Chapter 283 – Twenty-Four Star Bombs

Yang Tian did not use Dragon-Claw Hand but used only a punch to strike Jiang Lie. An Inner Art Martialist could never compete with an External Arts Martialist in close combat, and Yang Tian’s physique was at High Rank 4.

Jiang Lie took out a red shield to block Yang Tian’s attack. Even though the shield was not a low rank one, Yang Tian was still able to leave a faint imprint of his fist on the shield.

“What are you people trying to do? If you obstruct us, our City Lord will pay a visit to your territory in the future.” The metahumans from Blazing Lava City started threatening when they saw people obstructing them.

These people have witnessed Jiang Lie’s strength and knew that they would not be his match. The threat made by the metahumans from Blazing Lava City effectively prevented their obstruction.

Just as one of them went to take the sword, they heard a violent sound of explosion shocked their hearts.

The explosion came from Lei Xing and Night Emissary. At that moment, the thick smoke from the explosion was still dispersing; a figure slowly walked out of the smoke dragging a half-dead person in his hand.

The figure tossed the person in his hand towards the military.

“How come it is Captain Han?”

“Captain Han is a Rank 4, how can he lose?”

The metahumans from the military and various organizations were shocked. Lei Xing was only Yang Tian’s follower, but he was able to win an Early Rank 4 Night Emissary.

After the thick smoke scattered, Lei Xing’s figure was revealed. Lei Xing was covered in several injuries, but it was nothing much if compared to the Dark Emissary on the ground.

“What did you do to our Captain!”

“How can you win our Captain with just that level of strength, you must have tricked him!”

Several military metahumans could not believe that their captain would lose to a Rank 3. These Early Rank 3s surrounded Lei Xing with Gun-Type Magic Energy Equipment in their hands.

Lei Xing coldly assessed the metahumans that surrounded him.

Just as Lei Xing was about to fight, a voice got Lei Xing to stay his hand. Ji Hou Tao had returned to the field, his expression was calmer this time.

His original intention was to suppress Yang Tian slightly because Yang Tian was the only one amongst the organizations that joined them through trading benefits. However, Yang Tian’s powerful strength caused him to be at a loss at what to do. Especially, the Magic Energy Equipment that Lei Xing used, it was much more powerful than C City’s products.

Ji Hou Tao had observed the entire battle between Lei Xing and the Dark Emissary. Ji Hou Tao had never seen Lei Xing display his ability, or to put it in another way, Ji Hou Tao did not know how to determine Lei Xing’s ability. However, Lei Xing’s excellent application of Magic Energy Weapon has astounded Ji Hou Tao.

Everyone could see the difference in rank between Lei Xing and the Dark Emissary, but Lei Xing was equipped with a countless number of Magic Energy Equipments. Moreover, Lei Xing used a High Rank 3 Magic Energy Equipment to defeat the Dark Emissary.

Twenty-Four Star Bombs

The Star Bombs are only thumb-size, but there are twenty-four of them. Lei Xing noticed the difference in rank between himself and the Dark Emissary; that was why he secretly planted the Twenty-Four Star Bombs in the ground during the fight. On its own, a single Star Bomb has a destructive power equivalent to a Mid Rank 3, but when all twenty-four pieces were used together, their destructive power could reach Mid Rank 4.

The Core Formation and Supplementary Formation required to craft the Twenty-Four Star Bombs was extremely complicated, Lei Xing only has one set of Twenty-Four Star Bombs, which he used in the fight with the Dark Emissary earlier.

It was also the Twenty-Four Star Bombs that caused Ji Hou Tao to feel regretful, that was why he appeared in a bid to reconcile the matter. He was able to reach his current position not simply because of using methods through iron and blood; it was also because he knew how to draw in people. 

Ji Hou Tao’s appearance caused the metahumans from Blazing Lava City to heave a sigh of relief. Jiang Lie was on the verge of collapsing under Yang Tian’s savage attacks, the red shield the former was using was also covered in a large number of cracks.

The Early Rank 4 behind Ji Hou Tao quickly entered the field and express apologies to Yang Tian on behalf of Ji Hou Tao.

Yang Tian pondered for a moment before he stopped attacking Jiang Lie. He was still in someone else’s territory; if the host was willing to lower his head, Yang Tian was willing to not take things too far. Also, if Jiang Lie managed to get his hands on the Blazing Ancient Sword, Yang Tian believes he would still be at a disadvantage.

Yang Tian’s current fighting power was still not enough to defeat Jiang Lie with Blazing Ancient Sword.

When Jiang Lie saw Yang Tian stopped attacking, he tossed the crumbling shield onto the ground. The shield was completely wasted, Jiang Lie also hid his arms behind his body to hide the trembling caused by the shock he endured when holding up the shield.

Yang Tian walked to Ji Hou Tao, Jiang Lie also kept the Blazing Ancient Sword on his back and stood in front of Ji Hou Tao as well.

“Leader Yang, the previous matter is this old man being too impulsive, Lei Hu, and the others were also too rash. Since you have crippled Lei Hu’s arm, can we let this incident go?”

Yang Tian did not reply to Ji Hou Tao but looked at Lei Xing instead. Lei Xing was covered in injuries, but none of them looked life-threatening; Yang Tian sighed in relief.

Ji Tian Luo was slightly angered when she saw that Yang Tian did not reply to her grandfather but checked on Lei Xing instead. However, Ji Hou Tao stopped Ji Tian Luo from doing anything because the former greatly admires Lei Xing’s Magic Energy Equipment talent. From Ji Hou Tao’s perspective, Lei Xing was more important than Yang Tian.

“Then, let’s stop here!”

Yang Tian knew that Early Rank 4 was not the limit of C City’s military forces; they should possess at least a Mid Rank 4 power amongst them.

“Do you have to feel so reluctant?” the indignant Ji Tian Luo said.

“I am not reluctant, not one bit.”

Ji Tian Luo noticed that Yang Tian was looking at her with a strange look and instantly covered her chest. For some reason, Ji Tian Luo suddenly felt as though Yang Tian was able to see through everything about her.

“What are you looking at!”

Jiang Lie spoke out, now that he has the Blazing Ancient Sword again, he could not help but become angry when he saw Yang Tian constantly staring at Ji Tian Luo.

Ji Hou Tao felt delighted when he saw the two men portraying acts of jealousy.
