Chapter 52

Seeing that Jin WoWo did not look annoyed or disgusted by Raymond’s confession, he secretly relaxed a little and asked tentatively, “Are you…willing?”

“What do you mean?” Jin WoWo asked, suppressing a smile.

Raymond looked at him with an intense gaze and opened his mouth, “Will you be my partner?”

Jin WoWo blinked, and looked at Raymond.

The nerves that Raymond had relaxed just now, tightened out of nervousness.

Jin WoWo asked with a small smile, “Do you know who I am?”

“You are Jin WoWo.” Raymond answered seriously.

The golden snail: “…”

Okay, let’s rephrase the question.

Jin WoWo: “Do you know where I come from?”

Raymond shook his head, “But I know you are not from this world.”

“I really am not a person in your world. To be precise, I am not human.”

Raymond’s eyes widened slightly, “Then, what are you?”

“I am a demon.”

Demon?

What is a demon?

“A demon is a kind of evil creature that specializes in deceiving the human mind and coexists with the devil.”

Well, this was the human definition of a fairy.

Raymond frowned, feeling a little uncomfortable from Jin WoWo’s words.

If Jin WoWo really were such a person, then it would have been impossible for him (JW) to save him (R), let alone help others with his special ability!

Sometimes Jin WoWo really was a little bit naughty. But, those are trivial things that were innocuous and couldn’t really be described as evil.

As for “confusing the human mind” part, Raymond ignored it completely.

He can see and understand his feelings for Jin WoWo clearly. He simply likes Jin WoWo. It was not the kind of obsession that had to do with being fascinated by the mind.

Jin WoWo waited for a while. Seeing Raymond frown deeper and deeper, it seemed like what he said was unacceptable.

Jin WoWo still maintained his smile, but this smile didn’t reach the bottom of his eyes.

Jin WoWo leaned back against the bed, smiling. “Okay, I want to rest. You should go now.”

It was human nature to reject odd creatures. This was something he could understand.

This was also the reason why they (demons) have never dared to revert into their original forms in front of people while living in human society.

“You are not like that.” Raymond said solemnly while frowning.

Jin WoWo raised his eyebrows and looked into Raymond’s eyes. “Oh? Then, what am I?”

“You are very kind!”

Jin Wowo waited for Raymond to continue. But that was it?

Just those four words?

“What do you mean?” Jin WoWo asked.

“You definitely did not confuse others. And, you are definitely not evil.” Raymond answered resolutely.

“You’re just saying that because I didn’t harm you in any way.”

When Jin WoWo sat up, a charming young man smiling could be seen reflected in Raymond’s eyes.

The young man stretched out an arm and wrapped them around Raymond’s neck. Stretching his long legs, he straddled and sat on Raymond’s thighs.

Raymond tensed.

Jin WoWo used the back of his index finger to lightly trace Raymond’s face, as if he were etching it into his memory.

Raymond could feel his pores tremble and warm as the fingers brushed past his pores.

The golden snail slowly approached him and blew a breath in his ear.

Raymond’s fist clenched sharply beside him.

“Is this not me confusing you to become obsessed with me? Tempting you to look at me more?” Jin WoWo whispered.

Raymond gritted his teeth, “No!”

Jin WoWo pressed his palm to Raymond’s chest. “Your heart is beating so fast and yet you refuse to admit it?”

Raymond clenched his fist even tighter and a light “cackling” sound was heard. But, he still resolutely answered, “No!”

Jin WoWo smiled, “Well, the willpower is very strong.”

Raymond gritted his teeth, looking at Jin WoWo steadily and staying absolutely motionless.

“Then, do you know what kind of demon I am?” Jin WoWo asked.

Since he was in a good mood, Jin WoWo opened his mouth to say a few more words.

“I am a snail demon.”

Jin WoWo pulled his bangs apart and pointed to the snail shell pattern between his brows.

Raymond looked at the pattern on the other’s forehead. He had seen this pattern countless times, and had carefully observed it when Jin WoWo was asleep. It wouldn’t be a shock to say he knew every streak of the pattern.

It’s just that there are no shell-shaped beastmen in the empire, so he has never thought about it too much. He only thought it was something in Jin WoWo’s world that made drawing such a unique pattern popular.

Turns out, this pattern was actually an animal, specifically the shape of a golden snail.

Of course, the snail that Raymond knew was the kind of small, sluggish, shell-shaped creature that emerged from the grass and soil after a rainy day.

No wonder Jin WoWo was usually slow to move his hands and feet and would look at situations slowly without panicking. Turns out, his animal was that of a small snail.

Furthermore, the demons that he mentioned were actually very similar to beastmen. Both of them could take the forms of both beast and human.

Seeing that Raymond didn’t show signs of shock or rejection, Jin WoWo’s mood improved a little bit. “However, I can’t turn back into a snail for the time being, I can only maintain this form rightnow.”

“Why?”

Jin WoWo shrugged, “I don’t know. There’s  probably something wrong with my body. If I practice hard, maybe I’ll be able to cultivate to a certain level and be automatically healed.”

Raymond nodded, “I will get someone to send over a box of No. 2 Energy Liquid for you tomorrow. When the banquet is over, I’ll take you to the Energy Star and maybe a solution can be found there. Don’t worry. ”

In fact, Raymond couldn’t show any signs of aversion, as he was already imagining what the Jin WoWo would look like if he were to turn into a snail. The small snail might just be a little bigger than his thumb, swaying his four little antenna/tentacles slowly, looking very cute.

The snail would be so small that he could be held in the palm of his hands.

Speaking of Energy Star, Jin WoWo remembered the question just now and asked with a smile, “Your Energy Star, are you really going to give it to me?”

“You…don’t want it?”

“Want.”

Why wouldn’t he want it? This was Raymond’s gift;

Raymond looked at Jin WoWo and saw a dazzling smile accompanied by sparkling deep green eyes.

Jin WoWo accepted his gift. This definitely meant he has agreed to become his partner.

Raymond felt ecstatic. But due to his always expressionless face, there was not much change in his expression.

During the whole exchange, the two sat in front of each other, face to face.

Raymond stretched out a hand and carefully embraced the golden snail.

Jin WoWo smiled. “Have you already considered it? If you get together with me, you can’t get another wife.”

Isn’t marrying Jin WoWo making him his wife anyway?

Raymond nodded seriously.

Jin WoWo’s eyes curved into crescent moons. “For the sake of your sincerity, I will consider your proposal.”

After he finished speaking, he lightly pecked Raymond on the lips.

Raymond’s hand grasping Jin WoWo suddenly tightened, and at the same time, a loud “bang” was heard.

Both of them were taken aback.

Jin Wowo slowly turned his head to look at the place where the sound came from – the edge of the bed… where Raymond’s other hand was.

And in that hand was a piece of the bed that had been broken off.

Jin WoWo: “…”

Raymond: “…”

The two looked at each other.

After a long while, Jin Wowo asked: “Are you that excited?”

Raymond: “…”
