Xu Kuncai pouted. “It’s not the same: performing on-stage and by the roadside.”

Su Yang looked at him and argued, “How is it not the same? What do you really like: singing or the stage?”

“Singing, of course!” Xu Kuncai said without a second thought.

“That’s my point! So, the stage doesn’t matter,” said Su Yang.

Xu Kuncai argued, “Of course, it matters! I like singing, but I want more people to listen to my voice!”

“Are you saying that no one will listen to you if you sing by the roadside?” Su Yang asked.

“Of course…” Xu Kincai instinctively replied, but when the words escaped his mouth, he was frozen.

His eyes widened in shock when he got a closer look at Su Yang. “Huh?! Aren’t you…Aren’t you the guy who sang in front of the campus entrance? The guy who went viral because of the busking?!”

He was extremely excited after he recognized Su Yang. He grabbed Su Yang’s hand and shook it repeatedly. “I really liked your song, mate!”

Su Yang smiled and subtly but awkwardly pulled his hand away. “Take me for an example. No matter where you sing, as long as you are good, it won’t stop people from liking your voice.”

He added, “I know there might be a little conflict between you two, but he’s already apologized, so why don’t we let this go?’

Xu Kuncai was carried away by his own excitement. He waved and said, “Of course, it’s fine! It’s nothing serious anyway. By the way, can you teach me how to sing? I really like your song, mate!”

The reason why he helped Li Xianhe was his mission.

Li Xianhe said, “Maybe it’s nothing to you, but it was a big problem for me. He has been harassing me for days now and insisted that I tripped him to make him fail the audition. He wanted me to explain it to the judges. I really did nothing that day. He walked into me and fell on his own.”

With lingering doubts, he reached the other faculty, the Faculty of Watercraft.

Su Yang saw Chen Xiaoyun stop one of the students with a wide smile, but the student waved and walked past her. She smiled bitterly and stopped for a moment but did not give up. She put on a smile again and searched for the next student.

The next student she held up finally stopped. Chen Xiaoyun quickly handed over a flyer and promoted the app to him.

Despite watching from afar, Su Yang was able to tell the flyer was drenched in sweat and had started to wrinkle.

A moment later, the student nodded and scanned the QR code with his phone. Chen Xiaoyun happily went over to the bag of gifts that she had put under the tree. She took one and gave it to the student.

After the student left, Su Yang walked up to her and asked, “Tired?”

Chen Xiaoyun shook her head. “Mr. Su! No, I’m okay.”

“I’m done with my business. Let me help.”

He grabbed the bag of gifts. With the flyers in hand and the halo activated, he stood beside Chen Xiaoyun and started promoting.

Even though Su Yang had the [Verbal Canon] and the [Charms of Talking] before this, he was not able to put them to use because no one even stopped to listen to him.

However, after he activated the [Ally Halo], everyone within a 20-meter radius showed him kindness. The students who were not in a hurry could not resist his smile and stopped to listen to what he had to say.

80% of the students who stopped were hooked by Su Yang’s words while those who had the slightest idea of getting a part-time job would download the app, verify their names, and give it a try.

With all three effects in play, more and more students stopped and listened to him, hence increasing the downloads of the app.
