Miss Qiao who was listening to their conversation stepped in. She pushed the bridge of her eyeglasses and regarded Lu Xinyi.

“Miss Lu, I know you are worried and nervous about meeting Madam Shen but this course will not only help you give a good impression to the Shen matriarch but your attitude will also affect Master Yi’s image. We aren’t trying to change you but a proper lady can be dressed in rags and still retain her poise and dignity, ” she explained.

Miss Qiao took a quick good look on Lu Xinyi’s form and appreciated that she didn’t need to work too much to improve this woman’s posture and decorum.

“If you put it that way…” Lu Xinyi sighed.

“It will be okay, Xinyi.” Xiao Lan assured her. “Besides, I’m here to help you too. You can be anything you want in your own home but do know other people outside will judge you based on your look, attitude, and intelligence.”

“Urgh… such a pain.” Lu Xinyi mumbled to herself.

“If that’s all I’ll go to work now.” Shen Yi stood up and kissed his wife’s head before taking his keys. “Xue! You better drag your arse here now, we’re leaving.”

Xue emerged from the kitchen with a meatbun stuffed on his mouth and a food container filled with the meat buns.

“Hey, Xue! Don’t be such a glutton! Leave something for us to eat!” Xiao Lan yelled and tried to take the container from Xue’s hand.

Xue tried to stave off Xiao Lan by covering the container with both arms. He tried to say something but no one could understand him.

“There’s still another batch left on the fridge Xiao Lan, let him take it.” Lu Xinyi followed her husband and trotted up to him, straightened out the wrinkles and lint on his suit jacket. Then she beamed up to him, “Perfect! There you go. Don’t forget to miss me, okay?” she winked.

Shen Yi grabbed her by the elbow and leaned forward, whispering something to her ear which turned her cheeks bright red.

Shen Xue who was watching the scene with Xiao Lan on his side choked at the meatbun he was eating. He gave several beating on his chest to help himself steady his breath. Seeing his brother and Big Sis flirting with each other was too much for him.

Xiao Lan came forward and patted his back.

“Did you have enough food for today?” She laughed at his pale face.

If he thought hearing the two having sex on the master’s bedroom was already mentally scarring, witnessing the couple being lovey-dovey almost made him puke with blood.

Damn his poor and lonely life. Was this his brother’s payback to him?

After the two brothers left for work, Lu Xinyi went back to the living room with her two dogs trailing behind her.

“So what should we do first?” she asked curiously. Five days before she could meet Grammie. Can Xiao Lan and Miss Qiao do a miracle to turn her to a proper lady in such a short time?

Miss Qiao motioned Lu Xinyi to stand in the middle of the living area while she took measurements of Xinyi’s body. Shen Yi had specifically requested to change his wife’s wardrobe with custom-tailored just for her.

“Before we start, Miss Lu should understand that being a woman doesn’t necessarily make you a lady. A lady has an understanding of manners, posture, and decorum. Also, be the woman a man needs, not the woman that needs a man.”

Her last words made Lu Xinyi think that she couldn’t depend on her husband for everything.

“Now that Miss Qiao have your measurement, let’s go to the salon. I already booked an appointment for your full body wax.” Xiao Lan took her designer bag to check her phone.

Terror overtook at Lu Xinyi’s face as the color faded on it.
