Chapter 88 - Some quiet.

You Liangxing never had such an embarrassing moment in his life. He yacked Kang Shengzhe to his feet – forcibly too – to remove any possibility of Kang Shengzhe pulling some trick. Thus, with one person pulling and the other being dragged along to walk a distance away, gloom was written in bolded letters all over their backs.

Liang Chulin’s eyes almost rolled to the whites out of a fit of a anger. Placing his hands on his hips, he said irately, “Your legs are short! Your entire family’s legs are short! You really have no conscience! I was waiting here for you, alright?”

“Waiting for me?”

Liang Chulin said, “Yeah, look at the time, even if we go now, we’ll definitely be late. I couldn’t possibly let you be the only one ending up late when we just shared a meal together.”

Kang Shengzhe said, “Who said I would be late?”

Liang Chulin stilled. “Ah?”

Kang Shengzhe gave him a glance and his long legs stepped forth, making a hundred metre sprint into the compound of the College of Liberal Arts. Liang Chulin first froze, and when he reacted, he started shouting at him as he yelled: “Kang Shengzhe! You big bastard! QAQ!”

Thankfully, Kang Shengzhe was just kidding. After he ran a hundred metres, he waited for Liang Chulin to reach him and the boy was panting when he caught up. He was about to kick Kang Shengzhe’s leg when Kang Shengzhe moved away in a flash, and he was way out of range in an instant.

Liang Chulin was stunned. “What’s with your reaction, isn’t it too fast?” Kang Shengzhe was too lazy to reply and Liang Chulin continued speaking, feeling strange, “You’ve never dodged when Brother Liang Liang kicked you.”

Kang Shengzhe eyed him. “That’s because I want to be kicked by him.”

Liang Chulin shivered, “You, why do you want to be kicked by Brother Liang Liang?”

Kang Shengzhe: “It’s comfortable~”

Feeling like his spirit had taken a massive blow, Liang Chulin could not respond in that moment. When he had been waiting for Kang Shengzhe, he initially wondered why Kang Shengzhe had chosen to turn back, and Liang Chulin actually wanted to tease him for the hurried appearance he had witnessed when the taller man eventually returned. He found the most important point, but once he asked that question, Liang Chulin felt some regret. What kind of question was this, especially when it was a conversation between two men? He was going to be laughed to death. Liang Chulin mentally prepared himself for the merry laughter that would come his way, but when those words landed, Kang Shengzhe’s lips hooked up to form a smile instead. Lazily, he replied, “That’s right.”

Liang Chulin went silent. In fact, not only did he go silent, his entire mind was completely blank. He pondered about it before he asked: “What kind of like are you referring to?”

Kang Shengzhe said: “The kind of like that comes from the body to the soul!”

Liang Chulin’s entire body ached as he replied out of conditioned reflex, “Yi!”

In an instant, countless of views regarding same sex relationships he had seen on the internet appeared in his head. He wanted to say many things, ranging from ‘don’t joke around, you’re both men’ to ‘how could Brother Liang Liang possibly like you when he is that outstanding’. With the mass amount of options in his mind, he could only squeeze out the first words that had came to him in the middle of the chaos.

Liang Chulin said, “You have good vision.”

Kang Shengzhe stared at him for a few seconds before he burst out into laughter.

Liang Chulin could scarcely compose himself after the revelation in spite of the processing he was doing because his heart received no small amount of shock. People might have become more open-minded in their present-day society, but the feelings between two men would still garner a lot of strange looks. And for Kang Shengzhe to confide in him meant that he trusted him not to tell anyone else.

Liang Chulin did not expect that he would be so certain of his character when they had just met each other. Feeling touched in the moment, he could not help but say, “Why did you dare to tell me this?”

Kang Shengzhe revealed a slight smile, “Naturally, it’s because I’m scared and I don’t dare to tell Liang Liang directly.”
