Chapter 58

When the old butler returned, he was followed by a tall middle-aged beastman. It was Nelson, the now-director of the Interstellar Legal Education Bureau.

The old  butler led Nelson to a small meeting room and let the robot serve some tea before heading upstairs by himself to report to Jin WoWo.

Nelson looked at the back of the old butler who was walking so quickly he almost flew away. Nelson thought to himself, “This old butler should be around 150 or 160 years old, yet his health seems to still be very good.”

“Young madam, Mr. Nelson, the irector of the Interstellar Legal Education Bureau, said he wanted to see you.”

“Me?”

Jin WoWo was a little puzzled, he didn’t know any director of the what Legal Education Bureau.

Originally, he planned to just cultivate in the room for the day. But since someone seems to need something from him, he will go down and have a look.

Jin WoWo went down stairs and found that the “some director” turned out to be someone he was familiar with.

This person was also present on the day Raymond was elected as the patriarch of the black python clan. This director helped confirm Cyril’s cub’s real father.

For those on his side, Jin WoWo felt good will towards them. Remembering the events of that day, Jin WoWo smiled and greeted, “Mr. Nelson, hello.”

Nelson didn’t talk nonsense and went straight to the point. Nelson stood up and said, “Madam, I’m here to ask you about the “epilepsy” you diagnosed before.” (T/E Throwback to chapter 37)

Jin WoWo: “…”

He remembered that after Raymond’s second uncle and cousin were stung by hornets that day, this Nelson scoured through his knowledge and declared that he would use his “one year’s salary as compensation” to consult with him and learn more about the Qi Huang Art.

However, because of the many things that were going on at that time, the knowledge consultation was pushed aside and soon forgotten.

Unexpectedly, this Nelson was quite persistent. He even came to his door in person today.

Jin WoWo could only heal injuries and not diseases. The Qi Huang Art is actually a high-level Chinese medicine technique. With his shallow understanding, the whole technique was only brought up and made to fool people at that time.

Seeing that Jin WoWo hadn’t spoken for a long time, Nelson put his hands together above his head and offered a big gift to Jin WoWo first.

“Young madam, I am willing to use one year’s salary as compensation.”

How much was this person’s annual salary, and how could he always offer it up as a “gift”?

Since Jin WoWo had been offered a big gift and it was handed over to the old butler, it wouldn’t accepted all the big gifts from others, and it wouldn’t be good if he didn’t say anything.

He cleared his throat and said, “Mr. Nielsen, the method “Qi Huang Art” is consisted of 4 techniques to find a diagnosis and treatment-look, smell, ask, and touch. One must listen to the sounds of the body and the patient, ask about the symptoms, and touch  the person’s pulse and so on.”

The desire for knowledge flashed in Nelson’s eyes. Leaning forward, he couldn’t help nodding at Jin WoWo’s every word.

He could understand the first three things Jin WoWo said about looking, listening, and asking. But, he didn’t understand what Jin WoWo meant by “touching the person’s pulse.”

Nelson asked more about this technique eagerly. 

Jin WoWo replied, “Touching the pulse is…pressing against the patient’s wrist artery to feel the pulse with your fingers, observing the condition and changes in the pulse, and distinguishing the rise and fall of the internal organs through it.”

While talking, Jin WoWo demonstrated with his fingers..

Nelson mimicked Jin WoWo’s actions and pressed on the pulse on his wrist. “What do you mean by condition and changes of the pulse? And, how are the organs representated?” 

Jin WoWo: “…”

He couldn’t make this up anymore. Jin WoWo coughed and said, “Actually, with the level of medical technology we currently have, this method is not very useful. I also haven’t put too much energy into studying this aspect…”

Nelson nodded. “Nowadays, if an organ was diseased, a photo would be taken using the different instruments available, making the problem apparent with a clear photo. En, this method does seem impractical.” Nelson thought. 

Jin WoWo slyly changed the topic of the conversation,  “My main research is actually toward the direction of cleaning toxins in the veins of beastmen caused by the energy that circulates constantly throughout their body and energy core.”

“Young madam is also doing research on vein cleansing and energy toxicity?”

Jin WoWo nodded calmly. After all, he was already doing something about this.

“Our research institute has also been doing a lot of research in this area. Would the young madam be willing to join?” Nielsen offered.

“Can you tell me more about your research institute?” Jin Wowo asked.

“This institute was privately established by me. It is relatively small. The researchers in it are composed of a few of my studets and me. The salary is not as good as those of a large institute. In terms of welfare…” Nielsen answered.

“Let’s not talk about those details yet.” Jin WoWo interrupted, hurriedly raised his hand to stop him.

Nelson nodded, “Okay. How is the young madam’s research progress?”

Jin WoWo’s expression remained as it was and answered, “Two formulas have entered the experimental stage.”

Nielsen’s eyes lit up, “I ordered a super testing equipment some time ago, and it just happens to be available in the next few days.”

Jin WoWo: “…”

He hasn’t promised to join his research institute, okay? However, this Nelson seems to have already regarded him as a member.

Jun WoWo suddenly had an idea.

Since it would be impossible to stay as a small online store owner for the rest of his life, he must expand and industrialize. And, the only way to do such a thing in this industry was to set up a pharmaceutical company.

Based on his lack of foundations in this world and the industry having nothing to do with Raymond’s name, he should cooperate with Nelson, the director of the Interstellar Legal Education Bureau, and establish a pharmaceutical factory in the name of the other party’s research institute. This way, the road would be much smoother.

So, Jin Wowo nodded and smiled, “Then, I would gladly accept your offer and become an official memeber of your research institute.”

Nelson beamed with joy, “Then, the salary package I…”

Jin WoWo raised his hand to stop him, and smiled, “Let’s not talking about the salary and welfare packages. My goal is to work together to set up a pharmaceutical factory once the research yields results. Don’t worry as I will also be funding my own research. In this sense, you can consider me as an investor and partner.”

Nelson did not expect that when he came today, not only would he bring in a new researcher for the institute, but also bring in a large investment. Naturally, he was very happy.

Nelson couldn’t wait to say, “Young madam, do you want to test the results of your research progress today?”

“I’m not in a hurry and today is not really a good time. I still have some things to deal with. Let’s talk again in two days.” Jin WoWo hasn’t actually prepared anything yet. So, he had no formula to test.

As for those he sold in the online shop, the formula was crude. Jin WoWo didn’t want to link reality with what was on the Internet.

Nelson nodded, “That’s all right. What’s the young madam’s bank account number? I’ll pass send it to you right away.”

“What?”

“I promised to use my one year’s salary as compensation in exchange for a discussion on Qi Huang Art.” Nielsen answered.

Jin WoWo: “…”

Jin WoWo laughed dryly and waved his hand, “No need to send the money. It is unnecessary, and I didn’t really teach you anything.”

Nelson breathed a sigh of relief, “Fortunately, you didn’t accept.  Actually, I don’t have any money now. All my money has been invested into funding research.”

This Nelson is so straightforward. How did he become the director of the Interstellar Legal Education Bureau?
