Chapter 1673: Re: Founding Festival ⑤

On the morning of the day of Hydra Kingdom’s Founding Festival, I’m currently in the Sanctuary for some reason. No, I was called by Shiro-san right after I woke up, so I only got to change and get myself ready…… I don’t understand why I was called at this moment when there’s still time until the start of the Founding Festival, nor do I know the meaning of the breakfast that was placed in front of me as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Well, since she had prepared it for me, I guess I’ll go eat some breakfast. It was a simple but delicious-looking breakfast made out of a croissant, soup, and salad, and immediately taking a bite of the croissant, I became speechless at how delicious it was.

Eh? What is this? It’s too delicious. Of course, it was soft and fluffy, but it was also very much to my liking. I think this was probably something Shiro-san created, as it left me almost just as shocked as when I drank Glorious Tea.

[Yes, it’s very tasty…… Ah, no, this aside, what’s that Pattern B?]

I was in a trance from the deliciousness of the food, but when I heard Shiro-san’s voice, I mentioned something that had popped into my mind a while ago. Shiro-san said that calling me to the Sanctuary was Pattern B, but I guess there’s also Pattern A?

[My Pattern A was executed on our previous date.]

[Unnn? Which means?]

[It’s one where we meet up and head out on our date. The previous exchange “Did you wait? No, I just got here.” falls into Pattern A.]

With those words, I felt like I began to understand what Shiro-san was trying to say. Was she perhaps talking about patterns for the start of a date?

Pattern A would be where we would meet up at a set location before heading out on our date, while Pattern B would be when we meet up first, then head to our date together.

[You’re mistaken.]

[Eh? That wasn’t it?]

[Yes. Pattern A was just as you said, but Pattern B is one where “we live together and go out together”.]

[…………Eh? No…… We aren’t living together though?]

[Indeed, we aren’t.]

[……No, no! When you agree to that, all you’re getting is more question marks from me though!?]

As expected of Shiro-san, she’s fully exhibiting how much of a natural airhead she is, as she continues to leave my head in a state of perpetual confusion.

[And so, taking the form of living together…… We’re having breakfast together.]

[I- Is that so…… No, well, I don’t really mind if Shiro-san’s fine with that…… Rather, in the first place, why go for such a pattern?]

[In preparation for this date, I did some studying. I obtained reference materials through a deal with Earth God, and firmly grasped the knowledge within it, so one could call me the Love Master now.]

Saying this, Shiro-san made multiple books appear on the table…… but no matter how I look at them, they just look like romance mangas. Errr, so basically, she studied by reading romance mangas? Well, I feel like mangas in that genre tend to be quite exaggerated. Like, they are meant to be stories read by readers, making events there more dramatic than they usually may be, so I don’t really think they’re suitable for reference…… Also, I can’t help feeling a bit uneasy about the situation where Shiro-san had apparently acquired a certain level of knowledge in something.

[Well, of course, these are just for reference. They don’t depict how it was like between me and Kaito-san, so I plan to play things by the ear in that regard.]

[O- Ohh, it’s a bit bewildering when you suddenly started saying something very sensible compared to how it was before…… Well, I approve of that. Doing things too rigidly according to a set pattern can make things awkward, so I think it’s best we take things casually and have fun.]

I felt a little more anxious for a moment, but Shiro-san has matured a lot compared to before, and from what she said, I think I should be able to rest easy to some extent.

……It’s just, things would be alright, right? Her airheadedness won’t just spark out and she won’t start saying weird things, right? It really would be great…… if things really turn out alright.
