Chapter 1172 - Return

When Alex finally woke up from his slumber, he quickly got back on his feet and returned to the planet called Encore first to say goodbye to the Spirit God since he reached this level due to his assistance.

Meanwhile, the Spirit God, who was looking at the sky that had been turning black and blue, couldn't help but smile when he saw the last one, knowing Alex had succeeded.

'You're the best chance we've got. Unfortunately, the fight against that beast may need more effort than you thought… I'm afraid your power has yet to be able to kill that beast completely.' The Spirit God clenched his teeth and sighed, 'I am sorry for burdening you with this.'

Alex landed gently on the ground and smiled at him, "I have finished. I think I have reached the True Immortal Level, but since the universe doesn't know about it, I will say I have reached God Emperor Level. What do you think?"

"Yes. I think it's good." The Spirit God nodded in agreement.

"That's right. Do you wish to say something to Lin Xingzhi and the others? I will pass your message."

"I know your good intentions, but I don't wish to create another chapter that will just add to their sadness. They have gotten over me, so I just wish for their happiness."

Alex didn't agree to it. Instead, he corrected him by saying, "What do you mean? You have said it a few times. I am you. You are me. We are the same. They love me means they love you too. The chapter is not finished yet because we are Alexander Sirius."

The Spirit God smiled and closed his eyes. "Thank you, My Reincarnation. Unfortunately, I can't say anything in the current situation. Though, I do have two things that I want to tell you."

Alex turned serious as he asked, "And they are?"

"The first is your future. If you happen to win against that beast, you shouldn't forget about the fact that the family needs proper teaching and warmth. Even if they're not going to be destroyed in your generation, we can't say anything about a few generations after you. That's why I want you to make clear with your children to teach them properly as a family.

"And have them teach their own sons and daughters to do just that." The Spirit God sighed.

Alex nodded with a grim expression, knowing what to do. "Yeah. I am not planning to have the family ruined."

"Good." The Spirit God nodded with satisfaction as he rose from the floor, walking to Alex. He got closer and hugged him like a best buddy before whispering, "Then, the second thing I want to tell you is…"

While the two Alexs had their conversation, Lin Xingzhi and the others still couldn't chase the Supreme Beast because he would disappear at the last minute. Although this process was infuriating and tedious, they managed to buy more time than needed.

Lin Xingzhi furrowed his eyebrows, wondering what she should do since Alex hadn't come out this whole time. The army started doubting him too, but she couldn't disclose the fact that Alex went to break through to another level because it meant Alex would leave them after this battle.

There was still his Space Element that could seal his cultivation, but he didn't know how effective it was, so she didn't want to make an empty promise. Only Alex's appearance would be able to revitalize them.

She sat on a chair while asking lazily, "Rose. Any information about Alex?"

[It's still blank. I don't know what's going on.]

"It just means Alex is not in this universe. Anyway, I want you to monitor him until he returns."

[I understand. I will inform you as soon as I receive information from him.]

Unknown to her, Rose had been lying this whole time because Alex requested her not to say anything, wanting to surprise them.

The God Kings, as expected, still gathered together, discussing their battle plans.

Lin Xingzhi tiredly looked at them before joining their gathering. "So, do you guys have anything you want to say about this war?"

"Not really." Alaya shook her head. "I only want to tell you that we may not be able to help the others because we will be too tired to fight anymore after dealing with them or any other reasons."

Most of them nodded their heads, showing their agreement to her statement. The God of Destruction asked, "That's right. Do you have news from the Spirit God? If he were here, we could just break through them without caring about their ambushes anymore. Unfortunately, we're in a bind here because we can't afford to lose that much."

Lin Xingzhi shook her head in disappointment. "I don't know. I haven't received any news. Even I don't know his location, so don't ask me…"

"How about a bet? Let's predict when he will return." Jeanne smirked, trying to wipe off her boredom.

Right before they started the bet, Alex laughed after making his appearance out of nowhere. "Alright. I'm betting on myself coming right now!"

Lin Xingzhi and the others were surprised, never expecting Alex would appear at this timing.

"I'm pretty lucky to finish it first before the beast. But it is also thanks to all of you here." Alex grinned and went toward them.

