“Enemy attack! There are enemies breaking in!”

Black Dragon Gang members let out piercing warnings through the loudspeakers placed in the corridors and laboratories.

Together with the local area network and communication lines inside this three-story underground building, everyone soon received this piece of news.

Black Dragon and Doctor Ghost—who were in the lower three levels—were naturally no exception.

“Enemy attack?” A speck of surprise flashed across Doctor Ghost’s face.

Ever since they obtained the best ‘container’ from the No Retreat Army’s base, they’d erased all traces and focused on the ‘man-made god’ plan.

Nobody should’ve discovered this base.

Black Dragon narrowed his eyes slightly. Hints of speculation flashed through his eyes, and Link’s figure even surfaced in his mind. He quietly thought in his heart, Is it that man—who carries an aura that does not belong to this world—that has come to our doorstep?

Although a little surprised, there wasn’t the slightest bit of bewilderment and nervousness on Doctor Ghost and Black Dragon’s faces.

There was no other reason; this area had been injected with the two people’s painstaking efforts. It was the Black Dragon Gang’s foundation, and it had long been forged into an extremely frightening place!

The ones who ought to feel fear and despair should be those intruders!

“There is still some time before the final cocoon break. We might as well move to the main control room; let us see exactly what clowns have barged in here.” There seemed to be vague rows of numbers flickering in Doctor Ghost’s mechanical eyeballs, and his tone was full of jest.

He clearly didn’t take the intruders seriously. He even saw them as bugs that he could freely wipe out. They were merely a small appetizer before they admired the breaking of the cocoon.

An obscure glow flashed across Jiang Cheng’s eyes; he did not decline and followed Doctor Ghost to the main control room.

Inside the control room was a massive screen. It was split into many frames—they were images of the various areas in the base.

Troubled times had arrived; humankind’s order crumbled, and changes happened to the laws too. Even the majority of technological creations lost their effects. Or rather, they needed to mutually fuse with the current rules and forces.

Presently, all the cameras used by Black Dragon Gang were created by Doctor Ghost with Myth-grade Craftsman skills in conjunction with the pre-apocalypse technological creations.

The pieces of mechanical creations had eyeballs made of flesh on their surfaces and existed in the various inconspicuous corners of the base, constantly turning and watching everything.

Following Doctor Ghost’s manipulation, an image was enlarged.

Inside it was shockingly Link and company.

The Black Dragon Gang members in that area had presently all turned into broken limbs and minced flesh and laid on the ground.

Black Dragon looked at the young man holding a golden longsword in the image and said coldly, “It’s indeed him.”

A cold gleam abruptly lit up in Doctor Ghost’s eyes. The killing intent in his heart even erupted immediately. It could be said that enemies saw red the moment they met. “Link has got some nerve! We did not find trouble with him, yet he actually brought people to come right to our door and seek doom! Truly, hell has no gates, yet you insist on barging in!”

Jiang Cheng also arched his brow slightly as he looked at Zhao Yongkang and Link—who appeared in the image—but a contemplative smile soon showed at the corner of his lips. “Zhao Yongkang is here too. It seems like the No Retreat Army already belongs to Unfallen City. The altar that you people set up at No Retreat Army’s base was also destroyed by this Link—he’s really haunting.”

With gloom all over his face, Doctor Ghost said, “No need to worry. Since this Link has barged in here by himself, there will certainly be no possible escape for him. There are many defective products in the laboratories left behind from the processes of transforming aberrated weapons.”

“Those little fellows... Though they have fallen into madness and are difficult to constrain due to being unable to bear the God of Evil’s gifts, their destructibility is certainly terrifying. They are enough to rip this group of people into pieces! We shall admire the performance that these few clowns are putting up with their lives.”

The light in Jiang Cheng’s eyes glimmered as he stared at the whirlpool mask on Link’s face. Even though he was only looking at it through the screen currently, he could still sense twistedness and blasphemy. It was as if his soul was about to be sucked in!

“This Link is very special. If possible, I hope to capture him alive! There must be a considerable number of secrets on him!”

Black Dragon also nodded, his gaze staring fixedly at Link. “At the very least, we have to keep a complete corpse. He must have a lot of good stuff on him!”

As the trio conversed, Link—who was walking through the corridor—seemed to have discovered something and abruptly turned his head.

In the image, it was as if Black Dragon and company—who were monitoring everything—had been found.

A fierce gaze shot toward them!

That gaze was filled with iciness and apathy. Steaks of sword shadows seemed to be flowing inside it. Together with that whirlpool mask, it made Doctor Ghost’s heart drop involuntarily, and a sense of chilliness rose.

After which, they only saw Link’s wrist jerk, and the image before their eyes turned black. Evidently, the monitoring camera in that area had been destroyed!

This act was like establishing an imposing air for himself. It made Black Dragon and the others’ countenances more grim.

Doctor Ghost ordered his assistant at the side through gritted teeth, his tone utterly cold as if small pieces of ice were jumping out of his mouth. “Release experimental bodies No. 6, No. 13, and No. 8! Let them get a good sense of fear!”

After Link casually destroyed an eyeball in the shadows, he stated with an aloof countenance, “There are monitoring facilities here.”

Luo Xinghe frowned. “They’ve been watching us the whole time? After the apocalypse arrived, the majority of the technological creations have lost their utility. It seems like Doctor Ghost’s forging ability is indeed frightening. The subsequent path will probably be very dangerous!”

Zhao Yongkang and the others nodded silently, being on-guard in their hearts.

Before long, as the few people walked into a spacious hall, an alloy door suddenly descended behind them and blocked their route of retreat.

At the same time, multiple alloy doors abruptly opened before them, looking like massive, pitch-black openings.

Snarls that made one’s scalp numb and frightening auras of degeneration and filth came out from those dark doors!

There were aberrated, stout cubes of flesh all over the monster. Black spines even covered its head. The big mouth at its abdomen opened, and foul-smelling saliva constantly dripped to the ground.

Its saliva seemed to possess very terrifying corrosivity—even the ground that was made of alloy saw green smoke rising.

While the monster’s arms and legs were bloated and thick, it had also aberrated to produce many spear-like chelicerae. They sparkled with a cold gleam.
