Chapter 460: Won't Be Doing The Same Mistake

"..we have eyes and ears everywhere in this country, especially in this city. No one escapes our eyes"

Monk shrugged his shoulders and said, "I didn't say anything, I'm just surprised that you know their blind spots, and you really didn't come here to relax in the past, did you? You actually came here to map out the blind spots of those surveillance outpost, thinking it might come handy in the future"

Sun Bin replied, "You are only halfway correct, I did come here to relax in the past, though I wasn't able to help myself and created a safe path up this mountain during that time by taking advantage, by your word. the "blind spots" of those surveillance outposts"

Moments later while they were talking, the cars coming up earlier slowly arrived one by one while some of the guards of the mansion quickly came over to welcome them, and the new arrivals numbered around thirty or so.

The people were dressed in fancy suits and accompanied by their own partners, who were women of different ages, and that same goes for the men.

One of them even looked to be around his mid to late twenties.

All of them were quickly escorted inside the mansion while bearing gifts.

Monk and Sun Bin looked at each other, and the former said, "Was it a secret rendezvous under the guise of a social gathering?"

"It's a possibility since those who just arrived are quite familiar to me, one of them was the Mayor of Anyang, while the rest were prominent business men, assemblymen, and the few are even famous actors of my country. Though it's not surprising, you can treat them as the rotten apples of our country who were more biased to foreigners compared to their own fellow countrymen"

Monk wore a complicated look on his face as things spiraled into something he never expected to happen tonight.

"This..it seems we can only put the machine gun to the side and pick them off one by one. There are too many people involve"

Though Sun Bin immediately contradicted him, "Why would we do that when there's a lot of fish to be caught?"

"Are you insane? The plan was to only assassinate those three, and if we kill the rest, it would escalate into an act of terror from a simple assassination! I don't think your country would be able to handle the aftermath if we do this. Don't forget that those people who just arrived are public figureheads, while the other three are people who mastermind things from the dark and the public doesn't know much about them"

"Since the people don't know them, their deaths are easier to cover up, while the deaths of those public figureheads would become a massive headache, especially when their deaths was caused by that thing you're holding right now"

Sun Bin looked at him with a smile and replied, "Why? Are you getting cold feet now? Since your purpose of coming here was because of those three, then do that while I do mine, and by mine, eliminating those new arrivals"

"Why are you so adamant in wanting to kill them? Don't tell me you have a grudge against all of them?" Monk replied while cursing at this crazy woman inside his head.

"Nope, it's just that I owe someone and I didn't expect that these people would be coming here tonight. It made it easier for me to repay what I owed, and besides, it wouldn't be our problem what happens after this" Sun Bin replied with a smirk on her face.

"Just make sure to clean up our tracks after this since I don't want to labeled as a terrorist and tarnishing my reputation"

Sun Bin looked at him with a sneer and said, "Really, since when did you become so soft?"

"I'm not being soft, I'm just being cautious since our targets tonight aren't just rich businessmen or ordinary politicians anymore. Don't forget, those three people can influence the world's economy and politics with just a word from them" Monk said with all seriousness.

While Sun Bin just shrugged her shoulders and replied, "That only applies to the other two, but Kwon Jung-jin isn't even at their level. Why do you think that bastard keeps clinging to those two?"

"Why?"

Genuinely curious, Monk couldn't help but ask as his information about that man is limited.

"Kwon Jung-jin, he can't compare to the likes of Grom Biden and Richard Rothschild. Those two have the support of their large families that had been controlling a large part of the world since three centuries ago. The former was just lucky to rise to his current status. In fact, it is so fragile that he would have long been dead if those two happened to suddenly stop associating with him" Sun Bin explained while watching the movements of the people inside the mansion.

Then she continued, "And besides, if those two die here tonight, someone will take the blame for us. You have been out of the game for a while, so you probably don't know but ever since you guys have disappeared, the waters have become even more complicated. Besides, Grom and Richard are just mere figureheads, they are not the real patriarchs of their families since I wouldn't have dared to accompany you tonight. Their deaths will barely cause a ripple. So stop worrying and let out all of your frustrations that you have been suppressing for years tonight"

Listening to her words, Monk was finally cleared of his doubts, and he does admit that he has been behind the times.

"I see, but I'm worried though. I'm even prepared to be hunted down when those families issue a bounty on my head. Instead, what I'm worried about is you. Compared to Genesis and me, we don't have anything tying us down anymore, while on the other hand, you now have a family tying you down. That's why I insisted that you don't need to accompany me"

Sun Bin smiled as she knew where he's coming from, "Didn't you hear what I said earlier? Someone will cover our backs for us, and sorry to say this but, I wouldn't be making the same reckless mistake you did in the past"

"Hmmp!"