Lin Xingzhi accompanied by all the God Kings quickly flew toward him, looking at him with observant eyes, only to find that Alex's cultivation seemed to be the same. However, they also realized that Alex had this type of aura that they had never seen before, making them feel threatened.

Alex only smiled and said, "How are you all doing? I haven't heard any reports, so does anyone want to explain it to me?"

Lin Xingzhi let out a long sigh and said, "Our situation is not good but not that bad as well. First of all, we can have all Rank 2 Gods destroy all their armies while stopping any God Kings that dared to come here."

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah. I think that's good enough."

"Well, I have thought of something that will allow me to defeat my opponent." Lin Xingzhi added a side note with a cunning look.

The God of Destruction and God of Wrath also nodded in agreement as if they had prepared something beyond his imagination.

The Magic Goddess giggled as if she had a ridiculous plan, but Alex ignored it as well. He only observed the others and asked, "Do you think you can win?"

"If we die in this kind of situation, we will be too ashamed." Was their reply to him.

Alex nodded before the Palm God stopped him, asking, "Spirit God… Are you…"

He hesitated even though this was the question all of them wanted to ask.

Understanding their worry, Alex only answered him with another question. "Do you want to test it, Palm God?"

The Palm God shook his head due to the feeling he sensed from Alex.

"Let's go then." Alex nodded. "I'm sure you've located his direction, so we will be picking up our pace right now. I don't feel like dying today."

All God Kings nodded their heads with a serious expression as they returned to their own armies, shouting. "All troops! Move out!"

Alex then returned to Eulja's armies, where all the soldiers greeted him with euphoria. They hated to admit it, but Alex's presence indeed brought insane morale to his as well as the other God Kings' armies.

Suddenly, a group of bats tried to intercept them. They numbered a thousand.

Due to their positions, the God of Destruction tried to intercept those bats before his assistants told him to go ahead and let them handle this type of situation.

"…" The God of Destruction ultimately agreed to their decision even though he didn't want to let them do it alone. In the end, Alex sent a bit of his army along with his Guardians to help them.

As expected, Alex understood this type of tactic. "Guerilla warfare huh. With their numbers, I believe this is a good tactic since we can't act carelessly and venture too deep into their territories because we may be ambushed. But now that I'm here, we don't need to wait anymore."

Lin Xingzhi nodded and continued marching forward.

Alex turned to Lin Xingzhi and nodded before walking toward her with a serious expression.

Lin Xingzhi tilted her head in confusion, feeling Alex wanted to discuss something, but no words had yet to come out of his mouth.

Instead of telling her the truth, Alex only hugged her tightly without caring about his appearance and closed his eyes.

Lin Xingzhi was stunned, but she somehow understood that this hug felt different than any others. Alex seemed to be telling her something that she couldn't comprehend, only to find tears coming out of her left eye.

"Eh? Why am I crying?" Lin Xingzhi tried to wipe the tears while looking at Alex with bewilderment.

"Just want you to know, I love you." Alex smiled.

"I love you too, but are you setting up a red flag?" Lin Xingzhi tried to joke around to hide her tears. "You are not going to leave me and the others, right?"

"I don't have a plan to do that." Alex shook his head and released her. "Trust me, okay?"

Lin Xingzhi nodded before sensing something big in front of them. She turned around and furrowed her eyebrows.

Alex scratched the back of his head and muttered, "I wonder if this is due to the red flag?"

"What can I say? I have done my best, my past self." Alex sighed when watching the huge amount of Immortal Qi fluttering in the air. Unlike him, the beast didn't receive the baptism or tribulation since he was like Sherry, only sleeping to get it done. And when the Immortal Energy burst out of that planet, it quickly disappeared as if the beast swallowed them all like how he ate the Angels.

"I guess my luck is not that great… Or maybe it's because that beast has transcended luck? Well, I have been lucky enough that this place is not that far from the white hole where I returned to this universe, so I shouldn't feel sad. And this is going to be the last battle." Alex smiled and signaled to Lin Xingzhi.

"They are in front of us. I'm sure you are ready to face them with your all might, right?! Let's settle this for three years… No! Five thousand years grudge with them! Eulja! Move!"
