The man was wearing a black haute couture suit. His hair was a little messy, and even his deep facial features could not cover the signs of tiredness from traveling. But all these did not affect his handsomeness.

Some guys were just born well. They would always look better than others.

His dark eyes stared at her, together with a poker face. A large duffle bag was lying next to his feet.

Xia Ning never thought that she would see him in front of her own door. She had never prepared herself for such an encounter. Of course, she did not want to be prepared either.

But the door was blocked by a big hand just as she put forth her strength.

Xia Ning looked down at herself. She was wearing pajamas at the moment but she was not shy at all. She looked up at his poker face and said coldly, “Now I have seen clearly who you are and I want to close the door.”

He was 1.84 meters tall and her 1.68 meters. She could only look up at him. She did not like the pressure he was giving out.

“You don’t want to see me?” Qiao Yu looked at her calmly.

Xia Ning raised her eyebrows. “Obviously.”

Hearing her ruthless words, Qiao Yu did not show any surprise on his face. He said coldly, “I just got back to S City and have a lot going on. Enoch will stay with you today.”

“What did you say?” Xia Ning looked at Qiao Yu and thought she heard wrong.

Right then, his deep voice sounded. “I’m very busy and cannot take care of Enoch temporarily. I will pick him up tomorrow.”

Xia Ning tightened her fists and glared at the gloomy man. She tried to control her anger within and said, “Qiao Yu, I remember we made it very clear, the kid…”

“I remember, therefore I am only letting him stay at your place for one night.” Qiao Yu frowned.

“Qiao Yu, don’t cross the line!” Xia Ning yelled. She did not agree for the kid to stay at her place and he should not be making all the decisions already.

“Me, crossing the line?” Qiao Yu stared at Xia Ning coldly. The pressure from his body went down.

He did not say anymore but she knew what it meant.

Xia Ning tightened her fists. She looked down and squeezed the words out. “Our divorce papers made it very clear that you take the kid…”

“So you want this to be business?” Qiao Yu’s tone went low.

Xia Ning sneered. “I shouldn’t be like that with you?”

Qiao Yu’s face got more sullen and anger was raising from his eyes. “Xia Ning…”

“Mmm…” A sweet and soft voice was heard from outside.

Qiao Yu looked over and tenderness took over his eyes suddenly. The gloom went completely away.

Xia Ning had never seen such a gentle look from Qiao Yu. She looked out subconsciously and followed his gaze.

Another tiny suitcase was lying down on the ground. A tiny figure was on top of it as if he was asleep.

His face and Qiao Yu’s face were as if they were carved out from the same mold. It was white and tender, and very cute.

That’s Enoch? They said his eyes were like hers but they were closed right now so she could not see.

Seeing the sweat on his forehead, Xia Ning tightened her fists again. She turned to Qiao Yu. “Take him away.”
