Ye Qingli recognized the voice.

She looked up frantically and right in front of her, barely a centimeter’s breadth was a pair of onyx-like eyes as dark as the deepest recesses of the galaxy.

No woman would have been able to resist the allure of these eyes.

Yet the first thing Ye Qingli could do was to open her mouth and let loose a guttural shriek.

“ARRGGHHH—”

But her voice hardly broke out when Jun Aohan bent down.

And he furiously pressed his lips against hers!

It was a strong and forceful kiss. One that almost left her breathless.

A thought haunted her.

Surely he’s not transmigrated from France?!Why is he so good at French kisses?!

Keeping the woman still wrapped in his arms, Jun Aohan slowly glided to the ground.

On her face, he caught the unmistakable hint of a smile.

The pair dislodged from each other easily as if the kiss they had just shared was just as common as water is wet.

But deep inside Jun Aohan, he was practically pulsing with elation as he put on a large overcoat.

Does her reaction seem to be less aggressive than before?

Then he remembered what Lu Xuanji told him:

He seems to be right, Jun Aohan mused quietly.

Ye Qingli blinked blankly at his face, looking docile and rather defeated.

Still, how would she respond if he makes any mention of that promise again…

Without being as embarrassed as before, she strode to a stool and sat down.

On the granite table beside her, she saw a number of fruits and other snacks, and she unabashedly shoved some into her mouth and began chewing.

That reminded her.

“This place is my…” Jun Aohan was about to speak when he managed to rein himself in.

Can I risk revealing my true identity to her now?Surely she’d guess who I really am if I were to say that this is a country home of mine?

He changed what he was about to say.

“I came upon this place by chance. I come here once in a while now. For leisure.”

Ye Qingli chuckled.

“I’d say that whoever owned this place is an idiot. Such lavish architecture and furnishing. To think that he had all these built, only for them all to fall into your hands. Do you happen to find out who the idiot was?”

“...” Jun Aohan fell speechless.

Then he realized something. Ye Qingli was trying to divert his attention.

That promise! She had agreed to make good on her promise and I have always intended to keep it! She’s trying to avoid bringing that up?!

He stepped up to her, his tall frame lumbering over Ye Qingli like a menacing eagle and a little helpless chick.

“Wait a minute,” he muttered quietly, “Don’t you think you owe me an explanation?”

“Heh heh heh, what are you talking about?” Ye Qingli giggled sheepishly.

Dammit, why does his memory have to be so good!He remembers!
