On the other hand, Zhao Youlin already had a bad feeling when she saw Ye Yan effortlessly dismiss the chief secretary and the assistant he had brought over. He personally served as the driver to take her to her restaurant.

While she was still trying to work out a plan to get away, only to realize that the car had already reached the front of the restaurant, leaving her with no choice but to go with him.

Zhao Youlin could only follow Ye Yan into the restaurant in a helpless manner. She roughly scanned the environment around. It was quite comfortable.

Zhao Youlin had to admit that the position of the table Ye Yan booked was exactly how she liked it. It was right against the window. She could see the view outside and it was very bright, which eased the disgruntlement Zhao Youlin had earlier.

Ye Yan had been paying attention to Zhao Youlin's expression since they entered the restaurant. Seeing Zhao Youlin slowly loosening up from the resistant manner she had earlier, the bottom of his eyes vaguely revealed a hint of tenderness.

The young girl at the window was holding her cheek with one hand. She quietly gazed out at the traffic out there, people coming and going from the street. She exuded tranquility that was very different from the hustle and bustle outside the window. By just looking at her quietly, people's restless hearts would gradually be soothed and find peace.

Through the bright glass window, the sunlight shone on Zhao Youlin, like a dazzling layer of light plating her body.

Even Young Master Ye Yan, who had seen countless beautiful views, was captivated by this rare view. He gazed dumbfoundedly at everything in front of him and forgot to speak.

As there was no sound in the room, the sound of his heartbeats, which was several times faster than usual, seemed particularly loud.

Ye Yan pursed his lips as he felt the fluttering in his chest. There was a trace of forbearance in his eyes.

They remained that way in silence for some time, with one of them looking out the window, the other one watching the one who looked out of the window. Until the waiter showed up, which accidentally broke the silence between them that had almost set in and frozen.

"Sir, Miss, may I take your order now?"

Ye Yan recovered himself and quickly restrained the expression on his face before Zhao Youlin turned her head to him. He resumed his usual gentle light smile and said softly, "You may order first. Order whatever you like, no need to be too polite to me."

Zhao Youlin's eyes flickered slightly. She took the menu from the waiter and began to search for the most expensive dishes above. Since someone here was trying to act rich, how could she turn him down then? Fulfilling other's wishes is a virtue, isn't it?

After seeing Zhao Youlin ordering almost all the signature dishes in the restaurant without changing her expression, while the waiter watched in astonishment, there was no way Ye Yan did not know what was on Zhao Youlin's mind.

While he did not know whether he should laugh or cry, he still did not say anything. He smiled and condoned this act of Zhao Youlin.

After Zhao Youlin finished ordering, Ye Yan basically had nothing more to order. After adding a few beverages, he politely asked that waiter to leave.

The waiter's legs were trembling as he walked away, He obviously was not yet recovered from all those dish names they had given him.

After the one who interrupted them walked away, the atmosphere between them returned to the initial calmness. However it was not as harmonious as at the beginning. Instead, the atmosphere was slightly repressive.

In the end, it was Ye Yan who took the initiative and opened his mouth. "Youlin, what do you usually like to do?"

When Zhao Youlin heard this question from Ye Yan, the corner of her eyes rose slightly. She said perfunctorily, "Raising Joy has already cost me most of my energy, I don't have the mood to do anything else."

Ye Yan heard Zhao Youlin's perfunctory reply, but it did not bother him. He continued. "Joy seems to be a very obedient child. I don't think he would tax too much of your energy. Besides, I heard that you have recently moved back to live with the Zhao family. Mistress Yarong is helping you take care of Joy, that will give you more free time."

Ye Yan was stunned. He was about to explain when he suddenly heard footsteps coming from behind him. It turned out that some of the dishes they just ordered were ready and brought up early.

The waiters who came in interrupted the conversation between them. After all the dishes were served, those waiters once again left in an orderly fashion. However, the topic they were talking about before had become irrelevant because of the aroma of the food on the table that permeated the air.

"Eat up. These are your favorites, right? You have to eat more after ordering so much, otherwise, it will go to waste." Ye Yan smiled lightly as he put a piece of sashimi into Zhao Youlin's bowl.

Zhao Youlin was stunned for a second. She looked at the food in the bowl hesitantly. Then, she thanked Ye Yan politely before raising her chopsticks and starting eating.

After working all morning, she was already hungry. There was no need to let some messy things affect her mood and mistreat her stomach.

When Ye Yan saw that Zhao Youlin did not resist the food he put in her bowl, his eyes slightly smiled. He became more enthusiastic in putting the food in Zhao Youlin's bowl.

"This is one of their special dishes here. Try it and see if it's to your liking."

"I had this one last time. It tastes pretty good. Try it."

"And this. I heard you like seafood. Salmon and salmon roe sushi are good. Try them too."

"And this shrimp over here. Looks like it's not too convenient to eat. Why don't I help you peel the shells first…"

Ye Yan's gentle and magnetic voice filled her ears. Although it sounded quite pleasant, it annoyed her as she listened to it more, especially along with his verbose phrases, while more dishes filled her bowl.

"Youlin…" Ye Yan's chopsticks that were reached forward to her stiffened mid-air. His expression was slightly sunken like he had been hurt.

Zhao Youlin's brows trembled. She took a deep breath to hold back the throbbing veins on her head. She said with an artificial smile, "I mean, I have enough on my bowl. My bowl is full now. I'll finish these first. As for the rest, I'll help myself if I want to eat the rest."

After saying that, as if she had remembered something, she added awkwardly. "You should eat too. There is so much food, I can't finish it myself."

Only then was Ye Yan satisfied and withdrew his chopsticks. The smile at the corners of his lips became deeper. He said softly, "Okay."

The smile on Zhao Youlin's face stiffened slightly. Ye Yan's smile had given her terrible goosebumps. In desperation, she had no choice but to bury her head in the food to cover up her gaffe.

This meal was obviously sumptuous, yet Zhao Youlin did not enjoy it. While she was eating, she was worried that she might get an indigestion when she went back later.
