Lu Xinyi was starting to regret her decision to help Yuan Jin with this commercial ad. She’d been doing these practices for a week, and she felt like her back was too straight for her liking. This was worse than Miss Qiao’s crash course on being a fine lady.

How could women wear these ridiculous corsets during old times to make their waists look smaller? Goddamnit, she would rather be fat and have a pudgy stomach if that meant she could breathe properly and walk like a normal person.

“Alright, tilt your head to the other side. Yes! That’s it, Xinxin!” Yuan Jin instructed her to stay put in her pose. Several shots were taken.

Meanwhile, she was contemplating if she should ditch Yuan Jin to grab some burgers for her and her husband.

“Xinxin! Don’t make face! You look like someone who’ll get a root canal in a dentist’s office.” Yuan Jin stopped and reviewed the photos he’d taken.

“But I’m hungry and tired. Can we get a break please?”

“Fine, fine. Let’s take a break. I’ll ask someone to prepare our lunch,” he replied, but Lu Xinyi knew it would take some time.

Yuan Jin sighed in exasperation. Lu Xinyi was the perfect model for this campaign, but he knew he was missing something, and he couldn’t point out what it was. The theme was supposed to connect the product to the audience.

Lu Xinyi slumped herself beside Shen Yi who was supervising the photoshoot. He was quite pleased that Yuan Jin gave him a front seat to watch his wife. His attentive watching and glares were enough for other men not to give Lu Xinyi indecent looks.

“This is all your fault,” Lu Xinyi huffed, feeling hungry already.

Shen Yi tilted his head curiously at her direction. “I believe I wasn’t the one who said yes to Yuan Jin.”

Lu Xinyi eyed him suspiciously. He’d been siding with Yuan Jin since they started this shoot. She had a bad feeling that these two had come up with a mutual agreement about her.

“What did you do this time?” She narrowed her eyes.

“What? I didn’t do anything.” Shen Yi murmured. Of course, he wouldn’t tell her that Yuan Jin had given him the ‘exclusive photos’ of her. Ah, the twenty-year-old Lu Xinyi was so hot in her bikinis. Too bad he didn’t get a chance to meet her sooner.

But that’s okay, those photos and other cute pictures of her in different costumes and girly dresses were kept in a safe vault in his study. He even used one of those photos as a screensaver on his phone. He had to make sure, though, that his wife wouldn’t see it, or all hell would break loose.

“I’m hungry. What do you want?” Lu Xinyi pulled out her phone to call for food delivery. It was almost lunchtime, and she couldn’t see anyone preparing their meal. She hoped that Shen Xue was feeding her babies back home, or else she would kill him through starvation once they get home.

“You.” Shen Yi’s eyes lidded, making Lu Xinyi catch her breath. “But I don’t think I can get what I want.”

“Now or later?” Lu Xinyi shot him a smug look, surprising her husband. Shen Yi’s lips curled into a smile. He leaned forward and whispered to her ear, earning a blush from his naughty wife.

He straightened up on his seat and lazily wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her head to lean against his chest.

“If I could rearrange the alphabet, I’d put ‘U’ and ‘I’ together.” He grinned.

“Maybe the alphabet should stay as it is, darling. With ‘N’ next to ‘O,’ ” she retorted.

“You’re learning well, wife.”

“Of course, dear. If I can’t stop you with your corny pick-up lines, might as well beat you in it.” Lu Xinyi laughed and opened the food app so she could order their lunch.

“You’re so beautiful you made me forget my pick-up line.”

Yuan Jin eagerly looked at the photos he’d taken. He didn’t mean to take photos, but something took his attention when Shen Yi started to flirt with Lu Xinyi. He got excited.

Shen Yi’s cold and aloof expression instantly changed as his wife sat beside him and complained about their photo shoot. His eyes were filled with humor and desire, and the hint of seduction crossed his lips as he teased his wife. His stance was so natural, so open that he wanted Lu Xinyi’s attention only on him and for him.

Lu Xinyi responded to his flirting with a flash of mischief in her brown eyes, willingly accepting her husband’s challenge.

Now, this was something Yuan Jin had been looking for!
