Chapter Eight: To be the Father

Xia Nuan is brought to the private doctor of Ye Sichen for a comprehensive physical examination.

Each step is quite strict.

The physical examination result shows that Xia Nuan is very healthy. However, she is a little weak after delivery, so she needs to supplement nutrition.

The private doctor Mi Ke’er tells Ye Sichen Xia Nuan’s physical status.

Ye Sichen nods head and watches at Xia Nuan standing outside. He says to Mi Ke’er: “Go out first.”

Mi Ke’er has a look at Xia Nuan and then leaves sensibly.

Only Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen stay in the room. The unexplainable nervousness feeling attacks Xia Nuan’s heart once again. She can only withdraw her eyesight because she doesn’t dare to stare into Ye Sichen.

“You need nutrition. You have to rest on the bed for a few days from tomorrow.”

“No, thanks. Mr. Ye, I am not delicate. I come to work.”

Xia Nuan feels that he is incredibly kind.

Ye Sichen frowns: “Mi Ke’er told me that your body is rather weak after the delivery. My two children are still very young. You can look after them on the bed. As to your child, I don’t mind you bring him to work here.”

“No, thanks, Mr. Ye. My child has already…died after birth.” Xia Nuan makes a lie despite the sadness.

On hearing this, Ye Sichen’s deep and charming eyes under the animated eyebrows are covered by a layer of sadness: “Where is your husband?”

“Ah? I, I have divorced my husband.” Xia Nuan tries to cheat Ye Sichen.

If Ye Sichen knows that she has delivered a baby before getting married, how could he think of her?

Ye Sichen’s eyesight shows a little sympathy again. He just stands up and buckles his cuffs elegantly: “You’d better take a rest in the first. I will lead you to my children.

Xia Nuan is taken to the Four Seasons Hotel where Ye Sichen lives.

The hotel is completely enclosed by the fans. They hold plates with Ye Sichen’s name, raise their heads and look into the front of the asphalt road. Even it is in the early morning, they are waiting for Ye Sichen with perseverance.

Ye Sichen walks into the hotel successfully after exchanging his clothes with the bodyguard in the car.

Xia Nuan also walks inside after dressing as a boy.

Ye Sichen is a man focusing on privacy. He doesn’t want to give rise to the guesswork and gossip of the media because of a nanny.

“Bill, I don’t want my fans to stay here overnight. Ask them to go back and take a rest.” After entering the hotel, Ye Sichen commands his bodyguard next to him with a dignified expression.

The bodyguard Bill promises and leaves.

After entering the presidential suite, Xia Nuan hears the sound crying of the children.

There are two women holding one baby each. They take the nursing bottles to feed the brew milk powder to the babies. However, the babies wave their small paws and refuse to drink. They are just crying loudly.

Ye Sichen takes off the coat, and his slender figure seems to be taller. He steps forwards and takes turns to hold the babies, trying to comfort them.

“Do they feel uncomfortable?” Ye Sichen waves slightly with the babies in his arms. His eyes and brows show endless worries.

One woman answers carelessly: “Madam called soon after you left. I was holding the childe at that time. Madam was unhappy when she got to know that I answered the phone. So she hung up with great power. The childe was scared. The childe was crying, and the princess cried as well.”

On hearing this, a ray of haze skims over his eyes. He lowers his head and watches the children in his arms, showing a strong love.

After a while, he speaks with a hoarse voice: “If she calls again later, do not answer the phone.” His voice is a little frosty.

The two women nod their heads nervously. They are the maternity matrons invited by Ye Sichen to look after the children.

Xia Nuan’s focus is completely attracted by the two lovely children. She is lucky to see the gentle Ye Sichen in front of his children, and is deeply shocked and touched by the phenomenon in front of her.

She goes over and holds one little baby from Ye Sichen. She hugs the little baby in her arms. Watching the wrinkled little face still crying, she feels that her heart is almost melted. Suddenly, a lump comes into her throat, and she is moved into tears. She lowers her head and kisses slightly on the baby’s face.

The baby suddenly stops crying and opens his eyes. His little mouth turns into an O shape.

“Hi, baby, I love you. Do you know? I feel very sad if you continue to cry. Can you give me a big smile…” She keeps on touching the face of the baby.

On seeing this, Ye Sichen is deeply shocked at the beginning. Gradually, his thin lips outline a pleasant smile.

Xia Nuan comforts another baby in the same way.

Xia Nuan holds the two babies in her arms. She watches at their lovely faces and feels extremely mild in her heart. They are a pigeon pair. Because of their delicate features and extremely beautiful appearance, people will always love them deeply even giving a glance.

Their eyes are really pretty, just as the clean stars and transparent ambers, which are quite similar to the eyes of their dad.

Xia Nuan kisses on the faces of the two children and gives them a warm smile. The little kiddies try to get into her arms naughtily.

“They want milk.” The maidservant delivers a cup of tea to Ye Sichen. She stands aside and reminds Xia Nuan.

Ye Sichen takes over the tea. His gentle eyesight takes back from Xia Nuan and the two lovely children, stands up and leaves silently.

Xia Nuan is clear that Ye Sichen wants her to feed the children.
