Chapter 9 - Sent to prison: Keeping secret
Chapter 9: Keeping secret
Yu Su took Xiangnu to the No. 4 carriage. The taskers in No. 4 were divided into two factions by Lin Cheng’s vines as the dividing line. One faction had five or six taskers who were transformed into monsters and the other was made of normal taskers with Lin Cheng as the head.
Those taskers who have been transformed into monsters are different from Feng Hejia’s monsterization. Those taskers have completely lost their minds and have turned into monsters full of killing intents and eager for bloodshed and they are the real natural enemies of the taskers.
They stared greedily at the normal missionaries, eager to try and wanted to attack them but were blocked by Lin Cheng’s vines.
Lin Cheng’s vines caused some trouble for the monsters but it could be seen from the demeanour and movements of the monsters that the monsters were not afraid of Lin Cheng and his vines. Their confrontation with the vines was more like a playful game of a cat teasing a mouse as they were winning and had plenty of time, so they passed the time slowly.
The situation of the taskers in the 4th carriage was very bad. They could see the leisurely attitude of the monsters. Thinking of the tragic situation of the 7th carriage, the result of the 4th carriage will not be much better after entering the next station. Thinking of this, their expressions darkened.
Lin Cheng comforted everyone and said, “Don’t be afraid, the No. 4 carriage has been checked by random. We can escape into other carriages before entering the station to avoid a safety. It will be fine.”
The sound of military boots clashing came, Yu Su, pushed open the door of carriage 4, his face appeared from behind the door, he hooked his lips at Lin Cheng, his smile was specious, causing a subtle uneasiness to grow in Lin Cheng’s heart.
However, Lin Cheng quickly forgot about this subtlety because at the moment Yu Su showed his face, the monster who was blocked by the vines suddenly shivered, stepped back messily, screamed in fear and shrank back into the corner carriage.
Seeing this, Lin Cheng’s eyes flickered slightly, just as he was about to say something, Yu Su raised his slender index finger and placed it on his perfectly curved lips.
The young man in the military uniform pushed the door open completely and the beautiful young blind man took his hand and slowly walked into the sight of the missionaries in the No. 4 carriage, clinging to Yu Su’s arm and leaning on his shoulder.
The gestures of the two of them were too close and Xiangnu’s beautiful and gentle appearance itself blurred the boundaries of gender. Lin Cheng naturally thought more of the relationship between them.
Lin Cheng’s eyes were inquisitive, this Mr Yu did not seem to want his lover to know how mighty he was.
Perhaps it was Lin Cheng’s thoughtful expression that made Yu Su misunderstand. He gently hooked his fingers at the group of monsters in the corner and with just one movement, the group of monsters who were still shrinking roared instantly, showing their teeth and claws like a dog that was arrogant enough to fight for human power.
Xiangnu was startled by the sudden movement from the monster and squeezed into Yu Su’s arms, frowning, “Mr Yu, have these monsters gone crazy?”
Yu Su glanced at the monsters, and the monsters instantly became obedient again, panting, not daring to move.
Lin Cheng’s expression changed, and he observed Yu Su’s eyes more cautiously. He raised his hand to stop the intention of the taskers in the carriage who was about to speak, took a deep breath and tried his best to pretend to be indifferent, “…Mr. Xiang, don’t be afraid. These monsters have been subdued by me, it was an accident just now, it may be their dying struggle.”
Xiang Nu slowly blinked his fine eyebrows, ‘looked’ at the direction of the monster and the corners of his lips curled up in an almost imperceptible arc, “Is that so… Mr Lin, you are really amazing.”
Lin Cheng sneered and accepted his compliment with a guilty conscience.
Yu Su asked lightly, “Did you consider my proposal?”
Lin Cheng’s expression was slightly restrained, he was silent for a moment, and said in a dry tone, “Mr Yu, I am very grateful that you have pointed us to a way out but no one can guarantee that we will be safe after entering that silver light. I can’t control anyone’s life…and no one wants to take the initiative to find a way with death, sorry.”
Yu Su looked at him blankly, Lin Cheng couldn’t help but take a step back under his gaze, his breathing almost stagnated for a moment.
Xiangnu looked nonchalant and asked curiously, “After we enter the third station, the train will stop for another 30 minutes and there is a chance that your carriage will also be filled with monsters. If you don’t try, are you ready to die?”
Lin Cheng said silently, “We are going to sneak into other carriages to avoid this happening. It’s hard to say what will happen after that. But It can be delayed for a while.”
Xiangnu pondered, Yu Su chuckled lightly, his voice was full of coolness, and calmly stated, “Do you believe that if the people in your carriage dare to step out here, the flight attendant monster will come to deal with you immediately?”
Lin Cheng smiled reluctantly, he thought, maybe not but after Yu Su said that, he thought there was a 90%… no, 100% chance!
As long as they dare to get out of this carriage, the flight attendant will definitely come over!
Lin Cheng was a little out of control and questioned sharply, “Do we have to be the first ones to enter the silver light regardless if we will die or not? If you think it is safe to enter the silver light, why don’t you take your lover and jump directly, why use us to test it for you?”
Yu Su was not angry but the eyes looking at Lin Cheng became more and more mocking, “Do you know why I have to use you as an experiment?”
Lin Cheng replied coldly, “What else could it be, isn’t it that you don’t want to take risks?”
Yu Su’s face was expressionless, his brows and eyes were cold and his aura was extremely terrifying.
Although Lin Cheng charged with anger, he couldn’t help but take a step back under his sight and his Adam’s apple involuntarily stirred.
Xiang Nu was keenly aware that the mood of the person beside him was even worse. He was secretly annoyed, thinking that Lin Cheng was too excited and he still refused to use his head.
