When they came back home, Shen Yi saw a familiar car parked in their driveway. Wasn’t it the same car that brought Lu Xinyi home when she went out with Yuan Jin and Lu Xiulan?

“Oh? Yuan Jin is here! Quick, Shen Yi! I’ll introduce him to you!” Lu Xinyi pulled on his hand and excitedly went to Yuan Jin’s car.

The window of at the driver’s seat rolled down, and Yuan Jin greeted them with a smile. He stepped out from his car and gave Lu Xinyi a kiss on her cheek. Shen Yi frowned. He didn’t like sharing his wife’s attention to another man.

‘The gods are against me today. What did I do wrong this time?’ he sighed inwardly.

“Hello, my dear Xinxin. Are you free today?” Yuan Jin asked. His eyes then shifted to the handsome man behind Lu Xinyi. He got an idea that this was the famous ‘Shen Yi’ but never thought he was this handsome and good-looking.

“Well, well, well. Is this a welcome gift for me, Xinxin? Aww, you’re such a sweetheart. You really know my type.” Yuan Jin purred and tried to touch Shen Yi, only for him to hide behind her wife’s back and shudder when a cold shiver ran down his spine. Shen Yi shivered in fear. He didn’t know how to deal with gays.

“I’m not gay. Xinyi, please tell him I’m your husband!” Was it possible for Little Yi to invert himself into his body?

“Aww, you don’t have to be shy, darling. Come here, I promise I don’t bite.” Yuan Jin laughed, clearly amused that Lu Xinyi’s husband was easy to be teased.

“No! Please! I’m not gay. I’m Xinyi’s husband!” Shen Yi glared at his wife who was trying not to laugh hard at his predicament. Lu Xinyi wiped away the tears from her eyes that she got from laughing at her husband.

“Yuan Jin. You can stop,” she finally said, saving Shen Yi from further teasing from her best friend, “This is my husband, Shen Yi.” She smiled wickedly at her husband as she held his arm.

“Oh? And here I thought you found a man for me to hook up.” Yuan Jin sent a wink at Shen Yi’s direction.

Lu Xinyi hooked an arm to her husband’s and opened their front door to let the dogs come running inside their house.

“Unfortunately, I’m not interested,” Shen Yi retorted.

“Relax, President Shen. I’m just joking; besides, this is the first time in forever I saw my Xinxin happy with her man.”

“What brings you here?” Lu Xinyi asked Yuan Jin. She let him step inside first before Shen Yi closed the door behind them.

“I need some help. I thought you will be a good candidate for this commercial ad.” Yuan Jin looked around their house, noticing the special touches that Lu Xinyi added to make it homey and comfortable. He then saw several stacks of toys and dolls in the corner.

“You’re living with kids?” Yuan Jin then followed the couple to the kitchen.

“Yes. We are still on the process of adopting Shen Yi’s nephew and niece, but we’re acting as their legal guardians at the moment,” Lu Xinyi replied.

She pulled out a homemade electrolyte drink she made for her husband. Making their own electrolyte drink saved them money (not that they were short on it), and she was assured that there were no unnecessary additives or preservatives in his drink.

Shen Yi said his thanks and chugged on the drink while waiting for Yuan Jin to explain this commercial ad he was talking about earlier.

“So what about this favor you’re asking again? I thought I already said I’m done with it and will never substitute for your models?” Lu Xinyi crossed her arms and stared at her best friend.

When she was still working at Amusing Plate Patisserie, Yuan Jin usually gave her small jobs on his photo studio to help her meet her daily needs. Yuan Jin had offered her a full-time job, but she declined since her passion was in cooking and baking. She didn’t mind to pose for his shoots though, as long as her face wouldn’t be revealed in public.

Heck, she didn’t need another round of insults from the Sun family if they found out she’s modeling for some cheap products.

“But I really need you this time, Xinxin! Please? Just this once? I’ll be using it as my entry for a competition,” Yuan Jin pleaded, and then suddenly, his eyes widened when he remembered something.

“Xinyi! Are you aware that Sun Feiyan just came back from abroad? She’s the model for the other magazine. I’m sure she will be pissed if she sees your face on our next issue.”
