Chapter 177: Little Hus Found The Wishing Sculpture

Su Yang smiled but said nothing as he listened quietly to what Pool had to say.

Pool smiled so brightly that his eyes curved into two thin lines. “Every one of them wanted to try out the milk tea, so Sanque and I decided to prolong our business hours. Three hours later, we sold almost 150 cups of milk tea!”

Excited, Pool continued, “We fixed our price at 10 yuan for a small cup and 13 yuan for a large cup, but we decided to go for an opening promotion, so we set the price at 8 and 11 respectively. Even with the promotion, we earned more than 1,000 yuan tonight! On top of that, since we don’t have any cost to cover, it means that we managed to earn our rent for the next few days in a single night!”

As he spoke, three small beans popped up from his pockets. The monster beans were also excited. They chanted and cheered happily, “Bean! Bean! Bean!”

After being idle for so many days, they were happy that they finally had work to do.

Su Yang remembered that the little monster beans had almost exploded out of boredom when he offered to help out on the first day. To stop the little monster beans from exploding, Sanque had to lift its beard from time to time, throw some dirt out of the pot, mess up the plates and bowls, or whatnot.

Whenever the three little monster beans sensed work or chores available, their eyes would shine and they would quickly run over to clean the place up. After they completed the task, Sanque would repeat the process to keep them busy.

Sanque’s work in the past few days was probably to make a mess in the shop to give work to the little monster beans.

However, based on the system description, the little monster beans had Simple Intellect, so they were not stupid. They knew Sanque was doing that on purpose to give them work, thus even though they had work to do, they did not enjoy it.

The little monster beans looked a lot happier as they were able to truly get busy,

After some chit-chat and offering more encouragement to Pool and Sanque, Su Yang walked out of the villa to the yard.

The yard had already been renovated slightly. Other than the new swimming pool on the left, the entire yard was leveled flat. Deeny told Su Yang that she planned to buy some tiles, cobblestone, and greens to let the little monster beans decorate the place.

Su Yang gave her the green light. However, since he had been busy lately, he planned to move the things to Pool’s milk tea shop first next week, and when he had the time, he would move the decoration into the virtual space for the little monster beans.

On the right side of the yard, Su Yang saw a beautiful flower growing on top of where he planted the beans.

The flower was bright yellow in color, something similar to winter jasmine. It was small and unlike the flower that bloomed from a normal yellow bean. On top of the flower was the virtual space’s own description window: [Cyclops Bean (Planting)]

The description also stated the duration for the beans to sprout.

[The Cyclops Beans will sprout in 3 days, bloom in 5 days, and can be harvested in 7 days]

Su Yang roughly calculated the time and concluded that the beans could be harvested tomorrow. He was a little excited to harvest the beans because he might be the first and the only one in history to plant monster beans.

After he left the yard, Su Yang returned to his room and noticed that he had received a WeChat message from Lin Jiali, who had not messaged him since the last event.

Su Yang checked the message and saw that Lin Jiali sent him a sticker of a cat sulking on the floor.

Lin Jiali said: [My manager is leaving again.]

Su Yang felt embarrassed when he read the message. He scratched his nose awkwardly as if he was being caught in the act.

He replied: [Why?]

Lin Jiali replied: [I don’t know. All she said was she found a better future, but I’m used to it anyway. I’ve been struggling to keep my popularity up all these years. Even after I became the main lead in a drama, the supporting actress got all the attention. If something as bad as that can happen to me, I think I might not be suitable in the industry, I might not have what it takes.

[The managers that the company assigned to me are all rookies or old folks, who barely care about me, so all the managers tend to leave after a few months and I’m already used to it.]

Su Yang pondered at her words. ‘She’s stuck in a vicious cycle.She’s not popular, so she can’t get a caring manager. If she can’t get a good manager, no one will give her jobs or develop her career. And when she gets worse, the newer managers don’t want to work with her…Yeap, it’s a vicious cycle.

Lin Jiali was speechless. ‘Geez! You are such a fake fan! This is bullying! You are bullying your idol, do you know that!?’

After joking with Lin Jiali, Su Yang washed up for bed. Before he crawled into bed, he checked on the [Reverse Wishing Sculpture] one last time. He wrapped it with a cloth and stuck it deep in his drawer before he put his mind at rest.

Night at the villa was darker than usual because there was no moon in the ‘sky’.

In the dark and quiet storeroom, a pair of eyes opened. It looked around and saw the little monster beans scattered across the storeroom. Even its little cushion had a few sleeping on it.

It carefully moved the sleeping beans away and then snuck to the door. The door was opened and its head popped out for a look.

After making sure that no one was around, it sucked in a breath and turned its body as thin as a book. Its tiny edges slowly wriggled around the seam of the door and it pushed itself out.

When it came out, it closed the door carefully and released its breath, returning its body to its fat and big size.

Under the dim light in the villa, its true form was slowly revealed. It Little Hus with the bigger body!

After he came out of the storeroom, he muttered, “Strange. Why do I smell something strong tonight? Where is this opportunity? Am I going to be rich?”

He sniffed around and then looked up to the second floor. “It’s up there? Su Yang is asleep, isn’t he?”

Little Hus looked around before he carefully made his way up to the second floor. The strong scent led him to the study room.

He sniffed around when he entered the study room and then fixed his gaze at the drawer where Su Yang had hidden the [Reverse Wishing Sculpture].

Little Hus’ husky picture smiled sinisterly when he saw the drawer. “My, my, it seems like Su Yang got something good again.”
