While she understood that Lu Xinyi treated them well, it didn’t change the fact that they should be the ones to protect her. Grandfather said that there was trouble at the Western Plains weeks ago which involves both Yi Gege and Li Yuren.” Tang Liang covered his sister’s head with his own arm, making sure not to attract the thugs’ attention. Before anything else, he should prioritize his sister’s and his safety. It was better to keep safe than to cause more troubles to their Xin Jie.

Tang Lilou gasped. So that was why! Feng Zexian would lure out their Yi Gege by taking Xin Jie. With her brother dead and her father injured, her hatred against Shen Yi rose to another level. She should have disposed of Lu Xinyi earlier when she had the chance. Now, her father had once again run away to save his life from Shen Yi.
