Hearing Ye Sichen’s words, Xia Nuan nodded slowly, “I know it. I’ll make myself get on well with her. But, Ye, the children are reluctant to leave now. Why not stay for a few days more?”

She knew that Mrs. Ni disliked her. She also remembered it clearly that Mrs. Ni told Ge Li to hurt her children. She was unwilling to go back to the island. She wanted to be with Ye Sichen.

Wuyou turned and saw Ye Sichen. He wanted to take the photo down in fear of Ye Sichen’s misunderstanding of Xia Nuan. But it was too late. Ye Sichen had already come in.

He was calm, and nothing could be found from his face. He stepped forward to embrace Xia Nuan, his cold eyes falling on the old yellow photo.

“I think he is your uncle.” Ye Sichen smiled.

Wuyou and Nianci nodded, as if they knew it.

Ansheng asked curiously, “Then where is uncle now?”

“You should ask your mother.” Ye Sichen paused, “Maybe your uncle has gone to a distant place, or maybe he is busy working in a place.”

Xia Nuan did not hear what Ye Sichen said. She kept looking at the photo, trying to find some traces in her brain about this man.

“Let’s get out. Your mom needs some rest.” Ye Sichen did not interrupt Xia Nuan, and he took the children out.

After an indefinite period of time, Xia Nuan walked over to take the photo down. When she turned around, she saw Ye Sichen standing outside the door.

“Dad, are you free this afternoon?”

Nianci asked.

Ye Sichen answered in low spirits, “What’s the matter?”

“I want you to play with us and Mom. I like skiing. Can we go skiing?” Nianci begged.

Xia Nuan also wanted to ease the tension. Before Ye Sichen said something, she smiled and answered, “Wonderful. We go skiing together. It must be interesting.”

“Mom, I’ll in.”

Ansheng put his hand up with delight.

“Of course. We all go.” Xia Nuan fondled Ansheng’s head, and looked at Ye Sichen and smiled.

Xia Nuan helped children put on more clothes before skiing. And then, she took out Ye Sichen’s coat carefully, and put it on for him personally.

Ye Sichen fell his eyes on Xia Nuan, feeling heavy as a rock was put on his heart. Suddenly, he holds one of the tender hands which were buttoning up his coat, and put it on his chest, “You know that man?”

Xia Nuan raised her head, looked at him, and shook her head slowly, “I…”

She wanted to say “No”, but she couldn’t. And she felt softhearted when she saw a flash of expectancy in Ye Sichen’s eyes. She determined to tell a lie, “I don’t know him.”

Ye Sichen’s eyes turned bright when he saw the honesty in her eyes, “Nuan, I trust you.”

“Ye, I only have you in my heart. I don’t know why my photo was found here. I really don’t know. I have no memory about it.”

“Just forget it.” Ye Sichen raised her chin and kissed her on her lips, “You can only think of me.”
