Gu Nianzhi sat upright, still and motionless as she snuck a glance at Huo Shaoheng from the corner of her eye. She was brimming with Dutch courage; when she saw that Huo Shaoheng was not looking at her, she slowlyalmost imperceptiblybegan to lean backwards, towards the back of the sofa behind her.
