Chapter 2988 - Everyone is on their own!

In the Southern area, Qian Renji’s team had suffered a great blow. Huang Bo, Yue Changzhi and Qian Renji were the only ones left within the team. The others were killed. Her expression was dark as they were surrounded by more than a hundred beasts. The three of them were fending for their lives, and they only managed to hold on thanks to Qian Renji but she was getting seriously wounded.

“We’ll be in danger if this goes on.” Huang Bo said.

“Yeah, Instructor Ji, what should we do?” Yue Changzhi’s expression was pale.

He would've died several times over if it wasn’t for Qian Renji saving him again and again.

“The jade plaque has been shattered, let’s hope that the Third Elder will come quickly.” Qian Renji wiped away the blood on her lips as she stood tall beside the corpses of several dozen snow beasts. However, their attacks were getting fiercer.

At the same time, in the eastern direction, the Third Elder looked at the hundred or so beasts behind him with an ugly expression. Almost at the same time, he could feel three plaques shattering.

The Third Elder was facing several hundreds of beasts for quite some time. He did not want to fight any longer because he had found the entrance.

Now that they found the entrance, they must take the chance.

The Third Elder’s expression became stiff, the three jade plaques shattered almost at the same time. They could not possibly locate the entrance because the entrance was right before them, this meant that they were in danger.

“Then, we can only pray for them.” The Third Elder gritted his teeth.

He would’ve gone and saved them if he could, but several hundred snow beasts were surrounding them, not allowing them to break through. However, if he alone were to break through, the disciples would be in great danger. The Third Elder must forgo some of them, it would be great if they could survive, but if they were to die, that’s their fate. He did not expect the beasts to come at them this fiercely as they entered the mountains.

The five of them were elated by the Third Elder’s decision to not rescue the other groups as they were also facing great difficulties. They were not selfish, but it was a decision after careful deliberation, the best possible outcome.

Jiang Chen, the Sheng Brothers and the Half-Step Hierarch disciples were facing three hundred or so beasts. They were outnumbered and were getting pushed back.

On the other side, Yang Xikuan and Chi Haifei were faced with a Hierarch and more than thirty Half-Step Hierarch beasts, in addition to hundreds of Late Divine Kings. Their situation was much more dangerous.

Nobody expected Dou Tianhuang to be a chaos bringer, causing them to be faced with such an onslaught.

Jiang Chen retreated as he defended his perimeter. His physical prowess were top-notch, shocking his teammates. Every punch he threw would ensure that one of those beasts got gravely injured. Sheng Bing could only handle 40-50 of them alone, yet, Jiang Chen was able to take on a hundred of them, on-par with Sheng Kun. Nevertheless, these crazy onslaught of the beasts were not something that they could easily defend against.

Slowly, the others began to show fatigue and slowly got injured. Sheng Bing was better off as he was supported by his brother. However, this could not persist any longer.

“Save me…” Li Chuang’s expression changed, he was exhausted due to the continuous battle.

“F*ck off!”

Jiang Chen shouted as he pushed back a dozen beasts, and grabbed Li Chuang towards his side as they were a team.

Sheng Kun looked at Jiang Chen with shock. It was impossible for him to save Li Chuang as he was surrounded by hundreds of beasts, yet Jiang Chen managed to do it.

“Thanks.” Li Chuang said with a pale expression.

However, the danger was still looming across them. After Jiang Chen gave him a dozen replenishing pills, he was able to hold his side. On the other side, the Sheng Brothers were feeling heavily pressured.

“Big Brother, I can’t hold on any longer.” Sheng Bing’s expression was getting pale.

He was starting to feel tired. Sheng Kun felt the same, he was at his limit. It would be impossible to break through. No matter how powerful a tiger is, it’ll get overwhelmed by a horde of hungry wolves.

“Hold on!” Sheng Kun gritted his teeth.

Jiang Chen frowned. Looks like I have to put in some work.

“Five Elemental Trigram Fire Formation! Come forth.” Jiang Chen shouted.

Jiang Chen’s Five Elemental Trigram Fire Formation had reduced the speed of the horde. The formation pushed back many of the snow beasts, as their resistance towards flame was extremely low, plus, the might of the divine flame was not something that could be easily defended.
