Chapter 109 - Shocked Zhang Yufang

'This lady doesn't even have someone by her side! Dammit, I need to go fetch the manager! If something bad happens, I will be the one offering my ass for a whooping to relieve the anger of those rich people' The poor waiter's thoughts raced rapidly; he vanished quickly.

"Stupid, waiters! Why don't they mind their own business? Do I look like some delicate princess who would faint at the first sip? " Chen Yi rolled her eyes at his melodramatic expressions.

Taking in the sip, she winced at the burning at the back of her throat.

Strong. It was strong.

Her eyes glistened.

Chen Yi didn't care about the high alcohol content and chucked down everything in a few sips.

Several minutes later...

When Li Luxian returned, he found a rather tipsy Yi'er.

His face darkened knowing immediately that he was in for a big headache.

Taking her out of the party to the 'safely' had been nightmarish.

Li Luxian was very gleeful. 

Thank dear God, he managed to have her leave without making a scene. Last thing he wanted to have those people get an excuse to criticize her. He had specially brought Chen Yi at today's event to shut all those mouths that had subtly accused her of being inadequate.

If she had ended up doing something ridiculous, giving them a reason to criticize, they won't hold at anything — all of his efforts had been for naught.

Getting into the car, he sighed in relief taking off his mask and loosening his shirt indulging in the wishful thinking that his plight was over.

However, how could he have expected that driving their way back to the condo was going to prove to be an even bigger nightmare?

Chen Yi threw what little bit of restraint she had shown because of the people at the party. The moment the door of the car closed, and the connection to the outside severed, she had gotten rid of her mask and jewelry and jumped at Li Luxian — like a starving child would at a pile of sweets.

"I left you for how long — barely fifteen minutes?" Li Luxian growled in a deeply frustrated tone amidst his attempts to restrain a wife who had legit gone berserk.

How could she have gotten drunk in such a short span of time?

Just — what kind of beverage she had taken?

That stupid waiter had fetched him in time, or else who knew what might have happened.

And more than everything, what the heck was she even trying to do?!

At the front, Zhang Yufang glanced at the rearview mirror, found his Master and Madam wrestling at the back seat, and gulped nervously. He felt weirded out. What was this madness? Which Miss of the wealthy family behaved this way?

This Miss continued to surprise him in countless ways.

"Mr. Li, how about we stop at someplace to, ah, get a soup to something for Madam?" He thoughtfully suggested. He sincerely pitied his master at this instant.

He could not bear to see him suffer all the way back to the condo.

His boss, the almighty CEO of a multinational conglomerate, and he travels back while wrestling with a drunk woman who had gone berserk?

Unheard of!

Li Luxian sighed helplessly. If the solution was that simple, would he have not already done that? "A simple 'soup' can't redo this." He said. "Just drive back."

"Alright." Zhang Yufang started the car, narrowly avoiding all the reporters. Thankfully, the windshield not seethrough or he dared not imagine what blasphemy might have transpired if the reporters had caught a gist of what was going on inside the car.

Chen Yi laughed heartily. "Stop making a big fuss. I am perfectly sober. After that tense environment at the party, I just want to loosen up." She said before squeezing Li Luxian cheeks into a big goofy smile.

Li Luxian. "..." 

And it was not only him, even Zhang Yufang ears bled hearing this. 

Likewise, a drunk person never admits he is drunk.

Li Luxian grabbed her hands and patiently put them back.

The patience his Boss was exercising with this woman made Zhang Yufang had an impulse to award him 'The Best Husband' accolade right away!

Only if he had the ability.

Knowing it would feel inappropriate, he constrained his impulses and focused on driving. 

"Stop throwing a tantrum." Li Luxian warned, still restraining her hands within his hold.

Something flipped in Chen Yi's eyes. "Why won't you let me have fun?"

Li Luxian glanced at her and gathered her current appearance. 

Her soft, supple cheeks had accumulated a flush of red; her luscious lips appeared even redder; her clear brown eyes were hazy in heavy indulgence; her previously meticulously done hair that had given her an elegant air in the party was ruined becoming a mess of those sleek strands of brown color as they hung down untamed — everything combined together to give her a pretty wild appearance.

That and the intoxicating sweet scent of the alcohol that emanated from her mixed with innate rich famine scent lingered in the air, that smooth slender neck with milky texture — so tempting — as if asking him to bend down and bite it.

Suddenly, Li Luxian felt his throat was rather too dry. He coughed lightly to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling.

 "Yi'er, explain your definition of fun." Finding her plummeting into a phase of sulking, he hurriedly said to distract her.

Last thing he wanted to have her plunge into an episode of crying.

Almost immediately, Chen Yi's face lightened up. "How about...I show you?" There was a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Li Luxian glanced down at her suspiciously. "Sure?" 

Why not?

What harm could a drunk woman cause?

The moment those words were said, Chen Yi had jumped into his lap. Before he could register what was happening, those very luscious lips fell onto his mouth, engaging in a clumsy kiss.

Li Luxian eyes widened. 

Zhang Yufang noticed that the noise in the background had suddenly gone silent. 

Curious, he did the mistake of peeking at the mirror — only to find a very graphic scene for his innocent eyes. Shocked, his jaw hung low. He failed to notice a car coming from the front.
