Chapter 14 - By Giving My Wife A Lot Of Kisses

"It can be anyone but her. You guys stop getting your imagination running wild!" Liu Chao quickly said. Why would someone like Li Luxian marry a status-less, vulgar wench like Chen Yi? Liu Chao wouldn't believe it.

"Of course it is her. Why else the timing would be so perfect?"

"No, it was the girl with whom Mr. Li had a scandal yesterday."

"Could it not be our Chen Yi who was in the scandal?"

"Yes, it's possible. I saw the same dress with Chen Yi as that girl in the scandal had on her."

"I think that's right. Chen Yi came home late last night. She had probably gone to a club. So the girl in the scandal must be her."

Chen Yi sighed in relief as she pushed the door close behind her.

As those aunties were debating over the identity of the future wife of Li Luxian, she had quietly slipped away. Those aunties were dangerous. It wouldn't be a surprise if they had tied and electrocuted her to make her spill the truth.

Meanwhile, she received a text from a private number.

"Tomorrow I'll be picking you up for a date at 8 pm. Be ready wife. And our marriage is postponed for a week."

Chen Yi's lips curled up. She quickly texted back.

"You know Mr. Li? We are not married yet and I'm not your wife."

A reply arrived quickly.

"Why are you planning to back out now?"

After a second, another message came.

"You have already signed the contract. So don't think about backing off now."

And Chen Yi knew that she was already in the clutches of that man. She had never thought about backing off. If heavens were throwing a golden opportunity at her, she would not be ungrateful to reject it. Chen Yi could already think about the ugly faces of all those of her family, especially Chen Ying, upon hearing the news that she was marrying Li Luxian.

Her lips curved up into a smile as she imagined them going purple with shock once they learned that the daughter they abandoned was going to become the legal wife of the Li Luxian.

Thinking about the Fu Jianguo reaction to this news, she could only feel pity in her heart. Sure his pride would suffer a nice blow.

"Don't worry. I've made my mind and I won't go back on my word."

Li Luxian replied with a smiley and a winking, kissing emoji.

Chen Yi didn't know why but her heart fluttered as she looked at that emoji. She smiled and shook her head.

She couldn't believe that the personality of someone like Li Luxian could be like this. Anyone would expect him to be a serious, cold-hearted man whose mere presence could chill one to the marrow. But Chen Yi perceived him as a playful, flirty person.

"By the way this date? Is it to assuage your father's suspicion?"

"My wife is wise."

"Stop calling me wife."

"Sure wife."

"..."

"I'll take you out discreetly. We can't let the whole world know of us for now because there will be a lot of people wanting to hurt you. My father men would be following us for sure."

"Are you sure your father will not do anything against us?"

"He might object in the beginning but once we make him realize that we are deeply in love with each other, he'll support us."

"And how will we make him realize that we are deeply in love?"

"By putting a good act"

"By a good act, Mr. Li means...?"

"By acting intimately while his men followed us and of course giving my wife a lot of kisses."

That text was followed by a lot of red hearts and a kissing emoji. Chen Yi's face burned. She threw away her phone as if it was a hot iron rod.

She didn't know what to think anymore.

The idea of kissing that handsome person made her heart jolt. Weren't two kisses already enough? Did he think it was easy to handle a kiss from him?

She was sure that tomorrow he was going to torture her a lot.

She was going to die of embarrassment.
