Chapter 148 - News Travel Fast.

From Qin Chanpu to Chen Ying. From Chen Ying to Shen Yue, it didn't take long for news to travel. At this, Shen Yue found herself in a difficult spot sooner than she anticipated.

"Are you nuts?! What's the reason behind signing the contract anyway. If you couldn't sign the contract, just say it. Why did you alter it to such an extent!"

"This..." Shen Yue could only drop her head and endure Chen Ying's temper. "I could not have guessed that she would have means. Besides, Ms. Chen emphasized at that time that I must get her signed. That girl won't agree otherwise."

"Are you blaming me now?" Chen Ying's voice grew hoarse.

Shen Yue ducked her head down. "I don't dare."

Dumbfounded, she placed a hand against her cheek and stared at Chen Ying, eyes wide in disbelief.

Never in her entire life had she been so disrespected. 

"What thick skin you have." Chen Ying, still glaring at Shen Yue, nursed her hand, messaging her fingers to chase away the tingles. In anger, she had put all of her force in her hand. As a result, she hurt herself. Never mind how much it impacted Shen Yue, Chen Ying was remorseful for the fact the slap also hurt her.

"Chen Ying, don't ruin your temper because of her." Qin Chanpu was also present in the room. He had done his utmost to put all the blame on Shen Yue's shoulders and wipe his hands clean. Chen Ying was so angry at Shen Yue at his enticing.

He had a feeling of schadenfreude watching Shen Yue in her pathetic state.

He needed this. Especially after Chen Yi scared the shit out of him, his mood had been down.

Now watching his rival being scolded like this, his mood improved somewhat.

"Then what should we do now? She is as good as slipped out of our hands. She can terminate the contract at any moment with little to no consequences."

"She is still in the company. Besides, it's just a small movie. We don't know why the production team decided to take her in all of sudden. But we have influence, the movie is still in its preliminary stages. You can easily hamper sponsorships and make the production as good as useless."

Hearing this, Chen Ying calmed down. "You are right. No matter what tricks she played to get them to select her, the movie is still not worth mentioning." Coming back to her senses, Chen Ying's vengeful side was invoked. She fixated her glare onto Shen Yue. "And don't think you can leave for what you did. How about giving a few to Qin Chuping?"

"What?" Holding her swollen face, Shen Yue stared at Chen Ying in horror. She knew where this was going. And she did not like it/.

Chen Ying smiled. "I'll have Fu Jianguo reassign Xuan Hai and Fan Jingyi to Qin Chanpu."

Shen Yue's heart dropped. Needless to say, Shen Yue had spent more than 10 years on each of those girls, they were now A-listed, models. Taking them away was ain to taking ninety percent of her income. 

"What's with that look. You should have thought before signing that contract under your name. Be grateful that Chen Ying has decided to not mention this to CEO Fu. If it is mentioned, your job is as good as gone." Qin Chanpu's laughter was the last straw that sent Shen Yue into despair.

After leaving Chen Yi came across Zhao Hua and her group of girls. Zhao Hua threw her a dirty look. All the past arrogance seemed to have been eradicated. But her glare remained and she approached Chen Yi, confidant, because of the group of girls to hold her back.

"You should know that the company needs to agree before an artiste is sent off to perform?"

"So?" Chen Yi raised an eyebrow.

Zhao Hua laughed. "Don't think they'll ever agree to send you. I admit I failed to get the position. But don't be too cocky. You aren't getting it either."

Evidently, the news of the contract hadn't reached Zhao Hua yet. And Chen Yi was certain it wouldn't ever either. Qin Chanpu and Chen Ying would keep this a secret at all costs. Lest the foreign agencies learned and approached Chen Yi directly. 

Chen Yi shrugged her off before walking off. "We'll see."

"You...!" Zhao Hua wasn't happy with the response she received. Deciding to go meet Qin Chanpu again, she abruptly turned around hitting someone in her anger and knocking off the drink in her hands.

"What the actual fuck?! Do you know how much this dress cost?!" Eyes ablaze in anger, Zhao Hua looked up.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'll wash it for you." The meek girl put down her head in deep apology.

"Wash it? Would it still remain the same?" Zhao Hua noticed how the girl was avoiding showing her face. "Stand up, show me your face."

The girl trembled. 

"Did you not hear me?"

With tears in her eyes, she finally straightened, revealing a beautiful face, a Zhao Hua vividly recognized and hated. 

"Oh, it's you. You finally have the guts to show your face in the company again, huh?" Zhao Hua shoved her, pushing her down to the floor. It was Su Xiuying. She landed on the cold, harsh floor with a pitiful 'ah'.

"Last time wasn't enough for you? What are you trying to do littering outside Brother Qin's office, huh?" Zhao Hua surrounded her.

"I wasn't—I just came because my Manager called me this morning. Please let me be." 

"Called you? To sweep the floor? I heard Manager Shen's place is lacking in servants. Oh, poor girl what was the need to go through the trouble? You should have looked for this JieJie first. I would have given a call to the HR department. After all, you were my junior once."

The group of girls behind Zhao Hua laughed. 

Su Xiuying was already crying, she was on the verge of a breakdown. The horizons seemed to have dimmed.