Xiang Nu cleared his throat, attracted everyone’s attention to himself, smiled slightly and his indifferent appearance added a different kind of elegance to him.
Xiangnu said to Lin Cheng, “Mr Lin Cheng, allow me to remind you that the living creatures in your carriage are more than just missionaries.”
Lin Cheng was stunned for a moment and his eyes subconsciously looked at the group of shivering monsters, he came to a sudden realisation, “Mr Yu’s real meaning is, to throw these monsters into silver light and use them for experiments?”
Yu Su was too lazy to pay attention to him and took Xiang Nu back with a cold expression.
Lin Cheng’s expression changed and he said loudly, “Mr Yu, I’m sorry, I misunderstood you just now, please forgive my impulsiveness!”
Yu Su was too lazy to pay attention to him, he closed the door heavily and led Xiang Nu back.
Xiangnu secretly ‘looked’ at him, and after a few more ‘looks’, Yu Su pinched his chin.
Yu Su asked lightly, “What do you keep looking at me for?”
Xiang Nu lowered his head and said in a low voice, “It’s nothing… I just think Mr Yu, you look cold and hard, but you’re actually very soft inside…you’re not even mad at Lin Cheng and them.”
“Angry at them?…not necessary.”
Yu Su’s tone of voice was very calm but his expression was mocking and cold and his eyes were deadly indifferent, there was no warmth in them. Unfortunately, Xiangnu couldn’t see it.
Yu Su murmured in a low voice, like a dandelion scattered in the wind, faint and ethereal, “When this dungeon is over, everything will begin.”
Xiangnu’s ears moved sharply and he hummed suspiciously, “Huh?”
Yu Su said calmly, “It has nothing to do with you.”
Why not? Because I will pass the level, what happens after the copy is over has nothing to do with me?
Xiangnu’s thoughts couldn’t help spreading out… He tried to organize and concentrate his thoughts then asked, “Mr Yu, what if they don’t use those monsters for experiments or they couldn’t subdue those monsters?”
Yu Su said, “Rather than worrying about this, I think you should worry more about what you should do if they do not escape the dungeon smoothly after entering the silver light but instead die.”
Yu Su smiled, as if the situation was difficult for only Xiang Nu, he had nothing to do with it, not worried about what would happen if he could not get out of the copy.
He looked at Xuangnu calmly but his voice could not hide the pleasure, “I found no other clues on the train except this way of life, if this way of silver light does not work, then we will have to wait until after the prison to find a way.”
Xiangnu pursed his lips slightly, ignored him and said calmly, “There is no hurry, I have considered going through the silver light may not be possible, if this really happens, then please Mr Yu to accompany me to a place.”
Yu Su’s eyes fell on his face for a long time then he replied softly, “Okay.”
“Thank you, Mr Yu.”, Xiangnu smiled softly and elegantly, holding Yu Su’s palm with both hands and his cold and soft lips gently fell on it.
Yu Su subconsciously shrank his hand: “You…”
Xiang Nu raised his eyebrows and smiled softly, “Aren’t you used to being intimate with me like this, Mr Yu?”
Yu Su pretended to be calm, “I’ll get used to it soon.”
Xiangnu still smiled with a calm expression on his face.
Yu Su wrapped his arms around his waist and said in a low voice, “Go back, it’s our carriage that will be randomly checked this time, so let’s not run around.”
Xuangnu said obediently, “Okay.”
After they came back, the missionaries of compartment 1 immediately gathered around, looking at the two overly outstanding-looking youths with eager eyes, and asked expectantly, “Mr Yu, Mr Xiang, what did compartment 4 say, when the time comes, will they be willing to send someone down?”
Yu Su asked Xiangnu to sit down first then knocked on his hat and said coldly, “If you are curious, you can go ask.”
Then ignored the crowd and all the missionaries were very embarrassed but they had an inexplicable fear of Yu Su, they didn’t even dare to approach him, let alone press him to tell them.
Chen Chengen hesitated, “This time it was our carriage that will be randomly inspected. It’s best for everyone not to walk around randomly.”
Even if he didn’t say it, no one wanted to take the initiative to go to Car No. 4.
Although Yu Su’s personality was not very good, he was still very active in finding clues. Everyone acquiesced that he persuaded the tasker in the No. 4 carriage.
The reason why he didn’t say it was probably because he was too lazy to pay attention to them.
Yu Su glanced around the people who were secretly looking at him and Xiangnu and couldn’t help frowning.
After a few seconds, the car’s announcement sounded again, “Hello, all passengers, the train will enter the station in fifteen minutes, passengers and friends, please hurry back to your car and take a seat. Five minutes later the steward will randomly select a carriage for ticket inspection.”
“Grass 1Here, the word ‘grass’ is used as a slang as it has another meaning?, why did the time arrive so soon?”
Everyone cursed in a low voice and scattered back to their seats.
This time, Yu Su and Xiangnu didn’t run around anymore; they sat in their seats and waited for the spot check.
However, the two of them did not sit idle very quietly. The stern young man held his chin and pondered, thinking in his heart, weighing his words, and after organizing his mood, he pondered for a few seconds, and then asked, “Xiangnu, if the silver light isn’t possible where are you going to ask me to take you? Do you have any new clues?”
Xiang Nu blinked, got closer to Yu Su, and smiled lightly in his ear, “We must keep it a secret first.”
Feeling the warm air sprayed by his ears, the young man in the military uniform stiffened for a moment, then he responded with a low voice, pretending to calmly stay away from the beautiful young man, his cold fingers caressed the tip of the reddened ear, neutralizing the sudden rise in the temperature, no longer thinking about Xiangnu’s plan.
