Xu Baohan paused. "Forget it, I can't be bothered to talk to you anymore, but I will marry An Lan no matter what you said."

After hanging up, Xu Baohan stared at the dumplings on the chopping board and guilt filled his mind. He then called An Lan apologetically, "My dad went to see you at the law firm?"

"Ya." An Lan guessed that Xu Jinfei must have spoken ill of her, so she told him the truth right away. "Your dad was very rude to me, so I wasn't polite to him either."

"I knew it." Xu Baohan chuckled. "You did well."

Why don't we spend the New Year in Tokyo? I heard the Nian family will spend their New Year abroad too. I think it would be nice if we spend it together, since both of us don't have a good relationship with our parents."

Xu Baohan was eating when he heard her. He frowned and put down his chopsticks in a serious manner, saying, "I don't think the Japanese country culture fits our Chinese New Year culture."

"Err... that makes sense." An Lan nodded seriously. "Then what about Australia? It will be summer there right?"
