Chapter 406 - Stalemate And The Charge

The moment Zabuto activated his skill, a large number of vines suddenly burst out from the ground and created a three meter tall semi dome made of vines!

When the undead sword collided against the vine shield, it created a sound similar to something hitting a metal, creating sparks.

Zabuto quickly drank a potion as he plummeted into dangerous levels when the Death Knight's attack had landed on his shield, and because skills are still considered an extension of their bodies, he received a backlash from it which prompted him to drink a health potion.

"Damn…" Moniker cursed when he felt the growing weakness on his body when his body returned to normal.

"This is the reason why I'm reluctant to use this skill. Good thing, those boneheads had stopped attacking us or I would have died by now"

The Death Knight kept smashing the vine shield while Zabuto kept drinking health and mana potions to alleviate his decreasing health and mana that's keeping the vine shield together.

"Guys, any second now would be awesome! My potions can't keep up with my consumption anymore!"

Meanwhile, on the other hand.

"Bloody hell! That Death Knight is too cunning! We need to break through this blockade or the two of them will die!"

The side of the Solitary Tempest and the others were completely different compared to the side of Moniker and Zabuto. The former group is being crazily attacked on all sides by the undead army, while the latter group is engaged inside a duel ring created by the undead army, with their only opponent, the Death Knight.

Which resulted in the two being isolated from the rest of the group, where they should now expect that they wouldn't be receiving any help from the others for a couple of minutes.

Which is enough time for them to die multiple times!

"Sh*t," Moniker cursed as he immediately moved behind Zabuto and gave him a basic [Heal], a skill among Healer classes as the Death Knight kept smashing the vine shield continued with no sign of stopping, followed by a chilling laughter that it seemed to be enjoying seeing its prey suffer from helplessness.

"If they don't break through the blockade before my potions run out, we're dead!" Zabuto said between gritted teeth as he was perspiring with sweat all over his body.

"Shut up, I know. Do you think I'm blind?! Dammit, where is that damn old man anyway?!"

Like a miracle following his words full of frustration, Moniker and Zabuto, and the others on the opposite side of the duel ring immediately heard the sound of rumbling of horse hooves and shaking of the ground that slowly intensified!

"FOR THE EMPIRE!"

"UOHHH!"

The imperial cavalry appeared and had remained unstoppable even under the constant blockade of the undead army that had tried to slow them down along the road to reach this place, and a new change also took place as hundreds of meters behind the imperial army, there's also another cavalry made up of humans with animal features riding on different mounts rushing towards their direction.

Moniker's eyes quickly lit up in excitement as he couldn't help but curse while laughing in delight, "F*cking old man, you're finally here!"

"My fellow kinsmen! For our brothers and sisters that died on the battlefield! For the civilians that these undead bastards had brutally slaughtered! Release all of your pent up frustrations and hatred on that monster and kill it!" The Beastmen General said with a yell as he pointed its spear towards the Death Knight who had stopped attacking and was looking at them.

A notification immediately attracted the attention of Moniker, and when he saw it, he couldn't help but laugh loudly, which was followed by a sudden warcry containing all of his bottled frustrations!

"Ahhhh!"

"Death Knight, die!"

The Human General and his army finally broke through to the duel ring and didn't even hesitate for a second and just charged towards the Death Knight with his glaive raised shining with flaming splendor!

Moniker immediately grabbed Zabuto and pulled him away from there as the after effects of two BOSS level characters fighting is not something the two of them could handle!

"I was waiting, human bug!"

"Bug your head! I've been looking forward to meeting you, so have a taste of my glaive!"

The glaive covered in burning flames was met with a sword covered in a deathly aura that looks like there's countless souls screaming inside!

The old general kept striking at the Death Knight while the latter kept on defending, and slowly but surely, it was slowly getting pushed back as it actually wasn't expecting that the Human General could actually stand its ground and even pushed it back.

But the general didn't let up as it continued to land blows after blows while its men along with the beastmen army were busy engaging with the undead army around them.

Looking from the skies, the Beastman General landed a few attacks on the Death Knight before leading his men around, and stopped a couple of hundred meters away from the engagement and created a buffering zone in the middle of the Brien Theater, creating two separate battlefields.

With one side, the humans mixed with a couple from other races are facing the Death Knight and its army, while the other side, a combination of the Elven and Dwarven race and the remaining Beastmen and Human infantry are instead facing off the rest of the undead army that the Beastmen cavalry are blockading from the opposite direction and going to their side, which is very admirable of them as they are taking a large brunt of attacks from the two sides!

In fact, what was happening now was actually a secret plan that had been brewing for a while, and was only agreed on by all of the races involved when they found a group of players suitable to join them on the raid.
