Chapter 57 - Trash Should Be Treated Like Trash

Ye Zhouyan and Lin Min walked down the stairs to the lounge. There, they saw a young woman sitting in a dignified manner over the couch. Her eyes were a bit hazy as if she was lost in some memories of the past.

Witnessing Chen Yi's youthful appearance full of vigor, Ye Zhouyan was nowhere satisfied. This was not what she had come to see. She had come to see Chen Yi's pathetic state, decrepit, and crying. Not this.

Lin Min observed Madam Chen's face twisting in displeasure and she immediately came forward to affront Chen Yi. "Madam Chen is your elder. Shouldn't you be getting up and taking the initiative to greet her following proper etiquette? Or are you expecting her to take the initiative to talk to you? Where is your respect for elders?" She said in a self-righteous tone.

Ever since being humiliated in the restaurant, she had been looking for an opportunity to disparage Chen Yi.

However, listening to Lin Min's words, Chen Yi merely smiled. "Madam Chen? As far as I know, this title shall belong to my mother and after her... my brother's wife as the son of the eldest son in Chen family."

What she said was right. That was how the earlier generations had followed the tradition in the Chen family. To claim the title of Madam Chen because of the untimely death of Chen Yi's mother, it was truly shameless for Ye Zhouyan!

"You- Does that matter? You should still show respect to your Aunt considering she is your senior! Is this the etiquette your parents taught you?" Lin Min was upfront in defending Ye Zhouyan. After all, thanks to her, Lin Min would have a chance to work with Fu entertainment.

"Chen Yi, why are you still not getting up. The way you are sitting here is as if this place belongs to you. Do you have any sense of shame left in you?" Lin Min continued to criticize.

Chen Yi passed a casual smile to Lin Min. She was not a bit bothered by her. That was because... dogs were simply not worth her time. "Then... May I be bold enough to ask whether Min Jie shows such respect to her sugar daddy considering he is also your elder minding his age?"

Lin Min was shocked.

"Chen Yi, stop spewing nonsense!" Other than that, she didn't know what to say. 

This Chen Yi was totally uncontrollable, had no limits, and would say whatever come to her mind. She was truly shameless!

And she said something so shameful in front of Madam Chen?

Lin Min's face flushed in embarrassment. Her eyes blazed in anger. 

"Do you think you are any better? Sleeping around with whoever shows the slightest interest in you? Do you think I don't know how you managed to book a VIP table in that high-end restaurant?"

Chen Yi chuckled and glanced at her Aunt.

Ye Zhouyan was not particularly happy after Chen Yi criticized her title as Madam Chen. During the years Chen Yi's mother was alive, it was Ye Zhouyan's one of greatest grief to address her as Madam Chen. Ye Zhouyan longed for that title.

Actually, after Chen Yi's mother's death, people didn't use to call her Madam Chen at first. It was after Ye Zhouyan's subtle insistence that the people have finally opted for this way of addressing.

Thus Chen Yi's open criticism of the title coupled with Chen Yi's vigorous demeanor was making Ye Zhouyan very unsatisfied.

"Chen Yi, if you are here for our charity then the way you are behaving doesn't correspond with the way a beggar should!" Ye Zhouyan said straightforwardly. 

Chen Yi laughed. "My dear Aunt..." She said, her deep brown orbs glinted with a mischievous light. Her expressions were full of confidence, provocating in Ye Zhouyan's eyes. "...couldn't I just have come for a meetup? Why do you assume I am here for charity? After all, you are my Aunt and following proper etiquettes, I should be offering you visits." Her smile was unfaltering.

Her cherry red lips were a fine contrast to her pale, smooth flawless skin. Her each and every action was refined, attracting people's appreciation. However, to those, who were faced with her ruthlessness and vengeance, each and every action was like blazing hellfire; beautiful yet painful.

Ye Zhouyan was somewhat shocked.

In her memory, Chen Yi used to be a very submissive girl; someone who would duck her head down facing the slightest frown from the other party; someone who would avoid confrontations at all costs. She was simply a coward.

But this girl in front of her didn't seem like a coward at all.

What happened to the Chen Yi she knew? Who was this girl before her?

"Chen Yi! After what you did, do you think we would welcome you in our home with open arms?" Ye Zhouyan glared at the girl nonchalantly sitting over the couch. "I am well aware of your financial state. You had lost your job. But now, you would have run dry of your savings. Why else would you have the face to show up at my home if not that you had no other choice. You are here for begging." Ye Zhouyan laughed. "However, I am a merciful person. If you kneel down and beg, I might consider helping you out of your situation."

In the end, Ye Zhouyan wanted to see Chen Yi lower herself and beg her. 

After Chen Yi's vigorous personality, Ye Zhouyan was even more inclined to see that Chen Yi bend herself. Ye Zhouyan just couldn't tolerate that pest sitting over the couch in her home in such a dignified manner.

What was she so proud of? 

What did she even have?

The presence of a pest like her in her home was making the air dirty and foul.

She was just trash and trash should not be sitting over a couch with a proud face. Trash should be kicked on the floor and stomped over!
