All four choices were Chinese mathematicians. Yun Xiangxiang knew nothing about this. She could only answer based on the ages of the mathematicians. Since the person was supposed to be a grandmaster, then he must be the oldest, most accomplished, and made the most contributions!

Second question: Who is the founder of the research for the mechanization of math in China?

Yun Xiangxiang knew the answer to this question. Song Mian mentioned it when he was explaining the field of mathematical mechanization.

It was a coincidence that the correct answer for this question also appeared in the choices of the first math history question.

Song Mian mentioned it when he was explaining geometric calculus to her. Yun Xiangxiang answered quickly and looked back at the ten answers in the multiple-choice questions.

This person was also within the ten non repeating choices.

Yun Xiangxiang swiftly searched for the second subjective history question: Who was the first self taught mathematician, and a legendary formula in China?

Yun Xiangxiangs math lecturer mentioned this during the rare times when Yun Xiangxiang attended class. It could be said to be a bonus question.

Sure enough, the answer too appeared within the multiple-choice questions. It verified her guess that some questions were about knowledge outside of classes.

But as long as they listened and remembered what the lecturers said during the class, they did not need to do much reading to glean the correct answer. They just needed to find it through the process of elimination.

There was also a question of judgment which involved one of the ten answers above. Her judgment was correct, and she crossed off another choice from the multiple-choice question.

It depended on whether her classmates remembered these people or not, but Yun Xiangxiang felt that most of them would not memorize these.

Many mathematicians could use many formulae like they are extensions of their body, but they never knew from whom these formulae came from.

Yun Xiangxiang continued answering the paper. Most of it was still about practical skills. Her days of hard work paid off. Already there were a few questions that tested on things they did not learn yet.

Yun Xiangxiang barely kept her laughter in when she was doing the first question of problem solving.
