Chapter 1613 - A Reward for Lilia ⑥

After a short break, the verification process continued, with me participating from time to time, verifying what it would be like with my Αναμνήσεις buff.

However, there weren’t many opportunities for me to help, as I spent most of my time reading books and relaxing, but by the end of their session, Lilia-san was quite exhausted and unusually tired.

Furthermore, this ability isn’t about determining the damage inflicted on the opponent; it’s more designed to ensure that Lilia-san’s attack can reach her maximum potential. This means that the moment Lilia-san assumes an attacking stance, it’s possible for one to instantly read the optimal and highest-rate attack that she can launch from that stance, making it possible for one to anticipate her next action. Well, in the first place, reaching a level where you can do that would mean your base abilities are at least Quasi-Omnipotent or greater……]

Lilia-san’s Hauteclere is undeniably a powerful ability, but due to its attack-focused nature, it inherently lacks the option to adjust its intensity. As a result, it seems that it was a skill that requires careful consideration of when and where to use it. 

I think this inability to adjust its power could indeed be a significant constraint. Depending on the usage scenario, there’s a possibility that Lilia-san would cause significant collateral damage to the surroundings. However, it truly seems to have the ultimate efficacy as a one-hit-kill finishing move. It really embodies the concept of a lethal, decisive strike.

[On the other hand, Hauteclere’s ability, the automatic maximization is strictly for your attack’s power, so it seems you have a fair amount of freedom to customize your imbued spells and additional effects. If you choose the right options for the appropriate situations, it can certainly be quite powerful. Just from the description of its ability, I initially thought it wouldn’t have any effect on someone like me, who has already trained up to the limit of talent, but it does have the advantage of being able to deliver an attack through the ideal trajectory. I suppose this part is somewhat similar to Kaito-san’s Autopilot.]

[Ahh, now that you mentioned it, it does resemble it a bit…… including how hard it was to adjust it.]

Well, in an overall assessment, there’s no doubt that Lilia-san’s Hauteclere is a powerful Heart Tool, but mastering its use seems to be a bit challenging. Well, since it’s Lilia-san we’re talking about here, I have the feeling she’ll soon be able to handle it skillfully……

When we returned to Lilia-san’s mansion after the verifications…… I found that not a long time had passed. That subspace seems to have had its flow of time tampered with, as even though I must have been there for quite a long time, it seemed that almost no time had passed here outside.

And as Alice disappeared, saying she would continue with additional verifications later, Lilia-san watched her leave with eyes resembling those of a dead fish, when her expression suddenly changed, seemingly having remembered something.

[Actually, I got another gift from Eden-sama…… I’m very tired, so I’m going there to heal my heart, so if it’s alright with you, how about going there with me?]

[Eh? Yes, that’s fine with me but…… a gift?]

[Yes. It seems like I got my own private world.]

I initially thought she said something outrageous, but since it’s Eden-san we’re talking about, I just nodded, realizing that that might actually be possible. However, despite the clearly stomach-churning nature of that gift, Lilia-san instead seems fidgety and excited, brimming with eagerness to go to that world as soon as possible.

She also said that that place would heal her heart, so I guess that world is one that could make her heart at ease? Hmmm…… Then, that world probably got something dragon-related huh. Yep, that’s definitely it.
