Chapter 45 - Punishment

When Chen Yi woke up in the morning, she found herself reinvigorated with the beauty sleep. Cheerful, she looked around and found Li Luxian with dark circles under his eyes.

"Why are you not asleep? And why are you sitting at the bed's corner like that."

Li Luxian didn't say anything, just stared at her with a funny face.

Why did he look like he had been bullied?

"I've asked my secretary to make an appointment with the doctor."

"For what?"

"For your sleeping problems."

"I don't have sleeping problems."

Li Luxian didn't say anything, just got up and entered the bathroom, leaving Chen Yi quite confused.

Her hubby was surely acting weirdly. Whatever. She still had a lot to do. She quickly jumped out of the bed and dressed. When she turned back, she gasped.

"Would you stop staring? Otherwise, I have to conclude that there is something naughty running through your mind."

"You wish," Chen Feng tried her best to act normally. Who would expect that her hubby would walk out half-naked! She would have to be extra careful from now on. But he had no plans on letting her off, not after what she did last night.

"What the..." Chen Yi felt him hugging her from her back.

"I must punish you for what you did last night" Li Luxian nibbled at her earlobe.

Chen Yi's heart fluttered. His bare chest pressed against her back. He was still wet from the shower. She shivered. The coldness seeped through his body into hers. Drops of water fell down from his wet hair, wetting all of her shirt. She could smell the sweet fragrance of shampoo and soap from this proximity.

"What did I do?" She innocently titled her head and looked at him.

"You kicked the heir of Li family out of the bed."

Chen Yi: "..." She broke into loud cackles.

"You wouldn't be laughing when I start your punishment"

Chen Yi gently tried to push him.

"Let go. You are wetting my shirt..." When he didn't budge, Chen Yi argued. "You are the one who insisted to make me sleep in your bed. This is wrong. I warned you. I can't be blamed. Besides, your parents must be waiting. I'll have to change it again. Now let go."

"They can wait a little longer"

"Li Luxian!"

"You can't meet my parents like that. You need a shower first." He grinned cheekily. "How about... I give you one?"

"You wouldn't dare!"

"I would dare and... that's your punishment, my wife." He effortlessly picked her up in bridal style like she weighted nothing. "I don't understand where did all those things go that I fed you over the last week? The way you ate, you must weight at least double to what you do right now"

"Are you trying to imply I eat too much?" Chen Yi glared at him, trying to intimidate him. Her expressions pulled the strings of his heart. He wanted to kiss her right then and there. He loved to make his wife angry. She looked more alluring like that. No, she looked alluring all the time!

How could she know her glare would only turn him on than warning him?

He kicked open the bathroom door and walked in easily.

"Let me down."

"Sure" He smiled and let go of her. She fell down in a bathtub of steaming water with a splash. It was full of rose petals. She gasped and wiped away her face. The water was warm and soothing. It was also scented.

When did he prepare all that? It had been his plan all along?

"Put your head down. I'll put shampoo your on your hair."

"And if I don't?" Chen Yi was still angry for being manhandled.

Li Luxian placed his hands on the rim of the bathtub and stared deeply into her eyes. "Then I'll tie you right now, strip you naked and wash your whole body with my own hands without sparing an inch."

Chen Yi was shocked.

"What do you choose, wife? Just shampoo or whole body wash?"
